While receiving billions of dollars in taxpayer funds, companies like Gotion are committing horrific crimes with America’s enemies. Lahood, a member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence called on the United States to ensure that companies follow the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act that prevents products made from Uyghur slave labor from entering the United States.
