(FROM THE ARTICLE: We favor Grasso. In addition to especially thoughtful approaches on difficult issues, he also boasts a range of public experience that would serve him well as a U.S. congressman. Before moving to Burr Ridge, he served on the Thomas Ford Library Board in Western Springs. He also spent 12 years on the DuPage County Board of Health and worked on Burr Ridge’s environmental quality commission before being elected a village trustee. The depth and variety of these experiences suggest a background that will be valuable both in understanding the complexities of the issues facing Congress and in working effectively with members of both parties. . .All offer various expressions of staunchly conservative positions that have little chance of energizing moderates or winning over Democrats who may be disenchanted with the current direction of the party. Grasso, however, presents an especially promising opportunity to mount a challenging and constructive campaign in November. He is endorsed.)

Bailey is too extreme to hold any office.” – David Giuliani (COMMENT: Ever-increasingly, hate-filled conservative-hating conservative-haters promote hatred against Bailey. Do those who endorsed Grasso agree with what Grasso said about Bailey?)
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso has condemned Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey’s 2017 comments comparing abortion to the Holocaust. “As a person with Jewish heritage on my mother’s side, Darren Bailey’s comments claiming abortion is worse than the Holocaust clearly disqualifies him, combined with his many other disqualifying positions, to hold any responsible office in this state,” Grasso, a Republican, said Thursday in a statement on Facebook. “Bailey should withdraw and give Republicans a chance to put forth a viable candidate. He’s already lost the Governor’s race. Bailey is too extreme to hold any office.” In a 2017 video on Facebook, Bailey said he believed abortion was one of the greatest atrocities in modern times. “The attempted extermination of the Jews of World War II doesn’t even compare on a shadow of the life that has been lost with abortion since its legalization,” Bailey said. After the video attracted attention last week, Bailey sought to clarify what he said. “The Holocaust is a human tragedy without parallel,” he said in a statement. “In no way was I attempting to diminish the atrocities of the Holocaust and its stain on history. I meant to emphasize the tragedy of millions of babies being lost. I support, and have met with, many people in the Jewish community in Illinois, and look forward to continuing to work with them to make Illinois a safer and more affordable place for everyone.” Gov. J.B. Pritzker, a Democrat seeking re-election, has launched an ad criticizing Bailey’s 2017 statement. Grasso did not list Bailey’s other “disqualifying” positions. He also did not suggest a replacement for Bailey. On Grasso’s Facebook page, many commenters criticized Grasso in response to his statement and expressed support for Bailey. On Sunday, Grasso reiterated his position on Bailey. “Bailey has not apologized for his comparison of abortion being worse than the Holocaust,” Grasso said. “Republicans who think they can get elected in November on their own merit must decide whether to distance themselves from and disavow the albatross at the top of the ticket.” In the June 28 Republican primary, Grasso lost to Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau in the 6th Congressional District race. Grasso has not publicly endorsed Pekau.)

It’s the model-minority myth. ”Actually, it is true. But my fellow liberals don’t like to talk about it, because it seems to confirm the myth conservatives tell about the United States: that anyone can make it, if they simply try hard enough. That’s false. The odds are stacked against African-Americans, especially, thanks to centuries of slavery, segregation and more, not to mention ongoing current prejudice. (FROM THE ARTICLE: 1. Encourage cooperation. The central objective of organization development is to achieve a cooperative institutional order and quash destabilizing self-interest. Can you imagine a company that could survive with members having divergent motives and antagonistic goals? And yet, the temptation to act in ways contrary to the purposes of organizations is high. Indeed, often the easiest and most lucrative course of action is to accept the benefits of group accomplishment such as compensation while contributing little to the group’s cause in return — much like a public radio listener who partakes in the pleasures of programs without donating to the cause. (Or, as often happens in technology companies, to benefit from the corporate association while concealing one’s best ideas that might personally pay off later.) One way companies try to solve this “free-rider” dilemma is by changing the calculus of the relationship through rewards and punishments. A company might, for example, reward employees’ displays of cooperation or provide public accolades for teamwork, or censure against a lack of cooperation.)
