GOPUSA ILLINOIS
Political parties exist to help elect candidates who can and will defend and advance their platform. The Republican Party platform is conservative.
Since the 1980s, those who dominate the Illinois Republican Party (IRP) have always a) vehemently opposed direct election of IRP State Central Committee (SCC) members and b) rejected many, if not most, if not virtually all conservative principles.
The first meeting of the 2024 IRP State Convention Platform and Resolutions Committee has been cancelled and I have been removed from the committee. It will be interesting to see who I am replaced with.
I was never provided with an agenda for the meeting and I was never provided with the names or phone numbers of the other 16 members. I was never provided with any rules or procedures that the committee would operate under.
When I am asked why I was removed from the committee, I will respond that it was because I advocate for direct election of IRP SCC members and because I advocate for conservative principles including E-Verify. Please let know what my critics/opponents say the reasons are.
Yesterday, those who have always vehemently opposed direct election of IRP SCC members had their operatives and their dupes rudely remove me from the IRP State Convention Platform and Resolutions committee by charging me with making a false statement in my April 25, 2024 GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletter concerning that committee in 2016 (see below) and that I intended to “leak” inside committee information. That is a pretext. The real reason was that they knew that I have always advocated for direct election of IRP SCC members and that I would continue to advocate and vote for that.
In 2008, they removed Ron Smith from the IRP SCC because he had appointed me to the 2008 IRP State Convention Platform and Resolutions committee and because I advocated for and voted for direct election of IRP SCC members in 2008.
Further, they knew that I believe that the new IRP platform should focus on:
— Promoting personal responsibility, that is, opposing the promotion of dependency on government and charity,
— Promoting traditional marriage and family, that is, opposing the promotion of LGBTQ,
— Promoting right to life, that is, opposing the promotion of abortion,
— Promoting legal immigration, that is, opposing the promotion of illegal immigration,
— Promoting Second Amendment rights, that is, opposing diminishment of those rights,
— Promoting the avoidance of vice, that is, opposing the promotion of booze, gambling, pot, and other vices, and
— Promoting equal opportunity, that is, opposing race and gender based preference giving, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, and age discrimination.
Their charging me with making a false statement in one of my newsletters is extremely serious. it is slanderous. They demand that I remove the following from www.gopillinois.com : “Because of what happened at the 2016 IRP State Convention, I am very concerned that efforts are underway under the table to water down if not officially strike the planks in the IRP platform that promote personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration law enforcement, Second Amendment rights, discouragement of vices, and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving).” The aforesaid is my opinion and I stand by it. They falsely use my aforesaid opinion to falsely charge me with charging the 2024 committee members with being operatives/dupes for Pat Brady and/or Ryan Higgins.
Previously, those who have always vehemently opposed direct election of IRP SCC members had their operatives and their dupes:
— Try to stop me from attending DeSantis’ press conference in Elmhurst in 2023,
— End my service as the Republican fundraiser for Wheaton Independence Day parades and fireworks in 2021,
— Gerrymander my precinct in 2015,
— End my chairmanship of TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois in 2012,
— End my membership on the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee in 2011,
— End my service as the Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) webmaster in 2010 and 2004,
— End my membership on the Illinois Center Right Coalition (ICRC) Steering Committee in 2007,
— Try to get ICRC to censure me for my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters in 2006,
— End my bid to serve as MTRO treasurer in 2004, and
— End my membership on the American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board of directors in 2004.
If you were me, what would you do concerning the aforesaid? Should I write a book about those who oppose direct election the most? I would focus on those who have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois and who destroy those like me a) who refuse to be manipulated or dominated by them, b) who refuse to glorify and praise them, c) who refuse to pander to them, d) who refuse to serve as one or their operatives or dupes, e) who refuse to cover up their wrong doing, and/or f) who refuse or give them money. I would focus on those who reject the personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration law enforcement, Second Amendment rights, discouragement of vices, and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks in the Republican Party platform.
Again, when I am asked why I was removed from the 2024 IRP State Convention Platform and Resolutions committee, I will respond that it was because I advocate for direct election of IRP SCC members and because I advocate for conservative principles including E-Verify.
