— How did 9/11 change your life? DD: One of the many reasons why 9/11 continues to have a big impact on me is my having been in the buildings that fell when I worked for GAO in the 1990s. When the buildings fell, I was delivering press release kits for Republican State Representative Randy Hultgren and I saw one of the buildings fall live while I was at the Chicago Tribune office in Oak Brook. I have flown an American flag off my front poach 24 hours a day every day since September 11, 2001.
