CHICAGO TRIBUNE
— Voters deserve to know when influencers are being paid to sell candidates. DD: I am a conservative Republican. All the money that I spend putting my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters together and sending them out comes from my Civil Service Retirement System pension, my Social Security, and my retirement savings. My direct competitors continue to be furious that I have the money, time, motivation, ability, and experience to put my newsletters together and to send them out every day without a paywall, without any advertising, and without any donation requests. According to my critics/opponents, “You can’t tell Diersen what to do.” Of course, I take that as a badge of honor. What do you say to my direct competitors who blame me and who blame my newsletters for the defeats that Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct have suffered since 2000?
