DAILY HERALD
— FRONT PAGE TOP OF FOLD: How Democrats took 6 seats in Naperville Township – Marie Wilson (DIERSEN: What percent of those who voted for Democrats in the April 4, 2017 election were anti-Trumps who expressed their hatred of Trump by voting against all the Republicans on the ballot?  What percent of registered Republicans who did not vote in the April 4, 2017 election were anti-Trumps who expressed their hatred of Trump by not voting for Republicans on the ballot?  In the November 4, 2016 election in my precinct, 187 registered Republicans voted, but Trump got only 137 votes, that is, at least 50 registered Republicans voted, but did not vote for Trump.)

SPRINGFIELD STARTE JOURNAL REGISTER
— Will ‘Real GOP of Illinois’ stand up? Unlikely – Bernard Schoenburg  (DIERSEN: According to this article, the anonymous website calls itself a “free speech zone” and says “Republicans are afraid to criticize (Rauner) because of the money he can spend attacking people.”  My critics/opponents, their operatives, their dupes read all my GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails very closely.  They look for anything in the emails that they can use against me.  It is called opposition research.  They immediately bring to the attention of the following people anything in the emails that is critical of them: Congressmen Bost, Davis, Hultgren, Kinzinger, LaHood, Roskam, Shimkus; Governor Rauner; Lt. Governor Sanguinetti; Radogno, Connelly, Nybo, and the rest of the Republican State Senators; Durkin, Ives, Breen, and the rest of the Republican State Representatives; DuPage County elected officials including Berlin, Kachiroubas, Grogan, Cronin, Zaruba, Hinds, Jorgensen, Bucholz, Henry, Ruscitti, Cantore, Larsen, Zay, Wiley, Eckhoff, Grant, Elliott, Murphy, and Whelan; Township elected officials including Heidorn, Hinkle, LeVan, Muehlfelt, Falbo, Nathwani, Molitor, and Keller; Wheaton elected officials including Gresk, Suess, Fitch, Scalzo, Rutledge, and Saline; Illinois Republican Party leaders including Schneider, DeMonte, Porter, Colgan, Dorgan, Higgins, Claar, and Bond; DuPage County Republican Party leaders including Krajewski, Hinds, Kachiroubas, Murphy, Keller, Minor, Marchese, Schultz, Czernek, Fisher, Cuzzone, Durante, Grogan; and Milton Township Republican leaders Keller, LeVan, Austin, and Nathwani.  My critic/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes hint/imply/argue/shout that if I was a “good Republican,” I would not include in GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails links to any articles that are critical of the aforesaid people; that if I was a “good Republican,” I would only include links in GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails that glorify and praise the aforesaid people.)
http://www.sj-r.com/opinion/20170408/bernard-schoenburg-will-real-gop-of-illinois-stand-up-unlikely
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A mystery website, realgopillinois.com, is billing itself as “the official news site for real Republicans.” But welcome to campaign season, where things are not always as they seem. The site is professional-looking, with items presented as news stories and a solicitation for tips. AARON DeGROOT, a spokesman for the state GOP, said the site has no connection to the party and he has “no idea who these folks are.” Its creators aren’t making it easy to find out, either. A computer expert at my newspaper tells me there’s no easy way to track the origin of the site because its domain was registered anonymously. An address listed at the bottom of the group’s email is in Champaign, but turned out to be a UPS store. An employee there said they do rent mailboxes. The group name doesn’t turn up in the Illinois State Board of Elections, but it appears to have started a Facebook page recently. I emailed to find out more. The response came with no name attached. “We are just a group of everyday citizens who are upset with the Democrat Party and how they’ve ruined this state,” the response stated. “We are also upset with the Illinois GOP and Gov. (BRUCE) RAUNER. We all voted for Bruce Rauner in 2014 even though some of us were very unsure about him because of his history. Two years in, we’re disappointed in Gov. Rauner and the Illinois GOP. … With the debt mounting, taxpayers will probably be on the hook for even more and the politicians won’t care. … Gov. Rauner spends millions making sure his own people win GOP primaries and destroying other Republican candidates just because he can. Isn’t that what (House Speaker MICHAEL) MADIGAN does?”  The response also called the website a “free speech zone” and said “Republicans are afraid to criticize (Rauner) because of the money he can spend attacking people. Illinois won’t survive Mike Madigan or Bruce Rauner if we don’t stand up and speak out (about) what both political parties and their henchmen are doing now.” The site doesn’t just go after Rauner — it also has taken a swipe at CORY JOBE, the state tourism director, for contributing $1,000 to new Springfield City Council member KRISTIN DiCENSO, a Democrat, and even at the late JUDY BAAR TOPINKA, “who routinely headlined gay marriage rallies with the low-life likes of Democrats Sen. DICK DURBIN, Attorney General LISA MADIGAN, and former Gov. PAT QUINN.” STEVE BROWN, spokesman for Mike Madigan, who is also chairman of the Democratic Party of Illinois, said Friday he had never heard of the site. “You’re the first to mention it,” he said.)

On September 16, 1996, I presented oral arguments to Chief Judge Posner and to Circuit Court Judges Coffey and Kanne.  On March 31, 1997, the Appellate Court agreed with me and ruled that DOT’s exemption for cars over 10 years old was invalid.)
