August 3 Morning Edition

GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— Why hasn’t the Daily Herald reported on a) the sale of pot in Wheaton, b) the Wheaton West District City Council vacancy, and c) the Roosevelt Road Corridor Study since May 30, 2019? FIRST: At its August 5, 2019 meeting, Wheaton’s City Council is scheduled a) to vote on “a resolution and draft ordinance relating to a text amendment to zoning ordinance prohibiting cannabis business establishments in any zoning district” and b) to set “August 26 as the Public Hearing date.” (https://www.wheaton.il.us/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/_08052019-1220 and https://www.wheaton.il.us/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Item/4222?fileID=6785 If you are a Wheaton resident, please join me in urging the Wheaton City Council to vote yes on the resolution and ordinance to ban the sale of pot in Wheaton. SECOND: 5:00 PM, Tuesday, August 6, 2019, is the filing deadline for applications to be appointed to fill Wheaton’s West District City Council vacancy. Sadly, Wheaton’s policy is to not disclose the names of the applicants or information about them, but instead, just the number of applications received. Please see the articles at the end of this email. So far, Wheaton has received 30 requests for applications, 4 complete applications, and 1 incomplete application. So far, to my knowledge, none of the applicants has publicly announced that they have filed. Because of that, I will be filing. In my opinion, not only Wheaton’s West District residents, but all of Wheaton’s residents should know who the applicants are before the filing deadline. If you become aware of someone who has filed or will file, please ask him/her to issue a press release and to include diersen@aol.com in the press release list. THIRD: During its upcoming Planning Session on August 12th, the Wheaton City Council will discuss the Roosevelt Road Corridor Study with its consultant, present questions for further exploration, and receive public comment from the audience to aid in planning. (https://www.wheaton.il.us/930/Roosevelt-Road). The study area includes the south side of Roosevelt Road between Carlton Avenue and Main Street which is in my precinct and the south side of Roosevelt Road between Carlton Avenue and Warrenville Road which is in my precinct and in Wheaton’s West District. Recently, members of the “Concerned Citizens – Rezoning Roosevelt Road” Facebook group posted yard signs (21 at last count) at homes on Arbor Avenue, Golf Lane, Park Avenue, and Warrenville Road in my precinct that say “PRESERVE NEIGHBORHOODS RETHINK REZONING.” – Dave Diersen)

How much reparations do the Democrats in your neighborhood, in your precinct, in your municipality, in your township/ward, in your county, and in Illinois want you to pay? (DIERSEN HEADLINE: Well, remember Brian Karem? He’s the White House Correspondent for Playboy. He’s also a CNN contributor. Former Special Assistant to the President and current Salem Radio Host Dr. Sebastian Gorka confronted him at a presser in the Rose Garden. He’s been called one of the biggest pigs of the press corps, known for his combative style with the press secretaries of the Trump White House. He likened Trump voters to the Nazi Party. He said that the attendees of the White House’s social media summit were willing participants of demonic possession. Gorka said that he called the president a “f**king idiot” when he refused to answer the questions being hurled at him. So, he just got his press pass suspended for thirty days, which Playboys vows to fight (via Washington Examiner):)
