GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— The four Illinois Republican Party (IRP) Chairman finalists are Scott Gryder, Steve Sauerberg, Mark Shaw, and Don Tracy. IRP Vice-Chair Charlene Foss-Eggemann will chair the interviews and the State Central Committee’s (SCC) deliberations. The meeting is scheduled to be in-person, weather permitting, but only one representative from each of the 18 congressional districts, the IRP National Committeeman Richard Porter, IRP National Committeewoman Demetra DeMonte, IRP Executive Director Derek Murphy and one candidate at a time will be allowed in the room due to COVID-19 restrictions of meetings of 25 people or less. Those who want to have input on the selection should contact their representative on the IRP SCC. – Dave Diersen

CHICAGO TRIBUNE
— President Biden’s age shouldn’t matter. But it does, at least for me. – JERRY DAVICH
(DIERSEN: How old are you? I am 72. All my critics/opponents, all their operatives and all their dupes promote age discrimination. In my defense, I stress that no health problem or any other kind of problem has stopped me from putting together and sending out a GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletter each and every morning since 2004 and each and every evening since 2015. That is 7,718 newsletters. Those newsletters have included links to more than 390,590 articles and information on many upcoming events.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: I’ve learned that ageism and age stereotyping are very real prejudices in our society. I’m guilty of both on occasion, including my feelings about President Joe Biden. His age, 78, was one of my biggest concerns toward his candidacy for president. It had nothing to do with his physical body or his determination to serve in office, only his mind. As he begins serving his four-year term, will he have the razor-sharp mental acuity needed for such a challenging job position, long day after long day?)

— Do You Have A Plan for Your Life? – Tim Hetzner
(DIERSEN: What plans have you had? My plan for a Post Office career ended in 1969 when my Democrat Post Office superiors succeeded in forcing me to resign. My plan for a career in the automotive industry ended in 1971 when Oldsmobile withdrew a job offer that I had accepted saying that Oldsmobile had just agreed to stop hiring Whites to settle an EEOC complaint. My plan for an IRS career ended in 1974 when my Democrat IRS superiors disallowed my partial day per diem claims and it further ended in 1975 when they got rid of my mentor, in 1978 when they disallowed my education deductions, and when they made it clear that they would never promote me to GS-13. My plan for a GAO career ended in 1980 when my Democrat GAO superiors forced me to take a $20,361 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO and it further ended when they kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, in 1987 when they got rid of my mentor and made it clear that they would never promote me to GS-14, when they gave me unfair performance expectations and appraisals and always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, and when they forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old.)

Sarna, a scholar of anti-Semitism at Brandeis University. “The novel depicts the violent overthrow of the government of the United States, nuclear conflagration, race war and the ultimate extermination of nonwhites and ‘undesirable racial elements among the remaining White population,’” he explains. (FROM THE ARTICLE: On the one hand are those who were horrified by the Jan. 6 attack and the no-holds-barred efforts to overturn Trump’s loss in the two months after the election. On the other are staunch Trump supporters who believe local GOP officials didn’t do enough to support the president’s fight. The most outspoken of those expressing these opposite views say they can no longer support the Republican Party as it exists today. As a result, the Lancaster County GOP saw hundreds of its registered voters leave the party in the first half of January. In the week of the Jan. 6 attack, 249 Lancaster County Republicans switched their registration to other parties. Of those, 146 became Democrats. These party switches continued into the following week: From Jan. 11 to Jan. 18, 87 Lancaster County Republicans switched their registration to other parties, with 76 becoming Democrats, according to county Pennsylvania Department of State data. For all of 2020, 858 GOP voters in the county switched to other parties, meaning that in just the first two week of 2021 the party lost nearly 40% of the number of voters it lost to other parties in the entire preceding year. Although the party’s margin has narrowed over the past decade, Republicans still make up a slim majority of the county’s registered voters, currently 51.4%, giving the party a firm grasp on elected offices up and down the ballot outside Lancaster city and its suburbs, blue dots on the county’s otherwise dark red political terrain.)
