— Kelly leans on experience in Illinois’ Democratic Senate primary. Politics is nasty/vicious. When I ran for the open Milton Township Republican Organization Treasurer position in 2004, I stressed my experience. At that time, I was serving as the Illinois Center Right Coalition Treasurer. I had served as the Association of Government Accountants Chicago Chapter Treasurer for 3 years. I was a licensed CPA. I had passed the CPA and Certified Internal Auditor examinations on my first attempt. I had a master’s degree in accounting. I had worked for IRS for almost 9 years and for GAO for almost 18 years. But my opponent had his operatives and his dupes demonize me, denigrate me, and condemn me. He got 69 votes and I got only 13. He blamed me big time for George Ryan’s problems and for Jim Ryan’s loss to Blagojevich. I should write about the aforesaid.
