— As boomers retire, knowledge transfer is key – Rex Huppke  (DIERSEN: Who wastes/wasted your knowledge?  My Democrat GAO superiors wasted the knowledge that I gained a) earning a job-related bachelor’s degree from NIU in 1970, b) earning a job-related masters degree from Loyola in 1976, passing the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, working for IRS 1971-1980, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 level (currently $77,899-$88,286), earning a job related master’s degree from DePaul in 1980, passing the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981, earning a job-related master’s degree from IIT in 1997, working for GAO at the GS-9 Step 10 – GS-12 Step 5 level (currently $69,827-$88,286) 1980-1986, working for GAO at the GS-13 level (currently $92,632-$120,427) 1986-1997, and serving on the Association of Government Accountants 1983-1996.  My Democrat GAO superiors would not have wasted the aforesaid knowledge, wasted my GAO career, or forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old if I had been a Democrat, a minority, a female, or a veteran.  Further, since 1997, Democrat plant, Libertarian plant, Green plant, and RINO activists, candidates, elected officials, party leaders, major donors, political consultants, etc. in Wheaton, in Glen Ellyn, in Milton Township, in DuPage County, and in Illinois have wasted the aforesaid knowledge and all the knowledge that I have gained serving as your GOPUSA Illinois Editor since 2000, serving as the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman 2005-2012, etc.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: As members of the baby-boom generation continue to selfishly retire, waltzing off to engage in ridiculous activities like “enjoying life” and “relaxing,” the rest of us are left with the drudgery of work and, in many cases, a notable lack of institutional knowledge. According to the Pew Research Center, 10,000 baby boomers are reaching age 65 each day. While it’s been on the horizon for years, the reality of the boomer brain drain is still catching companies off guard, making “knowledge transfer” the buzzword du jour. Before veteran workers depart, it’s crucial they pass along not just a rough outline of how they do their jobs or a filing cabinet stuffed with old manuals and reports but some of the deeper knowledge gained from years of experience. It’s something Dorothy Leonard, a professor of business administration at Harvard Business School and co-founder of the consulting firm Leonard-Barton Group, calls “tacit knowledge.”)

http://www.news-gazette.com/news/local/2016-07-31/tom-kacich-hillary-made-news-even-when-she-was-22.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: By the time she was 22 years old Hillary Rodham had been elected student body president at Wellesley College, had given the first-ever student commencement speech at the Massachusetts college that is still exclusively for women, had been featured in an issue of Life magazine, had been accused on the front page of the Boston Globe of upstaging a U.S. senator and had been denounced in an editorial by her hometown newspaper, the Chicago Tribune. Even 900 miles away at the University of Illinois, Rodham was mentioned by Illinois Gov. Richard Ogilvie in a commencement address as representative of the student idealism of that time. All of that attention 47 or more years ago undoubtedly prepared Rodham — the future Hillary Clinton — for a lifetime in the public eye, including a historic run for president. The one-time “Goldwater Girl” from Park Ridge shed her conservative values while at Wellesley and within four years had moved 180 degrees politically, backing anti-war Democrat Sen. Eugene McCarthy for president in 1968. She became a student leader, ran for president of the student government and on May 31, 1969, gave the commencement speech that attracted so much attention. Ruth Adams, the president of Wellesley, introduced Rodham as “cheerful, good humored, good company and a good friend to all of us.” In her prepared remarks Rodham talked mostly of her classes’ time at Wellesley, of protests and demonstrations, and shared power and responsibility, and of the value of education.)

HERALD & REVIEW
— Legislators: Big pay for a part-time job – Editorial  (DIERSEN: Who hints/implies/argues/shouts that you are/were overpaid?  The following hint/imply/argue/shout that the federal government overpaid me: those who are anti-Protestant, anti-conservative, anti-Republican, anti-American, anti-White, anti-male, anti-older people, anti-rich people, anti-gun owners, and/or anti-those whose ancestors have been in America longer than their ancestors. Many millions have not and will not seek a job with the federal government a) because the pay and benefits are terrible, b) because the advancement opportunities are terrible, c) because they lack required education, work experience, professional certifications, and/or professional licenses, d) because they cannot pass a background investigation, e) because they cannot pass a physical examination, f) because they cannot take the demonization, denigration, and condemnation that comes with being a federal employee or federal retiree, and/or g) because they are Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran and they know that the federal government discriminates against its employees who are Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Most folks would say that a salary of $100,000 for a full-time job is a pretty good gig. A six-figure salary for a part-time job is the stuff of fantasy. Except for the Illinois General Assembly, where the majority of members pull down more than $100,000 a year for what is a part-time job. For taxpayers, the news gets worse. When other costs such as pension, mileage, per diem payments and insurance are figured in, taxpayers pay about $32 million a year to the 177 legislators, according to a new report by the Illinois Policy Institute. Illinois legislators are the highest paid in the Midwest and fifth-highest in the nation. It should be noted that this group of 177 legislators have combined to turn Illinois into the worst-run state in the nation. Pay for performance isn’t part of the formula.)
