DUPAGE COUNTY
— OUTSTANDING: DuPage County Votes to Prohibit Sale of Recreational Cannabis
https://www.dupageco.org/Content.aspx?id=61551
(FROM THE PRESS RELEASE: The DuPage County Board voted 10-8 on Tuesday to prohibit the sale of recreational cannabis in unincorporated areas. The Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act, which Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed on June 25, allows the County to pass an ordinance prohibiting the location of cannabis businesses. The Board determined the operation of cannabis businesses presents adverse impacts on the health, safety, and welfare of residents and additional costs and burdens on law enforcement and the judiciary system. The Board did vote, however, to assess the maximum permitted 3 percent sales tax on cannabis sales made at businesses located in DuPage County municipalities in order to help offset increased public safety costs.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: “My opposition to this really comes from public health reasons,” board member Tim Elliott said. “The public health data is clear.” The Glen Ellyn Republican said marijuana legalization will create a variety of problems, including increased cannabis use and addiction. He said the county shouldn’t profit from such sales. Elliott said Illinois lawmakers who supported legalizing marijuana “want county boards to take a share of their responsibility” by allowing such sales. “Springfield is offering us a piece of the action in exchange for our share of responsibility for what I’m certain is going to be a public health problem,” he said. “Let’s not be a party to this.” Still, six of the county board’s seven Democrats and two (Hart and Healy) and of its 11 Republicans voted against the prohibition and in favor of the sale.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: “The state of Illinois has made it a choice,” said Robert Larsen, R-Wheaton. “The state of Illinois has made a lot of bad choices over the years but we here in DuPage County have made better choices. “We can’t control the fact that they have chosen to legalize this drug everywhere in the state, but we can send the message to our constituents that we don’t want more sales of this in our county.” . . . “If you really believe that legalization is not going to result in greater accessibility and greater illicit use for underage users, please come see me because I have a bridge to sell you,” board member Tim Elliot, R-Glen Ellyn said. “These public health issues are going to happen … and yet we’re considering becoming part of this. Why?” . . . DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin did not vote on this issue, but after the meeting said he likely would have sided with the ban were it necessary for him to make a choice. “We had a healthy, robust debate and the majority says, you know, not now,” Cronin said.)

Last month, State’s Attorney Robert Berlin talked about issues other states faced after legalizing marijuana. He pointed to statistics showing Colorado experienced increases in property crime and violent crime. There also was an increase in the number of traffic fatalities with drivers testing positive for marijuana. County health department officials, meanwhile, said the availability of recreational marijuana is expected to increase use among adults and youths and hurt the health of residents. As a result, they are anticipating increased demand for public health services in DuPage.)

HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW
— Why Your Company Needs to Implement Pay Equity Audits Now – Robert Sheen (DIERSEN: If a pay equity audit of the federal government was done, it would show that it pays its employees who are Democrat, minority, female, and/or younger more than it pays its employees who are Republican, White, male, and/or older who have comparable work experience, education, and/or professional certifications and licenses. While I worked for GAO 1980-1997, GAO always paid its employees who are Democrat, minority, female, and/or younger more than it paid its employees who are Republican, White, male, and/or older who had comparable work experience, education, and/or professional certifications and licenses. GAO audits IRS. When GAO hired me in 1980, I had almost 9 years experience working for IRS, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $82,579-$93,592. I had passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979. I had earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976. I had almost completed the requirements for a master’s degree from DePaul. Much of what I did for IRS, including interviewing, data gathering, summary, and analysis, report writing, and making recommendations was similar to what I would be doing for GAO. NEVERTHELESS, the Democrats who ran GAO required me to take a $19,568 pay cut in today’s dollars (a downgrade from GS-12 Step 5 to GS-9 Step 10) to transfer. They would NOT have done that if I had been a Democrat, minority, and/or female.)

FED SMITH
— Presidential Power Versus Employees’ Constitutional Rights: Interpreting the Executive Orders Affecting Federal Workers – Mathew B. Tully, Esq. (DIERSEN: Constructively, federal employees who are Republican, White, male, and/or non-veteran are deemed to be “poor performers” if they do not make GS-13 (currently $98,198) by age 25, GS-14 (currently $116,040) by age 30, GS-15 (currently $136,495) by age 35, and Senior Executive Service (currently $165,500) by age 40. Extremely few federal employees make the aforesaid promotion deadlines.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Terminating Employees Deemed “Poor Performers” First off, there is a smaller timeframe in which to improve poor performance. The executive order to streamline removal procedures for federal employees decreases the amount of time that employees are subject to Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)—that provide employees a chance to improve their job performance following a poor evaluation or reprimand—to 30 days, government-wide. That window previously lasted between 60 and 120 days and was up to agency discretion as to the length of the PIP and/or extensions of the PIP. Federal employees should be aware of additional provisions in the executive order, which direct that:)

Notwithstanding the fact that I am White, male, non-veteran, German American, and Protestant, the federal government would have promoted me into its Senior Executive Service long before I was 40 if I had a) become a Democrat; b) been a yes-man; c) done more to help my superiors retain and promote young Democrat minorities and young Democrat females; d) helped my superiors get rid of their employees who were Republican, White, male, and/or non-veteran because they had not made GS-13 (currently $98,198) by age 25, GS-14 (currently $116,040) by age 30, GS-15 (currently $136,495) by age 35, and Senior Executive Service (currently $165,500) by age 40; and e) never complained about political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, retaliation, or anything else. I could have done much better in the organizations that I am/were a member of if I had a) found out who had the most clout in those organizations, b) glorified and praised them, c) pandered to them, d) served as their operative or dupe, and/or e) given them money.)

CHICAGO TRIBUNE
— ‘Respect, not silence’ is answer to political discourse – DENISE CROSBY (DIERSEN: What void do you fill? I fill the tremendous communications void created by, continued by, and aggravated by the Illinois Republican Party (IRP), Republican county party organizations in Illinois including the DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Republican township/ward party organizations in Illinois including the Milton Township Republican Central Committee. The IRP should send out emails similar to GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails that focus on statewide government and political issues. Republican county party organizations should send out emails similar to GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails that focus on countywide government and political issues. Republican township/ward party organizations should send out emails similar to GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails that focus on township/ward government and political issues. However, I acknowledge that paying people to do the aforesaid would cost a tremendous amount of money. DAILY HERALD
— Why Intel is going to share gender, racial pay data most companies conceal – Bloomberg (DIERSEN: If the federal government shared such pay data, it would show that it pays its employees who are Democrat, minority, female, and/or younger more than it pays its employees who are Republican, White, male, and/or older who have comparable work experience, education, and/or professional certifications and licenses.

You need one that reflects your personality and when you are sitting in it, the jealous glances stalk your way into the sunset. You need the gorgeous 2019 Ford Escape which delivers an agile performance, incredible handling, and extremely potent throttle. . .2019 FORD MUSTANG The ESTPs are the Energy Bombs. These spirited balls love thrills and the car fanatics of this category have likely been to each and every famous annual car show known to mankind. If you are an ESTP, you most likely are an extrovert, use your senses and thinking capabilities for making decisions and getting hold of information, and perceive things in your own unique way. The best Ford model for an ESTP is the 2019 Ford Mustang, which comes packed with a gas engine so powerful, it earned the nickname of “Godzilla.” The car itself harkens back to 1968’s Bullitt, so this is definitely a vehicle intended for those who appreciate a touch of speed.)

DAILY HERALD
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: OUTRAGEOUS, DISGUSTING, TRAGIC: Only one person spoke out against recreational pot at a recent South Elgin planning and zoning commission public hearing. Everyone in Illinois who claims to be religious, conservative, and/or Republican should speak out against recreational pot at municipal and county hearings. Especially the following should speak out against recreational pot at municipal and county hearings: Republican Precinct Committeemen and Captains; officers of Republican township, ward, and county organizations; Illinois Republican Party (IRP) State Central Committee members; IRP officers; the IRP National Committeeman and Committeewoman; activists; candidates; elected officials; major donors; political consultants; etc.)

— Facts Matter: With elections looming, watch out for fake news – Russell Lissau (DIERSEN: What qualifications do my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have to be fact checkers? While I worked for GAO 1980-1997, the last 11 years of which at GS-13 Step 1-10 levels, currently $98,198-$127,654, I increasingly worked as a referencer, that is, as a fact checker. That work required assuring the accuracy and support for each and every word, number, table, graph, chart, conclusion, opinion, and recommendation in GAO reports. I worked for IRS 1971-1980, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $82,279-$93,592. My other fact checking qualifications include my becoming a Forensic Accountant in 1997, Certified Fraud Examiner in 1990, licensed CPA in 1981, Certified Internal Auditor in 1981, and CPA in 1979. Further, according to my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes, my GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails are full of fake news. Needless-to-say, I should sue them. They stress that the neither the Illinois Republican Party (IRP), DuPage County Republican Central Committee (DCRCC), nor Milton Township Republican Central Committee (MTRCC) promote my GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails. They stress that I am no longer a TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce (WCC) Government Affairs Committee member, MTRCC webmaster, Illinois Center Right Coalition (ICRC) Steering Committee member, American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) Midwest Chapter board member, GAO employee, etc. They stress the adverse actions that IRP, DCRCC, MTRCC, TAPROOT, WCC, ICRC, AAPC, GAO, etc. have taken against me.)

PEORIA PUBLIC RADIO
— How Is Marijuana Expungement Working In Illinois? – MARIAH WOELFEL (DIERSEN: What do you want to be expunged? I want my Democrat superiors in the federal government to expunge from my employment record the adverse actions that they took against me. My Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, gave me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, did not promote me beyond GS-13, got rid of my mentor in 1987, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take a $19,568 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980. My Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, got rid of my mentor in 1975, and disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974. My Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969 and disallowed my sick leave requests in 1969 and 1968.)

Since 1966 when I was 18 years old, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have stressed to veterans that I avoided the draft. I sought and got four student draft deferments 1966-1970 and a financial hardship draft deferment 1970-1971.)
