http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20160715/news/307159846/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: When Pence left Congress to become Indiana’s governor in early 2013, he and his wife’s net worth, excluding the value of their Indiana home, was less than $300,000. Personal financial matters nearly ended Pence’s political career before it even began. In 1990, while running for Congress, Pence used campaign contributions to pay for personal expenses, including his mortgage, his wife’s car payment, a personal credit card, parking tickets and golf greens fees. As U.S. vice president, Pence would earn more than $230,000 per year.)

ILLINOIS REVIEW
— DEMONTE REPRESENTS ILGOP ON RULES, RESPONDS TO BRADY’S ANTI-TRUMP COMMENTS
http://illinoisreview.typepad.com/illinoisreview/2016/07/demonte-represents-il-gop-on-rules-responds-to-bradys-anti-trump-comments.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: DeMonte’s public support for Trump put her in direct odds with former IL GOP State Chairman Pat Brady, whose anti-Trump rhetoric on a local radio show interview raised hackles earlier this week. Mr. Brady soundly criticized Trump and decided that despite being elected as a convention delegate from the (6)th CD, he would not attend the national meeting. DeMonte didn’t mince words in response to Brady’s. “If Mr. Brady does not intend to vote for Donald Trump or vote Republican this fall, he should leave the party,” DeMonte said. “Yes, he is a former state party chairman, but he left under a cloud. It’s unfortunate that media goes to the disgraced former state  chairman instead of talking to current leadership such as [IL GOP State Chairman] Tim Schneider, [IL RNC Committeeman] Rich Porter or myself.” DeMonte said that if Brady was still Illinois’ RNC Committeeman, he would be ejected from his position for not supporting the party’s chosen nominee. Several of Illinois’ top elected Republicans – including Governor Bruce Rauner, U.S. Senator Mark Kirk, and several of the GOP congressional delegation – are boycotting the Republican National Convention next week in Cleveland.)
