Pritchett and  Ed Tiryakian  (DIERSEN: From what I see, ever-increasingly, CEOs are anti-Trump, anti-Protestant, anti-conservative, anti-Republican, anti-American, anti-White, anti-male, anti-older people, anti-rich people, anti-gun owners, anti-German Americans, anti-draft avoiders (except Bill Clinton), and/or anti-those whose ancestors have been in America longer than their ancestors.)

— China Tech Workers Wanted: Women Need Not Apply  Many job ads specify that women aren’t wanted for certain Chinese tech jobs – Li Yuan  (DIERSEN: Because all the jobs that I had were so BAD, it was extremely difficult for my superiors to hire and to retain those who were Democrat, minority, female, younger, and/or veteran. I did yard work and delivered newspapers 1962-1964; washed dishes 1964-1966; cleaned golf shoes, chipped slag, and pumped gasoline in 1966; delivered mail 1966-1969; worked on an automobile assemble line and as a security guard in 1970; sold tires, automotive services, and major appliances 1970-1971; pumped gasoline 1971-1972; collected delinquent taxes 1971-1980; and audited federal agencies 1980-1997.)

— Why Not Put Truth on a Pedestal?  Richmond’s mayor has a solution for Confederate monuments: Leave them up but provide context. – Dave Shiflett (DIERSEN: Anti-Trumps hint/imply/argue/shout that if your ancestors immigrated to America while slavery was legal in any part of America, your ancestors, your great grandparents, your grandparents, your parents, you, your children, your grandchildren, and your great grandchildren ARE RACISTS. While all my ancestors immigrated during the 1840s and 1850s, they came to and stayed in northeast Illinois.)

— Refighting the Civil War  Once was enough, as Robert E. Lee understood. – Editorial  (DIERSEN: Constructively, individuals, organizations, companies, governments, and countries that are members of Group A have declared war on members of Group B.  Members of Group A are anti-Trump, anti-Protestant, anti-conservative, anti-Republican, anti-American, anti-White, anti-male, anti-older people, anti-rich people, anti-gun owners, anti-German Americans, anti-draft avoiders (except Bill Clinton), and/or anti-those whose ancestors have been in America longer than their ancestors and members of Group B are Trump supporters, Protestant, conservative, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owners, German Americans, draft avoiders (except Bill Clinton), and/or those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time.)

— The ‘Resistance’ Goes Lower  Green groups are attacking staffers merely for working in Trump’s government. – Kimberley A. Strassel  (DIERSEN: Democrats would say that while I worked for the federal government for almost 30 years 1966-1969 and 1971-1997, I was a member of the “Resistance” because I was a Republican, because I opposed patronage, because I opposed political affiliation discrimination, because I opposed reverse discrimination, because I opposed age discrimination, and because in 1988 when I was 40 years old, I became an active member of a class action lawsuit that charged the federal government with reverse discrimination, age discrimination, and retaliation.)

GOVERNING
— These Governors Are Rich, But Are They Effective?  The wealthy are increasingly seeking their state’s highest office. Winning has been the easy part. – LOUIS JACOBSON
http://www.governing.com/topics/politics/gov-rich-governors-effectiveness.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: In 2014, Rauner, whose money came from private equity, used his fortune to defeat incumbent Illinois Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn. In the primary, Rauner spent $16 million and won by three percentage points in a four-way race. In the general election, he spent $54 million. “We’ve never had a candidate for governor in my 40 years watching politics who even came close to having Rauner’s financial resources,” says Bernard Schoenburg, a political columnist at The State Journal-Register in Springfield, Ill. “It enabled him to get his message across on lots of platforms.” . . . The poster child for difficult governorships, however, has been Rauner’s. His ongoing budget war with the Democratic-controlled legislature has drawn threats of junk bond status from credit ratings agencies and loss of university accreditation following two years of steep cuts and unpaid bills. “Rather than recognize that he had to deal with strong pro-labor Democratic legislative majorities in a blue state,” says Kent Redfield, a University of Illinois-Springfield political scientist, “he pushed a strong anti-union, right-to-work agenda from the beginning that unified all parts of labor against him.” And those weren’t the only enemies Rauner made, Redfield says: The governor “tried to hold the budget hostage to leverage his ‘Turnaround Agenda,’ which initially included tort reform and cuts in social services spending to health facilities in addition to anti-collective bargaining, worker’s comp reform and pension reform measures. This unified the major funders of the Democratic Party against him — labor, the trial lawyers, and the hospitals and nursing homes.” . . . In Illinois, at least two wealthy Democratic candidates are expected to run: J.B. Pritzker and Chris Kennedy. Given Rauner’s willingness to spend from his own pocketbook, a credible Democratic candidate who’s wealthy would have a huge leg up. “People think the race could cost each side a far-unprecedented $150 million,” Schoenburg says.)
