DUPAGE POLICY JOURNAL
— DuPage voter registrations don’t add up, group alleges – Caitlin Nordahl  (DIERSEN: Are you a DuPage County Republican Precinct Committeeman like I have been since 1999?  If so, how much deadwood is on the election rolls in your precinct?)
http://dupagepolicyjournal.com/stories/511107328-dupage-voter-registrations-don-t-add-up-group-alleges
(FROM THE ARTICLE: DuPage County’s voter registration logs are incorrect and possibly illegal, a transparency organization alleged in a letter it sent to the state recently. The county is one of 24 in Illinois that has more registered voters than voting-age residents, Judicial Watch said, and if the problem isn’t fixed within 90 days, a lawsuit could follow. “Dirty election rolls can mean dirty elections,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.  “These 11 states face possible Judicial Watch lawsuits unless they follow the law and take reasonable steps to clean up their voting rolls of dead, moved, and non-citizen voters.” Judicial Watch compared data from the Election Assistance Commission and the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey. It accused Illinois with not fulfilling requirements under the National Voter Registration and Help America Vote acts that charge states with ensuring voter rolls are up to date. States must have a program in place to remove registered voters who have died, moved or been convicted of a crime that removes their right to vote. Further, they must ensure that no non-citizens are registered to vote.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: SPANISH FORK, Utah – A couple has been arrested after allegedly telling police they allow their 14-year-old son to smoke a joint or two of marijuana at night if he goes to class and makes good grades. The parents were arrested Tuesday after police served a search warrant at the home. Officers had been investigating drug activity at the house for months. Reports say the parents were booked into Utah County Jail while police investigate possible felony child endangerment and misdemeanor charges of contributing to delinquency of a minor, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession. Police say the parents believe the marijuana helped their son concentrate in school.)
