NBC5
— How Will Legal Weed Work in the Workplace? Illinois’ Pot Q&A With recreational marijuana becoming legal next year, there are a growing number of questions still to be answered. NBC 5’s Regina Waldroup reports. (DIERSEN: To drink booze and to smoke pot is to impair yourself. Why would any employer hire, retain, or promote those who impair themselves? Pot stays in your system far longer than booze. One reason why IRS promoted me in 1972, 1973, and 1974 and GAO promoted me in 1986 is that unlike many of my coworkers, I did not drink booze.)
