GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— Political parties exist to help elect candidates who can and will defend and advance their platform. The Republican Party platform is conservative. It is not “Democrat-Lite.” The only legitimate reason a) to be a Republican Precinct Committeeman/Captain, b) to be an Illinois Republican Party (IRP) State Convention Delegate, c) to serve on an IRP State Convention committee, d) to be an officer of a Republican township/ward or county party organization, e) to be an IRP State Central Committee (SCC) member, f) to be an IRP National Committeeman or Committeewoman, and g) to be the IRP chairman is to help elect candidates in Illinois who can and will defend and advance the Republican Party platform. But in Illinois, in DuPage County, and in Milton Township, far too many of the aforesaid reject far too many planks in the Republican Party platform, most commonly, its personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration, illegal drugs, Second Amendment, and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks. Far too many of the aforesaid get rid of those like me who promote the aforesaid planks. Ever-increasingly, Republican candidates in Illinois paint themselves as being Democrat-Lite if not anti-conservative. Ever-increasingly, they talk and/or act like the Republican Party platform does not exist. The current process for electing IRP SCC members has caused the aforesaid. Should I start writing about the aforesaid who have the most clout, who reject the most planks in the Republican Party platform, who have done the most to destroy those like me who support those planks, who use the current system for electing IRP SCC members to stay in power, who had me removed from the 2024 IRP State Convention Platform and Resolutions Committee? – Dave Diersen
