CHICAGO SUN-TIMES

In my defense, to qualify myself for better paying jobs, I earned a) a job-related bachelor’s degree when I was 21 in 1970 and job-related master’s degrees when I was 27, 31, and 48, b) job-related professional certifications when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48, and c) a job-related professional license when I was 32.)

DAILY HERALD
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Again, the Daily Herald publishes an anti-Roskam letter. I am a Roskam supporter and I have always been a Roskam supporter. Both Roskam and Hultgren endorsed me in 2000 when I first ran for Republican Precinct Committeeman. Roskam supporters should read anti-Roskam letters that are published. It is called opposition research. Reading the letters help you understand the arguments that Democrats are making, and therefore, help you counter those arguments.

QUAD CITY TIMES
— Thumbs up to Rock Island County GOP Chairman Drue Mielke, for seeking the end of Glen Evans’ campaign for the Illinois House. – Editorial (DIERSEN: How successful have your critics/opponents been in getting rid of you? My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes stress that I am no longer a TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee member, Milton Township Republican Central Committee webmaster, Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member, American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board member, a GAO employee, etc. They stress that extremely few have come to my defense.)
http://qctimes.com/opinion/editorial/editorial-thumbs-up-thumbs-down/article_72ce75e8-3ca9-59c8-95c1-142ee5157692.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The Republican Evans would have Democratic Rep. Mike Halpin in November should he remain on the ballot. But Mielke and several party officials this week sought the suspension of Evans’ campaign after a background check uncovered a raft of charges related to domestic violence stretching back decades. While most were dropped, an Indiana judge issued a warrant for Evans arrest after he failed to appear for a probation hearing. In 2009, Evans’ wife filed an emergency order of protection. Evans’ history is clearly problematic, if not troubling. Mielke was right to try to expunge him.)

SAUK VALLEY
— Voter dilemma haunts Christian conservatives Hold their noses and vote Rauner, or skip it and let Pritzker win easily? – Jim Nowlan (DIERSEN: It certainly seems like Rauner’s political consultants tell him that Republicans will vote for him no matter what, and that therefore, he should pander to voters who are anti-Trump, anti-Protestant, anti-conservative, anti-patriotic, anti-Republican, anti-American, anti-White, anti-male, anti-older people, anti-rich people, anti-gun owners, anti-German Americans, anti-draft avoiders, and/or anti-those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time.)

FOX NEWS
— Trump makes it easier to fire poor-performing federal workers – Alex Pappas (DIERSEN: Assessing job performance is extremely subjective. The Democrats who run the federal government use that subjectivity a) to promote Democrats, and especially those who are minority, female, and/or younger and b) to get rid of Republicans, and especially those who are White, male, older, and/or non-veteran. My Democrat GAO superiors always ranked me in the lower half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes.)

NEW BOSTON POST
— MAY 14, 2018 FLASHBACK: New Hampshire GOP Keeps Marriage in Platform (DIERSEN: I have asked my representative on the Illinois Republican Party (IRP) State Central Committee Bob Grogan to appoint me to the 2020 IRP State Convention Platform and Resolutions Committee. I anticipate even greater efforts by Democrat plants, Libertarian plants, Green plants, and RINOs a) to destroy the IRP platform and b) to destroy the IRP.)
http://newbostonpost.com/around-new-england/new-hampshire-gop-keeps-marriage-in-platform/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The New Hampshire Republican Party continues to support marriage as only between one man and one woman in its platform, despite the efforts of a former chairman. Jennifer Horn, former state party chairman, was excluded from participating in the state party convention over the weekend on a technicality. She had sought to amend the party’s platform plank on marriage, which states that party members: “Recognize marriage as the legal and sacred union between one man and one woman as ordained by God, encouraged by the state and traditional to humankind, and the core of the family.” Horn also wanted to change the party’ support for “traditional families” to “nurturing families,” according to The Union Leader. Horn has recently moved from one ward in Nashua to another, and on that basis convention delegates meeting in Meredith voted to exclude her from taking part in the meeting, according to The Union Leader.)

KNIFE MEDIA
— Elon Musk plans a media credibility site. The media’s response may support his argument. (DIERSEN: Of course, my critics/opponents demonize, denigrate, and condemn a) each and every decision that I make to include links to articles in GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails and b) each and every comment that I make on those articles. They want me to only include links to articles that glorify and praise issues, individuals, organizations, companies, governments, countries, etc. that they are currently promoting. They want me to only include links to articles that demonize, denigrate, and condemn issues, individuals, organizations, companies, governments, countries, etc. that they are currently trying to destroy. They do not want me to make any comments on the articles, but failing that, they want me to only make comments a) that glorify and praise issues, individuals, organizations, companies, governments, countries, etc. that they are currently promoting and b) that demonize, denigrate, and condemn issues, individuals, organizations, companies, governments, countries, etc. that they are currently trying to destroy.)
https://www.theknifemedia.com/world-news/elon-musk-plans-media-credibility-site-medias-response-may-support-argument/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Elon Musk tweets about media, creating a site to rate journalists On Wednesday, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted, “The holier-than-thou hypocrisy of big media companies who lay claim to the truth, but publish only enough to sugarcoat the lie, is why the public no longer respects them.” Musk later tweeted, “Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication. Thinking of calling it Pravda ….” . . . The media’s response to Elon Musk’s comments may have done more to support his argument than to refute it. In many cases, news outlets distorted their coverage with sensational language, one-sided reporting and faulty reasoning. This is reflected in The Knife’s objectivity ratings, which found The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post and USA Today scored between 35 and 42 percent out of 100. These low scores may highlight the importance of applying standards that can hold news outlets accountable for distorted reporting. There are four parts to The Knife’s ratings — spin (the amount of subjective and dramatic language in an article), slant (how much an article supports a single viewpoint), logic (the amount of faulty reasoning in an article), and data (inaccuracies and missing information). Below we’ll examine how spin, slant and faulty reasoning contributed to the overall objectivity ratings for these outlets.)
