(FROM THE ARTICLE: After being canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Wheaton’s Fourth of July celebration will return in 2021, albeit with scaled-back festivities. A fireworks display is set for July 3 at Graf Park, 1855 Manchester Rd. at dusk. The park district website notes that there will be no carnival rides, DJ music or other onsite activities. Residents are also advised to leave their pets at home due to the loud sounds of fireworks and potentially big crowds of people in attendance. Wheaton’s Fourth of July Parade is slated for July 4, though details about the parade time and route are still pending. No candy or other items will be passed out during the parade and those in attendance will be required to wear face masks if they are not from the same household and cannot maintain six feet of social distance. The Wheaton Park District did not immediately respond to Patch’s request for more information Wednesday morning.)
