— OUTSTANDING: Judge freezes Illinois law targeting anti-abortion pregnancy centers – Jon Asplund
https://www.chicagobusiness.com/health-care/illinois-law-targeting-anti-abortion-pregnancy-center-halted
(FROM THE ARTICLE: “Free speech won today in the Land of Lincoln — pro-life advocates across Illinois can breathe a sigh of relief they won’t be pursued for ‘misinformation’ by Attorney General Kwame Raoul,” Peter Breen, executive vice president and head of litigation for the Thomas More Society, said in the statement. “Across the nation, pregnancy help ministries are being discriminated against by laws that target their life-affirming work,” Breen said. “The injunction granted today sends a strong, clear message to the country that the First Amendment protects pro-life speech.”)
— Democrats ask “Are taxpayers getting their money’s worth on pensions?” Since 1966, when I was 18 years old, when I started earning credits toward a Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) pension, my critics/opponents have been furious. They got even more furious in 1997, when I was 49 years old, and starting getting a CSRS pension, currently $63,144/year. In my defense, I paid in 7% of my GAO salary 1980-1997, of my IRS salary 1971-1980, and of my Post Office salary 1966-1969. In my defense, my CSRS pension would be much more if my Democrat superiors had not wasted my career and forced me to retire 6 years early. I my defense, a) I earned job-related degrees in 1970, 1976, 1980, and 1997, b) I earned job-related professional certifications in 1979, 1981, 1990, 1994, 1996, and 1997, and c) I earned a job-related professional license in 1981.

WJPF
— Democrats say “INTERVIEW WITH TONY MCCOMBIE.” Democrats want illegals because illegals vote for Democrats. RINOs want illegals because RINOs want cheap labor. Democrats and RINOs ever-increasingly hint/imply/argue/shout that they want illegals because they want cheap labor and bad jobs are going unfilled. Illegal immigration drives down salaries and especially for bad jobs. My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have always hinted/implied/argued/shouted that I have always been overpaid because the jobs I took were paid more because they were bad jobs and therefore, more had to be paid to fill them. I worked for GAO as an Analyst 1980-1997, for IRS as a Revenue Officer 1971-1980, for Firestone Stores as a gasoline-pumper 1971-1972, for Firestone Stores as a Retail Sales Manager 1970-1971, for the Post Office as a carrier/clerk 1966-1969, and for SS Kresge as a dish-washer 1964-1966.
https://www.wjpf.com/episode/newsradio-wjpf-interview-with-tony-mccombie-august-2-2023/
(Democrats say: McCombie adds context: House Republican Leader Tony McCombie put perspective on a new law that allows DACA residents to become police officers. At a time when police departments are having a hard time recruiting officers, McCombie said the new law allows “DACA folks who were born here, who have been here for 30 years… who have the legal ability to purchase and possess a firearm” to apply to become police officers. “So, these folks are not the folks that are coming here illegally,” she told Tom Miller on WJPF, adding that’s why “every single Republican” voted for the bill.
