— Highland Park grads reconnect at 50th reunion – Denys Bucksten  (DIERSEN: Are you going to attend or did you attend your 50th high school reunion?  One could argue that to judge your success/failure in life, the most relevant comparison group is those who graduated with you from high school who shared your demographics.  My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always judged themselves to be successes and me to be a failure.  Will they highlight certain White male members of the Crete-Monee High School Class of 1966 to make me look like a failure?)

— When the Pilot Is a Mom: Accommodating New Motherhood at 30,000 Feet – ANNALYN KURTZ  (DIERSEN: During the 1990s, to attract and to keep young female employees, GAO gutted its smoking room in its Chicago office and turned it into a lactation room.)
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/17/business/when-the-captain-is-mom-accommodating-new-motherhood-at-30000-feet.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Boarding a flight can feel like stepping into a time capsule — men typically fly the plane, while most flight attendants are still women. Which is why a female pilot from Delta Air Lines did something dramatic at a union meeting recently. Standing before her male colleagues, the captain unbuttoned her uniform, strapped a breast pump over the white undershirt she wore underneath, and began to demonstrate the apparatus. As the machine made its typical “chug, chug, chug” noise, attendees squirmed in their seats, looked at their feet and shuffled papers. It was the latest episode in what has proved to be a difficult workplace issue to solve: how to accommodate commercial airline pilots who are balancing new motherhood. It is a question that some employers have answered by creating leave policies or lactation rooms. But the flight deck of a jumbo jet isn’t a typical workplace. Pilots are exempt from a provision in the Affordable Care Act requiring employers to accommodate new mothers. At 30,000 feet, the issue touches not only on pilot privacy, but also aircraft safety. At Delta, a group of women pilots have banded together through a private Facebook page and have approached their union with formal proposals for paid maternity leave — unheard-of at the major airlines — because they say they would like to stay home to breast-feed their babies. At Frontier Airlines, four female pilots are suing the company for discrimination, seeking the option of temporary assignments on the ground while pregnant or nursing. While their proposals differ, all say they aim for one thing: to avoid situations in which pilots have been leaving the cockpit in midflight for as long as 20 minutes, the amount of time often required to pump breast milk.)
— Taking Summer School to Get Ahead, Not Catch Up – KYLE SPENCER  (DIERSEN: What did you do with your summers while you were in high school and college?  I delivered newspapers, did yard work, washed dishes, cleaned golf shoes, chipped slag, pumped gasoline, and delivered mail to earn money for college expenses and for new cars to commute to and from college classes.)

WASHINGTON POST

USA TODAY
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Anti-Trumps ask “After Trump, can the Republican Party be rebuilt?”  If trump loses, the greater the margin that he loses by, the faster that anti-Trumps will get rid of those who are Protestant, conservative, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owners, and/or those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time.

FED SMITH
— House Republicans List Perjury Allegations Against Clinton – Ian Smith  (DIERSEN: If I was still working for GAO, my Democrat GAO superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates would have killed me by now figuratively if not literally.  They always punished me for everything that Republicans did that they disapproved of.  What they did is called political affiliation discrimination.)

THE GUARDIAN
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Ever-increasingly, Democrats and RINOs side with foreign countries and with the citizens of foreign countries against America and against the citizens of America.  Foreign countries want to continue sending their citizens into America as they wish.  Many, if not most, if not virtually all foreign countries a) despise if not hate America, b) want to turn America into a clone of their country, and c) send their citizens into America to accomplish that goal. How soon will China send billions of its citizens into America?  To accomplish a Chinese takeover of America, how fast would the citizens of China throw the citizens of Mexico out of America?)
