(FROM THE ARTICLE: Developers are getting closer to getting a green light from village board members to build a “luxury” car condominium complex with retail and clubhouse space in Gilberts. BeSpoke Motor Union describes the condos as a “country club for car enthusiasts” that provide a space for people to store luxury cars. The plan calls for 156 “highly customizable” units in 10 two-story buildings. Car condos are a relatively new fad popping up in the area, with other developers working on similar facilities in Crystal Lake, Barrington and South Barrington. Trailblazers Iron Gate Motor Condos have been operating in Naperville since 2015. The Crystal Lake development called Redline Motor Condos, owned by Mayor Haig Haleblian, was approved by the city council in August. — Systemic racism continues to bring down Black people’s quality of life (COMMENT: My critics/opponents have always hinted/implied/argued/shouted at all the minorities and women around me that I owe all my successes in life to my benefitting from discrimination against minorities and women. They hint/imply/argue/shout that all the jobs that I got should have been given to minorities and women. I did yard work 1962-1964, delivered newspapers 1962-1966, washed dishes 1964-1966, cleaned golf shoes, chipped slag, and pumped gasoline in 1966, delivered mail 1966-1969, worked on an automobile assembly line in 1970, sold tires, automotive services, and major appliances 1970-1971, pumped gasoline 1971-1972, collected delinquent taxes 1971-1980, and audited federal agencies 1980-1997. Those jobs enabled me to earn a bachelor’s degree in 1970, master’s degrees in 1976, 1980, and 1997, professional certifications in 1979, 1981, 1990, 1994, 1996, and 1997, and a professional license in 1981. Those jobs enabled me to buy new cars in 1966, 1967, 1968, 1971, 1973, 1978, etc. Those jobs enabled me to buy real estate in 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978, and 1984. Those jobs enabled me to get married in 1978.)
