they will vote to pass ordinances a) to “opt out” of the retail sale of pot and
b) to impose zoning restrictions on the commercial growing of pot. The Wheaton
City Council is seeking applicants for city’s vacant North District City
Council position. Applicants are asked to submit a statement identifying the
three most important issues that they believe the city needs to address in the
next two years as well as their opinion on how those issues could be addressed.
Needless-to-say, applicants should state that discouraging pot usage is one of
