He was especially envious of my wife’s income and her job travel that enabled us to stay at many luxury resorts and visit many national parks 1978-1992. He stressed to my superiors that my wife and I gave up trying to have children, we did not adopt, and we did not become foster parents. He hinted/implied/argued/shouted that we had lied about our wanting to have children and that we were just selfish rich DINKs. He disapproved of my bringing with me when I transferred from IRS almost 12 years of federal seniority and many unused vacation days and sick days. He was especially furious that I got almost 3 years of full-time federal seniority while I worked for the Post Office 1966-1969 part-time. He crowed to me that he had succeeded in getting Congress to end that seniority benefit.
