Its organizer, radio host and political commentator Dan Proft, was removed last month from the volunteer board of Envision Unlimited, the event’s beneficiary. In its fifth year, Proft said the event was set to raise $600,000-$700,000 for Envision, a leading Chicago non-profit that runs employment programs for intellectually and developmentally-disabled (“IDD”) adults. Envision runs day and employment programming for IDD adults who have aged out of the state system. A longtime public advocate for such IDD programs, and a sharp-tongued critic of state leaders—mostly Democrat— for “funding IDD programs last, when they should be first,” the conservative Proft co-existed for six years on the Envision board amidst Chicago’s left-wing political royalty he often has criticized. Fellow board members included Dan Durbin, nephew of U.S. Sen. The agency, which serves as the guardian of the American financial system, has translated critical race and gender theories into official policy—all under the guise of “diversity, equity, and inclusion.” We have conducted an exclusive investigation that reveals the stunning capture of the Treasury, which, under the current DEI mandate, has worked to advance the principles of left-wing racialism, directing billions of dollars to favored racial and “underserved” groups, hiring a cadre of radical race “experts” to cement the new orthodoxy within the department, and considering potential auditees’ race in IRS tax investigations. This ideological shift started at the top. She also hired left-wing race activist Janis Bowdler as the department’s first Counselor for Racial Equity, a high-level position “charged with coordinating Treasury’s efforts to advance racial equity including engaging with diverse communities throughout the country.” Yellen and Bowdler wasted no time, working to advance some of Treasury’s most flagrant racial programs, which subordinated lending standards, federal contracting, hiring policy, and even IRS auditing rules to the new racial calculus. The most significant of these initiatives is the agency-wide effort to redirect billions of dollars toward supposedly oppressed racial groups and other “underserved communities.” In 2021, Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary Yellen jointly announced $8.7 billion in investments to increase lending to “minority-owned businesses,” among other groups. Two years later, the Treasury announced that some 30 private companies were committed to raising $3 billion in deposits for “underserved communities,” to be delivered through community-development financial institutions (CDFIs) and minority depository institutions (MDIs).)

They gave me bad job assignments and unfair performance expectations and appraisals. They assigned me to supervise their most problematic employees. They delayed my promotions and never promoted me beyond GS-13. They always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes. (FROM THE ARTICLE: As with so many other nationalities, the number of illegal aliens from India has surged under the Biden-Harris administration. Between fiscal year 2021 and August 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) had encountered over 274,000 illegal aliens from India. Indian illegal aliens have used a wide variety of routes to reach the U.S., with the rise of “Donkey Flights” being an interesting development. So-called “Donkey Flights” take their name from the 2023 Bollywood film Dunki, a comedy about Indian illegal immigrants named after the Punjabi slang for “hopping from place to place.” These flights see Indian nationals hopping between countries with weak visa requirements until they get to, or close to, the U.S. border. The donkey flights to the U.S. typically take Indians to Ecuador, then transport them to the Darien Gap and through Central America to the U.S. border. Other routes include shuttle flights from Nicaragua. The “weak passport” of India means that Indian nationals motivated to do this have only a limited number of countries they can hop through. The donkey flight trips are facilitated by fake travel agencies, known colloquially as “donkers.” Often, they promise to secure a legitimate visa in exchange for a large fee. Once the fee is paid, the applicant is told, usually after a short time delay, that the application was rejected. In reality, no application was ever made. However, the donker then helpfully offers to facilitate an illegal journey instead. In some cases, the pretense of obtaining a genuine visa is absent from the start, and the agency semi-openly offers illegal smuggling services. The Indian government has identified donker illegal travel agencies that advertise services for smuggling Indians into one of their three main choices of countries: the U.K., Canada and the U.S. Upon arrival, they often file fraudulent asylum claims. Some Indian nationals are even candid enough to admit the asylum claim is fraudulent, and a cover for the real motive, which is economic gain.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: As the federal government tightens asylum rules amid growing national tension over immigration, the Lake County Board this week unanimously voted to accept an expanded state grant to assist asylum-seekers. Lake County is the only county in Illinois to receive funding through the Supporting Municipalities for Asylum Seeker Services, or SMASS, program, which is now in its second year. The SMASS program focuses on funding services such as shelter and transitional housing support, food assistance, wraparound services, legal help and health and wellness care. The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus administers the program, distributing state money on behalf of the Illinois Department of Human Services. This year, Lake County officials secured a grant worth more than $1.13 million, an increase of about 9 percent from what they received last year. Mano a Mano Family Resource Center, which serves immigrant families, will receive $924,298 of that money, while North Suburban Legal Aid will get $184,404 to provide legal assistance to asylum-seekers. Lake County will retain $21,536 to cover administrative costs for managing the program. The North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic was founded in 2015 by Nancy Rotering, who is also a member of executive board the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus. Gov. J.B. Pritzker said the SMASS program was created in response to the policy of the Texas state government to provide people who show up at the southern border with free transportation to sanctuary cities. “As we continue to call for further federal support, and as Illinois takes a stand against the callous ways Texas Gov. Abbott is using human beings as political pawns, these grants will lend support where it is needed throughout the state,” Pritzker said, announcing the funding earlier this year. More than 49,000 asylum-seekers have arrived in Chicago on buses and planes since September 2022, not including those arriving independently or via Greyhound, according to city officials. In addition to the Lake County grant, several other municipalities and organizations across Illinois were awarded funding for the 2025 fiscal year through the SMASS program.
