— Elite K-8 school teaches children about ‘white privilege’ (DIERSEN: What about “education privilege?” Neither of my outstanding parents attended college.  My father was the first of his ancestors to earn a high school diploma.  My mother never attended high school.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE:  An elite New York City K-8 school is instituting a controversial new diversity program that segregates students based on race. Bank Street School for Children on the Upper West Side has introduced the new “Racial Justice and Advocacy” curriculum, which separates the school’s 430 students into an “advocacy group” for white students and the “kids of color affinity group.”  According to The New York Post, white students are taught to increase their “awareness of the prevalence of whiteness and privilege,” challenge “notions of colorblindness (and) assumptions of ‘normal,’ ‘good,’ and ‘American'” and “understand and own European ancestry and see the tie to privilege.”)
