July 25 Evening Edition

GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— The DuPage County Election Commission (DCEC) will vote at its meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 3:00 P.M., in Room 3-500A, 421 North County Farm Road in Wheaton to approve proposed precinct modifications. If approved, a) 61 new precincts will be added for a total of 930 precincts, b) 49,377 (7.89%) of the county’s 626,174 voters will be affected by the modifications, and c) less than 5% will vote in a new polling place.  For additional information, visit:
http://www.dupageco.org/default.aspx. I will attend the meeting, and like I did 2 years ago, I will ask that the DCEC directly notify elected Precinct Committeemen in a tamely manner of proposed modifications a) to their precincts and b) to their precinct’s polling place. – Dave Diersen

What plan did you have when you graduated from high school? I had an acceptance letter from UIC when I graduated from Crete-Monee High School in 1966. However, many, if not most, if not virtually everyone viewed me as not being “college material.” Neither of my parents had attended college. My father was the first of his ancestors to earn a high school diploma. My mother never attended high school. I spent my junior and senior years and the summer in between washing dishes for the minimum wage in the basement of the S.S. Kresges in Chicago Heights.)
