— Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund to divest from companies that run immigration detention centers – Robert Channick (DIERSEN: How soon, if not already, will the Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund divest from companies that are run/owned by people who are Trump supporters, Protestant, conservative, patriotic, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owners, German American, draft avoiders, and/or those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time?)

I walked to Trinity Lutheran Grade school in Crete 1953-1961, rode a school bus to Hope Lutheran Grade School in Park Forest 1961-1962, walked to Crete-Monee High School 1962-1964, and drove my 1958 Chevy BelAir to Crete-Monee High School 1964-1966.)

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES
— A fair work week is the fair price of doing business right – Editorial (DIERSEN: While I worked part-time for the Park Forest Post Office 1966-1969, I was often called in “at the last minute” to work because my Democrat coworkers had not come in to work or because they had called in sick “at the last minute.”)
https://chicago.suntimes.com/opinion/fair-workweek-ordinance-price-do-business-right/
(FROM THE EDITORIAL: For the life of us, we don’t understand why a minimum-wage worker shouldn’t have a regular schedule and get an extra hour of pay if asked to come in at the last minute. Is it really too costly to pay a single parent a little extra for saying “no” to their kid’s ball game because they need to say “yes” to flipping burgers at a fast-food restaurant?)

ANSWER: A municipality that has NO individuals, NO organizations, and NO companies that are Trump supporters, Protestant, conservative, patriotic, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owners, German American, or those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time.)

They hint/imply/argue/shout that the people who they work for have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout in Wheaton, in Glen Ellyn, in Milton Township, in DuPage County, and in Illinois. They hint/imply/argue/shout that the people who they work for can viciously destroy any individual, any organization, any company, and any government that they want to. They stress that I am no longer a TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee member, Milton Township Republican Central Committee webmaster, Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member, American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board member, GAO employee, etc.)

POLITICO ILLINOIS
— WALSH accused of scrubbing Facebook pages – Shia Kapos

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Helene Miller Walsh is just a few days into her new job as a state lawmaker and she’s already being hammered by Democrats for her political leanings. They say Walsh, the wife of tea partier and talk-show host Joe Walsh, has “scrubbed her Facebook page of all radical views and photos.” Nancy Shepherdson, the Sixth District Democratic State Central Comitteewoman and co-chair of the Illinois Sixth District Democrats, said in a statement: “Helene Walsh should be straight with the voters of the 51st District. If, for instance, she believes that children should be separated from parents who are applying for legal asylum, she shouldn’t be afraid to say so.” Shepherdson said Walsh deleted a July 3 Facebook post that stated: “Don’t want to be separated from your kids…don’t break our laws.” Democrats from the 10th Congressional District, which also includes Lake County, are using a picture of Walsh smiling at a gun show to help fundraise for Walsh’s Democrat opponent, Mary Edly-Allen. Walsh didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. She told the Daily Herald the other day that she’s an independent conservative who wants to fix the state’s pension crisis and reduce property taxes. She was appointed over the weekend to fill the seat vacated by Nick Sauer, who stepped down after a former girlfriend accused him of posting her private, naked photos on Instagram. Law enforcement is investigating.)

WHEATON-WARRENVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT 200
— Board of Education authorizes November ballot question – Erica Loiacono
https://medium.com/district-200-newsroom/board-of-education-authorizes-november-ballot-question-93438395fe81
(FROM THE PRESS RELEASE: District 200 is seeking voter approval to construct a new Jefferson Early Childhood Center without levying a separate, special property tax to finance the costs. Approval of the ballot question on November 6 would authorize the District to construct the new building, but does not provide authorization for the school district to sell bonds to pay for construction costs. The project would be completed through a lease agreement, payable from operating funds, not through an increase to the bond and interest levy. The Board of Education has developed a plan for construction of a new early learning center on the existing site. Jefferson was built in 1958 as an elementary school and was not originally designed to house a program that serves 3-5 year olds, ⅔ of whom have disabilities or special needs.)

LIFE SITE NEWS
— Trump condemns social media censorship: ‘too many voices are being destroyed’ – Calvin Freiburger (DIERSEN: I should write a book about those who have worked the hardest since 2000 to destroy me and my GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails. Overwhelmingly, they want to stop my promotion of a) the traditional family, right to life, immigration, and/or Second Amendment planks in the Illinois Republican Party platform, b) the illegal drugs and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks in the Republican Party platform, and/or c) the Milton Township resolution against video gambling.)
https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/trump-condemns-social-media-censorship-too-many-voices-are-being-destroyed
(FROM THE ARTICLE: President Donald Trump joined the discussion about political censorship by social media giants such as Facebook and Google over the weekend, calling for unfettered debate and hinting at some sort of government action on the issue. “Social Media is totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices,” Trump tweeted Saturday. “Speaking loudly and clearly for the Trump Administration, we won’t let that happen. They are closing down the opinions of many people on the RIGHT, while at the same time doing nothing to others.” Calling censorship “very dangerous” and “absolutely impossible to police,” the president used his own high-profile battles with the mainstream media as an example. “There is nothing so Fake as CNN & MSNBC, & yet I do not ask that their sick behavior be removed,” he said. “Too many voices are being destroyed, some good & some bad, and that cannot be allowed to happen,” Trump declared. “Who is making the choices, because I can already tell you that too many mistakes are being made. Let everybody participate, good & bad, and we will all just have to figure it out!”)

WEEKLY STANDARD
— How to Throw a Winnable Election – DAVID BYLER (DIERSEN: Whose advice is Rauner taking? It certainly seems like he is taking advice from those a) who want him to lose and b) who want all Republican candidates in Illinois to lose.)
https://www.weeklystandard.com/david-byler/how-to-throw-a-winnable-election
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Illinois: Alienate the Base and Swing Voters Bruce Rauner might seem like an odd fit in this list. He’s the governor of Illinois, one of the most reliably blue states, so it might not be clear that this race was “winnable” in the first place. But other incumbent Republicans in bluer states—like Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and Vermont Gov. Phil Scott—seem to be in good shape despite governing states that are arguably bluer than Illinois. So why not Rauner? The answer is pretty simple—Rauner has managed to alienate his base without winning over skeptical voters from the other side. Rauner, like other blue state Republicans, originally promised not to do much on social issues. But he went back on that promise and expanded taxpayer subsidized abortions. That led to an almost-successful primary challenge—state legislator Jeanne Ives finished just three percentage points behind Rauner in the state’s Republican primary. Other blue state Republicans make up for these transgressions by governing competently. That’s arguably what happened to Phil Scott, who managed to win renomination in Vermont by a solid margin despite losing some support over his a gun control bill. But Rauner had serious issues with the state budget. As a result, his overall approval rating in the most recent Morning Consult poll was only 27 percent—making him the least popular incumbent governor running for re-election.)

Trump’s latest comments come just two weeks after a number of tech companies suspended or banned conservative radio host Alex Jones. – Sara Salinas (DIERSEN: Of course, my critic/opponents want the Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, Milton Township Republican Central Committee, etc. to regulate me and to regulate my GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails.)

WASHINGTON POST
— Our politicians have no idea how the Internet works – Catherine Rampell (DIERSEN: I should write a book about my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes who proudly hint/imply/argue/shout a) that they do not read emails, b) that they do not use Google, c) that they do not visit websites, and/or d) that they do not use the internet. The aforesaid hint/imply/argue/shout that the Democrats in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois learn everything that they know about what Republicans were doing by reading my emails.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Trump has said many times that he never uses email, but he’s far from alone: Lots of lawmakers – including Sens. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.), Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and even Senate Democratic leader Charles E. Schumer (N.Y.) – have more or less proclaimed the same, with pride. With digital dinosaurdom seen as a badge of honor, it’s no wonder that congressional hearings ostensibly about Facebook’s dodgy data practices devolved into clumsy, confused – and bipartisan – queries about: video bloggers Diamond and Silk; the difference between a social media platform and an Internet service provider; how Facebook can possibly make money if it’s free to users; and how to get rid of ads for chocolate.)

— Two New Lawsuits Seek to Stop Discrimination Against Religion The cases seek to expand Supreme Court precedent and establish equality for sectarian education. – Tim Keller and Michael Bindas (DIERSEN: My outstanding parents saved Crete-Monee School District 201-U (http://www.cm201u.org/) lots of money during the 1950s and 1960s by sending my brother and me to Trinity Lutheran Grade School in Crete and then to Hope Lutheran Grade School in Park Forest to stay with the Missouri Synod. I should write a book about those in Wheaton, in Glen Ellyn, in Milton Township, in DuPage County, and in Illinois who paint themselves as being anti-Missouri Synod Lutherans. They promote dependency on government, dependency on charity, LGBTQ activity, abortion, mass/illegal immigration, abolition of the First and Second Amendments, booze, gambling, pot, and other vices, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, retaliation, and even worse things. They paint themselves as being anti-Trump, anti-Protestant, anti-conservative, anti-patriotic, anti-Republican, anti-American, anti-White, anti-male, anti-older people, anti-rich people, anti-gun owners, anti-German Americans, anti-draft avoiders, and/or anti-those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time.)
https://www.wsj.com/articles/two-new-lawsuits-seek-to-stop-discrimination-against-religion-1534803774
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Dave and Amy Carson live with their 15-year-old daughter, Olivia, in Glenburn, Maine. Like many small towns across the state, Glenburn, population 4,543, is too small to maintain its own public high school. Instead, the local government gives families the money it would otherwise spend on education and lets them choose a public or private school for their children. There’s a catch: Maine won’t allow parents to spend taxpayer money on a religious school. Families like the Carsons, who believe a religious school is the best choice for Olivia, get nothing. In Trinity Lutheran Church v. Comer (2017), the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the First Amendment prohibits states from discriminating against religion in the operation of government programs. Two new federal suits, in Washington state and Maine, seek to build on that precedent to end government-mandated religious discrimination in programs that pay for work-study programs and high-school tuition. Although the plaintiffs in these cases live at opposite ends of the country, they face similar discriminatory laws rooted in antireligious animus. A victory in their cases could clear the way for states to adopt programs that empower parents—rather than government—to direct the education of their children.)

But of course, no such complaints were ever filed.)
