— Coronavirus changed the 2020 money race — and helped Biden erase Trump’s massive cash advantage – Christina Wilkie (DIERSEN: So far, what has your Republican Precinct Committeeman/Captain done to help elect Republican candidates? Since 2000, I have made GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails available to Republican candidates, their political consultants, their campaign managers, their staff members, their volunteers, etc. Last Friday, I finished hand-delivering door-to-door the following to all 150 homes in my precinct a) that had at least one Republican or Independent voter and b) that had no Democrat yard signs: joint candidate piece from the Milton Township Republican Organization, sample ballot, an Illinois Family Institute Trump/Biden comparison piece, literature from the other 13 Republican candidates on the ballot in my precinct in contested races (Mark Curran, Jeanne Ives, Amy Grant, Christopher Kachiroubas, Robert Grogan, Richard Jorgensen, Babette Holder Youngberg, Timothy Elliott, Timothy Whelan, Ann Celine Walsh, Monique O’Toole, James McCluskey, and Richard Felice), and my GOPUSA Illinois business card. 900 of the aforesaid 2,400 pieces had to be folded to fit inside the envelopes provided by the DuPage County Republican Central Committee. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/09/29/election-money-coronavirus-impact-biden-trump.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Biden and the Democrats used the next three months to change nearly everything about the nuts and bolts of the campaign, eschewing many of the ground-level organizing techniques that Obama pioneered in 2008, and instead opting to go almost entirely digital. “Fundamentally, knocking on a door and not reaching anyone doesn’t get you much except leaving a piece of [campaign literature] behind. You might as well send a piece of mail,” Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said at a recent event hosted by Politico. “I know the Republicans want to say, ‘Oh we have, you know, a million door knocks a week.’ Well, that doesn’t really matter. What matters is the conversations you’re having. We have over 2,500 staff across all of our battleground states directly engaging with voters. They’re doing it over the phone, they’re doing it via text, they’re doing it online, they’re meeting people where they are,” said O’Malley Dillon.)
— Biden campaign slams Facebook for ‘regression’ in its efforts to safeguard the election – Lauren Feiner (DIERSEN: I should write a book about candidates, their political consultants, their campaign managers, their campaign staff members, and their volunteers a) who have blamed me and my GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails for all of their problems, for all of your problems, for all of my problems, and for all of everyone’s problems; b) who have discouraged me from sending out GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails; c) who have discouraged everyone from reading GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails; and/or d) who have taken other adverse actions against me. I would focus on those candidates on ballots in my precinct since 2000 a) who have lost elections and/or b) who fear losing on November 3, 2020.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: In a scathing message to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Monday, the Biden campaign accused the company of backsliding on its work to protect democracy in the U.S. by fighting misinformation about the 2020 presidential election. Biden’s campaign manager accused Facebook of failing to act on its commitments to prohibit messages misrepresenting who can vote and how. The letter comes ahead of the first presidential debate Tuesday night.)
