(FROM THE ARTICLE: First up is Pete Buttigieg, the former South Bend mayor, who will sit down with the 2nd Congressional District rep today at 4 p.m. at Corliss High School. “Illinois Democrats will play a role in determining who the party’s presidential nominee,” Kelly said in a release to Playbook. “This district is a microcosm of Illinois, it is urban, suburban and rural stretching from Hyde Park down to Kankakee. The 2nd District is America.” In addition to Buttigieg, former VP Joe Biden, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, have agreed to participate in the coming weeks. Discussions are ongoing with the campaigns of former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, according to Kelly.)

CATHOLIC SUN
— MYOPIC VIEW CONTINUES TO IGNORE, DISCOUNT BELIEFS OF MILLIONS – JOYCE CORONEL (DIERSEN: Those who reject the traditional life plank in the Republican Party platform, their operatives, and their dupes have always worked very hard against me. I should write a book about them. I would focus on those who are/were leaders of the Milton Township Republican Organization, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and/or Illinois Republican Party. I would focus on those who have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Milton Township, DuPage County, and/or Illinois. I would focus on those who paint themselves as being religious, conservative, and/or Republican.)
https://www.catholicsun.org/2020/01/16/myopic-view-continues-to-ignore-discount-beliefs-of-millions/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: As someone who has worked for newspapers for years — and not just the Catholic press — I can tell you that pro-life journalists and those who harbor a more traditional, religious viewpoint are rare in most secular media outlets. There’s a silent assumption that opponents of gay marriage are ignorant bigots. The insistence to promote the LGBTQIA ideology is unassailable as editors fret over preferred pronouns and ignore the beliefs of millions of Americans. Who gets interviewed, what gets asked, what’s included and what gets edited out each pass through this biased lens, yielding a myopic, unbalanced view.)

CATHOLIC HERALD

REAL CLEAR POLITICS
— Women Win in Trump’s Economy – Adriana Cohen (DIERSEN: How soon, if not already, will employers post signs that say “MEN NOT WELCOME”? Ever-increasingly, Democrats and RINOs who have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout pressure employers to hire, retain, and promote women, and especially to hire, retain, and promote women who are anti-Trump, anti-Protestant, anti-conservative, anti-patriotic, anti-Republican, anti-American, anti-White, anti-male, anti-older people, anti-rich people, anti-gun owners, anti-German Americans, anti-draft avoiders, and/or anti-those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time.)
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2020/01/17/women_win_in_trumps_economy_142173.html

CIVIL JURY PROJECT
— The Long Shadow of the Civil Jury – Anna Offit (DIERSEN: How much jury appeal do you have? From what I see, ever-increasingly, the more of the following that you are, the less jury appeal that you have, that is, the more likely that you will lose in court: Trump supporter, Protestant, conservative, Republican, American, White, male, older, non-poor, gun owner, German American, draft avoider, past/present union member, past/present government employee, government retiree, non-dog owner, childless, and/or if your ancestors have been in America for a long time.)
https://civiljuryproject.law.nyu.edu/the-long-shadow-of-the-civil-jury/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Others more explicitly ascribed justice considerations to hypothetical lay decision-makers through references to the “jury appeal” of their cases. In some prosecutors’ formulations, jury appeal assessments were likened to asking, “If I were a juror, what would I think?”— or a practice of weighing whether a “hypothetical juror would feel the case should not be prosecuted even if it legally could be.” To this end, talk of jury appeal allowed sources of concern or ambivalence to be discussed from a position of detachment. In some instances jury appeal was cited in decisions to modify investigations or decline cases altogether.)

NEW YORK TIMES
— Why Mothers’ Choices About Work and Family Often Feel Like No Choice at All When policymakers frame “choices” as personal preferences, it distracts from major structural constraints. – Claire Cain Miller (DIERSEN: My outstanding father earned enough money that my outstanding mother could stay home and raise me and my brother. My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always used that to paint my father, my mother, and me as being undeservedly filthy rich. But I could ask, if I was undeservedly filthy rich, why did I do yard work and delivered newspapers 1962-1964; wash dishes 1964-1966; clean golf shoes, chip slag, and pump gasoline in 1966; deliver mail 1966-1969; and work on an automobile assembly line and as a security guard in 1970?)

I should write a book about those who promote age discrimination the most. I would focus on those who are/were leaders of the Milton Township Republican Organization, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and/or Illinois Republican Party. https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/recent-eeoc-enforcement-activity-58297/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Since the start of fiscal year 2020 (October 1, 2019-September 30, 2020), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has recovered more than $25 million in monetary relief and secured substantial equitable remedies from employers accused of engaging in unlawful race- and sex-based discrimination and harassment. In fiscal year 2018, the most recent period for which detailed enforcement data is available, the EEOC collected a total of $134 million on behalf of workplace harassment victims alone. While harassing conduct of a sexual nature is perhaps the most well-known form of workplace harassment, especially in light of the global #MeToo movement, it is far from the only kind that may expose an employer to significant risk of legal liability. According to the EEOC, more than 30% of the charges it receives each year include claims of unlawful harassment based on sex, race, disability, age, national origin, and religion (in that order).)

https://www.bizpacreview.com/2020/01/08/michelle-malkin-18-sellout-republican-governors-opt-for-more-migrants-as-sleeper-cell-fear-ramps-up-873368
(FROM THE ARTICLE: My plan to “Keep America Great” is very simple: 1) Stop exporting American soldiers to countries that hate our guts. 2) Stop importing people from countries that hate our guts. When I voted for Donald Trump in 2016, I thought this was the plan. The “America First” champion rightly assailed Barack Obama for recklessly endangering the lives of our soldiers to pursue politically driven endless wars. President Trump promised to build an effective wall on the southern border. He enacted tough travel restrictions, upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, on visitors from countries whose terror-coddling governments pose national security threats. Yet, here we are at the dawn of 2020 with thousands of U.S. troops headed back to the Stone Age Middle East maw, Mexican drug cartels on the loose while our Border Patrol hands out diapers to illegal immigrants and refugees from around the world — including nearly 1,400 welcomed just last year from the very high-risk countries the Trump travel ban was supposed to block — transforming the nation without the consent of the governed. The leaky block list includes Syria, Iraq and Iran, which launched multiple missiles at U.S. airbases late Tuesday in retaliation for our deadly airstrike last week that killed Quds General Qassem Soleimani. Now, we are on heightened alert here in our homeland with authorities nervous that Hezbollah sleeper cells (which I’ve documented since writing “Invasion” in 2002) might strike from within. Some of you still wonder why I write so frequently and vehemently about our failed immigration and entrance policies. It’s because nothing matters more right now to the survival of our country than the right to determine who gets in and the ability to enforce it. As I reported last year, thanks to an executive order signed by Trump in September, local communities were given the explicit opt-in rights to stem the lucrative tide of refugees coming largely from Third World countries and jihadist breeding grounds. This Wednesday, religious “charities” that profit the most from this multi-billion-dollar racket will be in court to assert blanket, open-borders veto power over the people. The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland will hear arguments from vested refugee resettlement interests who oppose Trump’s order requiring government contractors to obtain written consent from all localities and states in which they plan to resettle refugees. The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Church World Service and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service — three of the nine State Department partners who resettle all refugees — argue that the federal government should prioritize family reunification of foreign refugees over local control. Translation: Americans come last. The lawsuit assails the White House executive order for threatening “to systematically dismantle the organizations — including Plaintiffs — that have spent decades developing networks, expertise, and resources to carry out the American ideal of welcoming refugees.” Those “resources” come from you and me: Tax subsidies that constitute the vast majority of these nonprofit activists’ budgets. Over the past decade, according to an analysis by immigration researcher James Simpson, the three plaintiff groups have raked in the following amounts from the federal refugee resettlement program: –Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services: $471.6 million (94% from of its budget). –Church World Service: $433.3 million (72% of its budget). –Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society: $186.1 million (54% of its budget). The refugee resettlement contractors, in turn, spread their massive wealth — from both public and private sources — to a galaxy of subcontractors looking to register Democratic voters, fill their pews and recruit new clients and constituents. The “Interfaith Immigration Coalition” holding a protest event after the hearing on Wednesday to support the refugee pipeline includes: Columban Center for Advocacy and Outreach; Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd; U.S. Provinces; Daughters of Charity; Disciples Refugee & Immigration Ministries; Franciscan Action Network; Interfaith Immigration Coalition; Jewish Council for Public Affairs; Leadership Conference of Women Religious; National Advocacy Center of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd; National Council of Jewish Women; Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism; Rise for Refuge; Sisters of Mercy of the Americas – Institute Leadership Team; T’ruah; The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights; The United Church of Chr! ist; and We Are All America. Thanks to pressure from these groups with bottomless budgets and clout, 18 Republican — yes, Republican — governors are also standing against Trump and self-determination in favor of increased refugee settlement, including: Doug Ducey of Arizona, Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas, Eric Holcomb of Indiana, Kim Reynolds of Iowa, Brad Little of Idaho, Mike Parsons of Missouri, Larry Hogan of Maryland, Charlie Baker of Massachusetts, Mike DeWine of Ohio, Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma, Pete Ricketts of Nebraska, Chris Sununu of New Hampshire, Doug Burgum of North Dakota, Kristi Noem of South Dakota, Bill Lee of Tennessee, Gary Herbert of Utah, Jim Justice of West Virginia and Phil Scott of Vermont. The names must be named and the sellouts must be shamed, especially as war breaks out on all fronts. What’s the point of sending young American troops to fight enemies “over there” if we are welcoming them by the tens and hundreds of thousands over here?)

— Gov. J.B. Pritzker knows what angry taxpayers need: Legal weed – John Kass (DIERSEN: What do your critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes do? Mine talk and/or act like they a) did smoke pot, b) are smoking pot, c) want to smoke pot, d) want to kill all restrictions on smoking pot, e) want to make money selling pot, and/or f) want governments to take in lots of revenue from the sale of pot. (FROM THE ARTICLE: With economic refugees continuing to flee Illinois — we’ve lost more residents than any state in the U.S. over the decade — taxpayers have waited in vain for the political ruling class to explain how they’ll reverse the Illinois Exodus. But there were no answers from the ruling Democrats, Gov. J.B. Pritzker, House Speaker Mike Madigan and their Illinois Republican handmaidens. Until now. They’ve made weed legal. Logically, it follows that our wise masters want the people of Illinois to get stoned. Get stoned, Illinois. Thanks, Pritzker. Thanks, Boss Madigan. You’ve made Illinois into the Land of the Lotus-Eaters. What this means is that angry Illinois taxpayers can finally stop being angry. We can forget our mental anguish at being left behind in the Illinois Exodus by smarter, luckier people who got out when they could. All this reminds me of the companions of Odysseus in the land of the lotus-eaters. Once they bit into the lotus fruit, they lost their anger and wrath. They sat down and went to sleep. And taxpayers who remain in Illinois may legally sit in passive stupor before their video screens, waiting for Grubhub to bring Baja Blast from Taco Bell and playing “Call of Duty” until dawn. But don’t think I’m being critical of pot smokers. And medical marijuana users? I don’t mean you. If weed helps soothe your pain, do what’s best.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: But ask the veteran Northwest Side lawmaker what he sees as the biggest change, and he replies: the digitalization of democracy — the growing influence of social media to affect policy combined with a decline in the number of media outlets covering state government. “It’s the difference from a representative democracy to a direct democracy,” Cullerton said. “So, the old model (for voters) is, ‘I’m busy. I’m hiring you. Go down to Springfield. Listen to testimony. Make your informed decisions. Every two years, I’ll check on you,’” he said. “And now, you just go directly to the legislator (who says), ‘We don’t need to listen to any testimony. — The Winnebago County elected job no one wants Precinct committee posts prove tough for party leaders to fill – Isaac Guerrero (DIERSEN: I should write a book about what discourages conservatives like me from serving as a Republican Precinct Committeeman in Milton Township, in DuPage County, and in Illinois. According to this article, in Winnebago County, “Only 86 (23%) people filed to run for 378 precinct committee jobs up for grabs in the March primary.” In DuPage County, Republicans filed for Precinct Committeeman in 364 (39%) of DuPage County’s 930 Precincts. 2 years ago, 470 (51%) filed in those 930 precincts. 39 (57%) filed in Addison Township’s 69 precincts, 23 (56%) filed in Winfield Township’s 41 precincts, 50 (48%) filed in Bloomingdale Township’s 104 precincts, 56 (43%) filed in Milton Township’s 130 precincts, 29 (43%) filed in Wayne Township’s 68 precincts, 63 (40%) filed in Downers Grove Township’s 156 precincts, 48 (35%) filed in York Township’s 136 precincts, 34 (26%) file in Lisle Township’s 129 precincts, and 22 (23%) file in Naperville Township’s 97 precincts.)
https://www.rrstar.com/news/20191207/winnebago-county-elected-job-no-one-wants
(FROM THE ARTICLE: In the lowest-stakes election this voting cycle, candidates don’t even care if they’re thrown off the ballot. “If someone goes to the trouble of challenging my petitions and I’m thrown off the ballot, I’ll just get appointed after the election,” said county Auditor Bill Crowley, one of many precinct committeemen who didn’t trouble himself with getting the required 10 signatures this year. Precinct committeeman was once a job that aspiring politicians used to get a foot in the door of their party. These days, the elected position draws little interest. That’s understandable given the lack of pay and prestige and the generally minimal responsibilities. There are times, though, when the precinct committeeman plays a critical role. If a state representative dies in office or resigns, committeemen select a replacement. Committeemen historically have served as the foot soldiers of the two major parties, walking their neighborhoods to hand out literature and talk up their candidates. The lack of interest in the job troubles people who understand that committeemen don’t just build their parties from the ground up — they help nourish democracy at the grass roots. “As a precinct committeeperson, I teach people how to vote,” said Rockford Alderwoman Karen Hoffman, D-8, who also serves as a precinct representative in Ward 8, Precinct 3. She’ll be on the March ballot to keep that job. “I go out and I say, ‘OK, guys, if you’re not registered to vote, here’s what you need to do, here’s where you need to go, this is the deadline.’ I speak to people about early voting all the time. My whole purpose is to get out the vote. You’d be surprised how many people don’t understand the voting process. “Hopefully, after listening to me they’ll vote for Democrats — that’s my hope,” Hoffman said. “But I just want people to vote, no matter how they vote, to be a part of the process. My whole purpose is to teach and train people to vote and become involved in the election process. And if you don’t want to do that, then you really shouldn’t complain.” Only 86 people filed to run for 378 precinct committee jobs up for grabs in the March primary. (A committeeman, though elected, is a party official, not a government official.) Nearly a quarter of the 86 didn’t bother to obtain the minimum 10 signatures on their nominating petitions as required by law. Linda Lundquist, running in Ward 8, Precinct 4, is one who takes the job seriously. “When I went knocking door to door collecting signatures, I met some people who shared with me that they don’t like to get involved in politics,” Lundquist said. “But like it or not, we are all involved in politics. Now, whether we choose to be engaged is another matter entirely. But I think that the more of us who are engaged in our government, the more that our government will reflect all of us. Because when we are engaged and when we are involved, our government and our politics becomes so much richer. And the community is richer because the government truly reflects all of us.” Lundquist is something of an overachiever — she obtained nearly 150 signatures. “Wow. That’s a lot of door knocking,” Crowley said. “That’s remarkable.” Crowley obtained just one signature — his own — on his nominating petition. He and dozens of other precinct committee candidates will be elected in March even though they didn’t collect the 10 voter signatures required by state law. A resident of Crowley’s precinct could have filed paperwork by Dec. 9 to challenge the validity of his petition and knock him off the ballot, but no one did. “The trouble is, we can’t get enough people to run for precinct committeeman,” Crowley said. “I mean, we can’t give these positions away. And we’re giving them away.” The job’s low profile doesn’t help, either. “The precinct committee system is a very arcane system and very few people understand how it works,” said Charles Laskonis, chairman of the Winnebago County Democratic Central Committee. “Sometimes, I guess it’s just the political wonks that consider it cool to run for precinct committeeman, just so they can say that they’re part of the political process.” Rock Valley College trustee Gloria Cudia, a Republican, collected nine signatures on her petition to represent Ward 10, Precinct 2 in Rockford. Rockford Alderman Tuffy Quinonez, D-11, obtained only two signatures on his petition to represent Ward 11, Precinct 1. He could have had three signatures if he had simply put his own John Hancock on the petition, but he didn’t bother. Crowley, Cudia and Quinonez said they simply didn’t have time to obtain 10 signatures while juggling hectic schedules as the Dec. 2 filing deadline approached. Crowley knows the drill better than most. He has served as a Democratic precinct committeeman for decades. He’s running for re-election next year to keep his county auditor job. He’s also seeking a precinct committee post in Harlem Township. Even after appointments, however, most precinct positions remain vacant. “Try finding a Democrat who wants to run for Burritt Township precinct committeeman,” said Laskonis, referring to the sparsely populated township that’s home to far more cornstalks than humans and far more registered Republicans than Democrats. “You can’t even find someone to appoint to that job. Maybe there’s someone. But I haven’t found them.” A good precinct committeeman may be hard to find these days, but there’s really no need to worry, said state Sen. Dave Syverson, R-Rockford. “There’s a lot of people out there who volunteer for campaigns and they basically do the role of the precinct committeeman, but without the official title,” Syverson said. “They get out there and they walk door to door and they’re actively supporting party candidates. They’re doing the same work for individual candidates, just not through the local party infrastructure. So it’s really the role of the political party to encourage and help people understand why it’s important to do this grass-roots kind of work.” Either way, there are plenty of benefits to walking around your block and introducing yourself to your neighbors, Lundquist said. “I feel good about Rockford, in general,” Lundquist said. “There’s so many good things happening in Rockford, really. But in my small neck of the woods, in my precinct, I felt so good after knocking on doors and meeting all these people who are my neighbors. “I wish everyone would do this because everyone would feel better about the state of the world,” she said. “You’d see we’re in much better shape than what is sometimes shown to us.”)

I have just emailed the statement to the administration. It reads as follows: “Although I am aware and respectful of the many dimensions within which a university properly seeks a diverse faculty and student body, I have long been particularly concerned with the lack of intellectual diversity at the law school. A survey of U.S. law professors in general found that white Democratic professors (both male and female), Jewish professors, and nonreligious professors ‘account for most (or all) of the overrepresentation among racial, gender, religious, and ideological groups in law teaching.’ The groups that ‘account for most of the underrepresentation among racial, gender, religious, and ideological groups in law teaching’ are Republicans (both male and female), Protestants, and Catholics. DAILY SIGNAL
— Why Congress Should Reject Amnesty for Illegal Agricultural Workers – Daren Bakst
https://www.dailysignal.com/2019/12/30/why-congress-should-reject-amnesty-for-illegal-agricultural-workers/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The amnesty plan starts by creating something called “certified agricultural worker status.” If you are working in agriculture and want to stay in the U.S., you are much better off if you are illegally in the country, as opposed to the “suckers” who decided to follow the law. This is because the new certified agricultural-worker status is generally only available to illegal agricultural workers. Once illegal agricultural workers secure certified agricultural worker status, they can stay in the country for at least 5-1/2 years and have begun their pathway to citizenship. It’s important to recognize that the amnesty provisions are so extreme that they don’t simply allow these illegal workers to change to H-2A status like legal agricultural workers currently in the country. No, they actually get a lot more than that through this special pathway. Certified agricultural workers can easily renew this special new status on an indefinite basis. They are also eligible to be lawful permanent residents (i.e., get their green cards) in a fairly quick manner.)

My Democrat superiors took adverse actions against me because they knew that I was not “protected.” They knew that overwhelmingly, those who dominated the Illinois Republican Party (IRP) were anti-conservative and favored political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation. I should write a book about those who have dominated the IRP since 1966.)
https://www.natlawreview.com/article/who-must-protect-ukraine-trump-whistleblower
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The ICWPA anti-retaliation law is not limited simply to preventing whistleblowers from being fired. The law defines the types of “adverse action” the President must shield whistleblowers from, including “any change in working conditions.” In the case of the Ukrainian “quid pro quo” whistleblower, the catastrophic impact on the whistleblower’s ability to perform his or her job duties that would be triggered by violating his right to confidentiality is obvious. This would include undermining his or her ability to work oversees, be promoted to a covert agent (if not one already), or effectively interact with employees in the White House. Furthermore, breaching the confidentiality of whistleblowers is well established as an “adverse action” under whistleblower law. Federal courts and administrative agencies as divergent as the SEC and Department of Labor have ruled that revealing the name of a whistleblower is an adverse action. Anyone with experience working with whistleblowers knows that once their identity is revealed, their working conditions will never be the same, and they will have a target on their back for the rest of their careers.)

Those factors, combined with what the county found to be a lower perception of risk around marijuana, helped convince health officials that something needed to be done. “We wanted to get out there that there are consequences to heavy marijuana use and certainly when you get behind the wheel and drive,” Aakko said. Similarly, a recent Gallup-Knight report found that trust in U.S. local media declines for people who perceive a large gap between their political ideology and the perceived ideology of local news organizations. While trust in the media and trust in journalists differ, the two concepts are related enough to suspect a relationship between political polarization and trust in journalists may exist around the world. Political polarization — measured as the extent to which differences of opinions on major political issues in society exist by country-level experts and part of the Varieties of Democracy project — is strongly associated with less trust in journalists. As the graph shows, the more politically polarized a country is, the less trust the public tends to have in journalists.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: The electricity didn’t go out in Kashmir, a disputed region of India, but something almost as vital was turned off over the summer: the internet. In a preemptive move to assert political control, the Indian government shut down internet service, as well as phone service, in the Kashmir region. No email. No Google. No texting. No digital businesses in operation. No news beyond state-sanctioned outlets. It was censorship in extremis, resulting in a loss of freedom. Eventually most mobile phone service was restored, but the World Wide Web has stayed dark for months. “The government’s control over the flow of information has made journalism nearly impossible in Kashmir, and is a humiliation of Kashmiri journalists,” the Telegraph, an Indian daily, reported. Darkness, indeed.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Meanwhile, two Republican candidates will have their names appear on the March 17 primary ballot after the electoral board overruled objections to their nominating petitions. Wheaton Republican Babette Holder Youngberg survived a challenge of her petitions to remain in the county recorder race. Objector Mark Tarnowski of Wheaton said the candidate didn’t start including her maiden name “Holder” until recently. But the electoral board ruled that doesn’t matter. “The candidate has fulfilled one of the two circumstances for the legal use of a double surname: through marriage,” Kaczmarek said. Holder Youngberg will face Ron Almiron of Wheaton in the contest to decide the GOP nominee for the recorder seat held by Republican Fred Bucholz, who is retiring. Democrat Kathleen Carrier of Carol Stream is running unopposed for her party’s nomination. “I’m ecstatic that I get to stay on the ballot,” Holder Youngberg said. “I’m using a birth name and a married name. The public can now look me up by both names.” Almiron, who is an attorney, represented Tarnowski during the hearing. Almiron said afterward that he and his client are yet to decide if they will appeal the ruling. Finally, a Wheaton attorney survived a challenge to stay in the race to replace an ousted DuPage circuit court judge.)

— Projection in Campus and Party Politics – PHILIP CARL SALZMAN
https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/projection-in-campus-and-party-politics/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: It is common to observe projection in campus and party politics, and in human affairs generally. “Projection” is a well-understood psychological mechanism in which a person or collective accuses another of doing what the accuser himself or itself is doing. “Psychological projection is a defense mechanism people subconsciously employ in order to cope with difficult feelings or emotions. Psychological projection involves projecting undesirable feelings or emotions onto someone else, rather than admitting to or dealing with the unwanted feelings.” The classic example of Freudian projection is that of a woman who has been unfaithful to her husband but who accuses her husband of cheating on her. . .Many highly entertaining examples of projection can be seen in recent party politics. Members of the Democrat Party and the mainstream media have accused President Trump being a potential dictator who would not honor an election which he had lost, and who would thus undermine the American electoral democracy. This from a party and media that refused to accept the 2016 election, and set about from the day of the inauguration to overturn the election and cancel the duly-elected president, most recently seen in the House impeachment of the president. Thus, the Democrat Party accuses the Republican president of not respecting the Constitution and election results, at exactly the same time as they reject the 2016 election winner. Leading members of the Democrat Party have accused and continue to accuse President Trump of conspiring with a foreign power to interfere with the 2016 election, and to be similarly interfering with the upcoming 2020 election.)

https://thehill.com/opinion/technology/472200-political-affiliation-the-new-discrimination-our-research-suggests-yes
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The U.S. is experiencing substantial political polarization. Words like “hate” and “loathe” are routinely used to describe opposing party members, to the point that over 60 percent of voters are angry and worried about the direction of the country. Recent events may be a manifestation of this anger. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) was shot because of party membership, and members of “The Squad” among the Democrats in the House routinely receive death threats. Americans don’t believe the situation will improve. Further, political polarization — and violence — is occurring in other countries such as England (Brexit) and France (rioting over fuel taxes and other policies). At the same time, social media screening is increasingly common when hiring, with over half of recruiters reporting that they check social media accounts such as LinkedIn and Facebook, or conduct Google searches. Such platforms make a wide variety of personal information easily accessible to recruiters — including political affiliation. The increasingly partisan landscape paired with information about party affiliation sets the stage for political affiliation to affect hiring.)

Several factors unrelated to the facts are shielding President Trump in ways Nixon would have envied. – Emily Bazelon and Beverly Gage (DIERSEN: I was one an extremely few Republicans working for IRS in its Chicago office during the Nixon impeachment. My Democrat superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were furious. To punish Nixon, they punished the few Republicans in the office. They got rid of the IRS manager that who promoted me in 1971, 1973, and 1974.)

— More Than 1 in 5 U.S. Papers Has Closed. This Is the Result. Readers across the country told us how they were affected by the decline of local news: “Our community does not know itself.” – Lara Takenaga (DIERSEN: Tragically, Wheaton has not had a Wheaton-based newspaper for many decades. What percent of Wheaton’s West District voters know the names of the ten who sought appointment to fill Wheaton’s West District vacancy? What percent know the following about each of the ten candidates: education, work experience, professional certifications and licenses, how long they have lived in Wheaton and its West District, political affiliation, religion, national origin, and if they support or oppose promoting dependency on government, dependency on charity, LGBTQ activity, abortion, mass/illegal immigration, booze, gambling, pot, and other vices, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation for opposing the aforesaid?)

— These Reporters Lost Their Jobs. Here Are the Stories They Couldn’t Tell. Amid a crisis in local news, eight journalists who left newsrooms in 2019 reflect on the stories left in their notebooks. Photographers who also lost their jobs captured them on their former beats. – Sarah Mervosh, Amy Harmon and Nicholas Bogel-Burroughs (DIERSEN: Democrats, Libertarians, Greens, and RINOs do not want me to include links to articles in GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails that oppose promoting dependency on government, dependency on charity, LGBTQ activity, abortion, mass/illegal immigration, booze, gambling, pot, and other vices, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation for opposing the aforesaid.)

RT
— Political affiliation bias is the last type of discrimination society approves of – and study shows we’re embracing it fervently (DIERSEN: If I had been active in Republican politics, GAO would not have hired me in 1980, IRS would not have hired me in 1971, and the Post Office would not have hired me in 1966. Further, because they view me as being much “too conservative” and as someone who they cannot manipulate/dominate, the Republicans who ran Illinois, DuPage County, Milton Township, Wheaton, etc. would never have hired me.)

ROBERT MORRIS
— What to Expect After You Earn Your Bachelor of Accounting (DIERSEN: I worked for IRS 1971-1980 and for GAO 1980-1997. Being a CPA helps you get promoted at IRS and at GAO. In retrospect, with benefit of hindsight, I should have earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at NIU in 1970 instead of management. I did not start taking graduate accounting courses until 1976. I did not pass the CPA examination until 1979. By then, my IRS superiors viewed me as being far “too old.” I did not earn a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul until 1980. I did not pass the Certified Internal Auditor examination until 1981. I did not become a licensed CPA until 1981. By then, my GAO superiors viewed me as being far “too old.”)

— He’s no dream candidate, but Joe Biden may be the best hope to oust Trump – Simon Tisdall (DIERSEN: QUESTION: What demographics do Biden and Trump share? ANSWER: They both are Christian, White, male, older, married, have children, non-poor, non-drinkers, gun owners, draft avoiders, and their ancestors have been in America for a long time. Biden owns a 1967 Corvette that his father gave him as a wedding gift in 1966.)
