Consulting

I am available for consulting assignments that involve my areas of expertise.  My primary qualification for doing consulting work is the 18 years of experience I gained working for the United States Governmentl Accountability Office (GAO) as an Evaluator and Senior Evaluator (position titles since changed to Analyst and Senior Analyst).  Much of what GAO Analysts and Senior Analysts do is consulting by nature.  My GAO work experience is described in detail in my curriculum vitae and in my work experience page on this site.  In addition, please consider my professional certifications, professional association activities and memberships, education, and references described in other pages on this site.

Arbitration & Mediation

I am available for arbitration and mediation assignments that involve my areas of expertise.  My primary qualification for doing arbitration and mediation work is my training and experience as an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).  On February 21, 2001, I and two other NASD arbitrators rendered a decision in Grothaus v. Litigation Support

I am available for litigation support assignments that involve my areas of expertise.  My three primary qualifications for doing litigation support work are the experience I gained 1) assisting Annapolis, Maryland Attorney Walter T. Charlton since 1998 pursuing class action age discrimination, reverse discrimination, and retaliation lawsuits against GAO, 2) pursuing a power reliability complaint against Commonwealth Edison Company on a pro se basis before the Illinois Commerce Commission since 1999, and 3) pursing various lawsuits since 1988 on a pro se basis.  Defendants in those lawsuits include a homebuilder, municipality, attorney, the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board, two automobile dealers, and GAO.  Claims involved in those lawsuits include the validity of an arbitration clause, fraud, breach of contract, the correctness of assessed valuations, failure to honor warranty, age discrimination, reverse discrimination, and retaliation.  I have experience doing legal research, conducting depositions, and arguing motions and appeals.  I have prepared complaints, interrogatories, notices to produce records, motions, responses to motions, appeals, and petitions to the Illinois and United States Supreme Courts.  For information on my age discrimination, reverse discrimination, and retaliation lawsuit against GAO, please visit Case No. 16 on Adversity.Net.   For information on my odometer fraud lawsuit against the Chicago Car Exchange that I petitioned the United States Supreme Court, please visit www.diersen.com/odometer.  In addition, please consider my curriculum vitae, professional certifications, professional association activities and memberships, education, work experience, and references described in other pages on this site.

Investment Portfolio Analysis
I am available for investment portfolio analysis assignments.  My primary qualifications for doing portfolio analysis work are 1) the course work I completed while earning a MS in financial markets and trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1997; 2) experience I gained concerning financial products, especially derivatives, while auditing federal financial institution regulators for GAO; 3) experience I gained monitoring and analyzing a large portfolio of stocks and fixed income instruments since 1998 using Captool and Quicken Deluxe; and 4) training and experience I gained as an arbitrator for NASD since 1998.  For more detailed information on the financial experience I gained while at GAO, please visit the “Areas of Specialization” section of my curriculum vitae.  In addition, please consider my professional certifications, professional association activities and memberships, education, work experience, and references described in other pages on this site.

Public Policy Advocacy

I am available for public policy advocacy assignments that involve local government policies and operations.  My primary qualification for doing public policy advocacy work is the experience I gained from assisting local public policy interest groups present their positions to elected city and county officials and to the news media.  That work included developing strategy, drafting letters to government officials and newspaper editors, obtaining signatures on petitions, and speaking at city council and county board meetings.  For information on public policy advocacy issues I have been involved in over the years, please visit Consumerism & Public Policy Advocacy page on this site.

Website Design & Maintenance

I am available for website design and maintenance assignments.  My primary qualification for website design and maintenance work is the experience I have gained since 2000 using Microsoft FrontPage designing and maintaining this website as well as the Milton Township Republican Central Committee’s website.  In addition, I have published and updated many less complex websites using online software provided by Register.com and other Internet Service Providers.
