MCHENRY COUNTY BLOG
— IL-16: Adam Kinzinger’s Country First Set to Release New Video as Former President Trump Makes First Public Appearance at CPAC Today – John Lopez
(DIERSEN: Expect that ever-increasingly, hate-filled Trump-hating Trump-haters will promote hatred against me and against my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters. Previously, these haters promoted hatred against TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois and against the Illinois Center Right Coalition.)
http://mchenrycountyblog.com/2021/02/28/kinzinger022821/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: I’m excited to report our continued momentum and progress as more and more people learn about Country First and decide to join our movement. I’m also inspired by the huge number of unsolicited donations we’ve received from people across the political spectrum who want to see truth, courage, sanity, and decency return to our politics. It’s all incredibly encouraging, and I hope you are beginning to feel it, too. However, I know many are anxious about Donald Trump’s first big speech this Sunday. Many expect him to declare his intention to run for president again in 2024. Whether he says that or not, we know what else to expect: More lies about stolen elections, more vitriol for anyone who dares to criticize him, more self-aggrandizement, and more fear and conspiracy peddling. It will be more of the same. The great news is that Country First is ready to offer an alternate narrative: A hopeful, optimistic view of our future, where the politics of fear are rejected and reasonable people of goodwill can come together to actually solve problems. We know in our bones that America is better than this — and so it will be. On Sunday, we’ll be releasing a new video and doing multiple national interviews to draw a stark contrast between the Trump First and Country First visions for America. And once the video is out, I hope you’ll help me spread our positive message far and wide! In the meantime, I’m happy to announce that we’ve released the first episode of our podcast, which is called Country First Conversations. It will soon be available wherever you like to get your podcasts, but for now you can listen to it at our website or on Spotify. This week’s guest is Congressman Peter Meijer of Michigan [MI-03], who joined me in voting for impeachment. He’s a fellow veteran, and an all-around great guy, so I hope you’ll check it out. As a side note, we did broadcast our conversation live, in real-time via the Clubhouse Drop-In Audio App, where people who join the “room” can participate and ask questions. If that sounds interesting to you, check out the app and feel free to add me at @RepKinzinger so you can be part of the live conversation in the future. Finally, I want you to know we are pursuing every avenue and alliance that we believe will help spread the word about this movement and make a difference for our nation’s future. But our most powerful, potent resource will always be YOU. Please continue to talk to your family and friends, and make sure they know that ALL are welcome to take up this banner. It will require more than Republicans, Independents, or Democrats alone to heal this country — it will take good, reasonable people working together. And THAT, my friend, is why Country First already gives me so much hope. Thanks for reading this far, and stay tuned for Sunday. I’ll be sharing our new video with you, and can’t wait to hear what you think.)

They loathe Fox News but assume that the mainstream media are basically on their side, the same way Fox commentators are on Trump’s, laying the groundwork for him to start his second coming at CPAC this weekend. For the left, over the past four years, a reporter has been an ally and a superhero comrade in the epic mission of destroying Donald Trump. Liberals lionized any cable hosts and runaway Republicans who blasted Trump, even if they had previously been on the G.O.P. payroll, selling the Iraq war and Sarah Palin. Let’s be honest. It’s a lot more pleasant to be hailed by the left than demonized, as you are during periods when you’re holding a Democratic president to account, because the left can be just as nasty as the right.)

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/02/desperate_progressives_try_to_find_nazi_symbol_on_the_cpac_stage.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Will progressives ever stop comparing conservatives to Nazis? That’s a question I’ve been asking myself for some time and I wouldn’t be surprised if other conservatives have wondered the same thing. In a sense, progressives and the liberal media seem hopelessly desperate to form some sort of pseudo-link between the Nazis and modern American conservatives. Indeed, it’s been a fruitless, pointless goal of theirs for many years, much to no avail. . .While I don’t like being compared to the Nazis, the comparison isn’t even an accurate one given the values and beliefs I and other conservatives hold. Indeed, I’d argue that conservatives are the polar opposite of the Nazis, officially known as the ‘National Socialist German Workers’ Party’. Did you catch that? Progressives don’t seem to like bringing up the Nazis’ full party name and they rarely do so. To the dismay of leftists, yes, the Nazis were indeed socialists. No, they weren’t “far-right” as many have claimed and I’d argue that fascism, socialism and communism are all on the very far-left end of the political spectrum. Compare the hateful, totalitarian and genocidal rhetoric of the Nazis to the values held by conservatives. Conservatives value tradition, religion, practicality, commonsense, limited government, a lasting preservation of our Constitutional rights and an emphasis on individuality and liberty. That hardly mirrors the conformist, hateful and dictatorial views of the Nazis or any other left-wing factions. The far-left (Nazis included) has totalitarianism embedded in its very being. In contrast, conservatives are some of the least totalitarian people you’ll meet. So how should we remedy this persistent problem of progressives comparing us to Nazis? Well, we can certainly argue with facts and logic but some will pointlessly keep trying to compare us to Nazis or other historically-evil groups. Their minds are made up so the best thing we can do is roll our eyes, have a good laugh and provide brief rebuttals if we deem it necessary. To conclude, no, conservatives aren’t Nazis or even remotely similar to Nazis. ANTIFA on the other hand…Well, that’s a different story.)

POLITICO
— When the Left Attacked the Capitol Fifty years ago, extremists bombed the seat of American democracy to end a war and start a revolution. It did neither, but it may have helped bring down a president. – LAWRENCE ROBERTS
(DIERSEN: What did you do in 1971? I lived with my mother and brother in Crete. My father had died suddenly in October of 1969. I started the year working as the Retail Sales Manager for the Firestone Store in Chicago Heights, taking a graduate business management course at UIC, and awaiting a decision on my application for a financial hardship draft deferment. That application was approved, and because of my draft lottery number, I was no longer subject to the draft. I believe that prompted Oldsmobile to offer me a job which I accepted. But when I told my Firestone boss, he immediately and rudely fired me. But then, Oldsmobile withdrew its job offer saying that it had just agreed to stop hiring Whites to settle an EEOC complaint. That directly resulted in my accepting a job offer from IRS to be a GS-7 (currently $48,445/year) Revenue Officer in Chicago. But then, my Firestone boss offered me a part-time job pumping gasoline which I accepted. Before I started working for IRS and working part-time for Firestone, I went on a spring break vacation in the Bahamas. My 1969 Dodge Charger SE was stolen in Chicago in August. That directly resulted in my buying a new 1972 Corvette and a 1962 Chevy Bel Air for everyday use. At the end of the year, IRS granted my request to be assigned to its Harvey office.)
