— Chris Kennedy slams property tax system. He also used it to get a big break. – CHUCK NEUBAUER and SANDY BERGO  (DIERSEN: What big tax breaks have you been accused of improperly taking?  I deducted graduate business courses that I took at Loyola 1972-1976, graduate accounting courses that I took at DePaul 1976-1980, and graduate finance courses that I took at IIT 1992-1997.  My Democrat superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates in the federal government always hinted/implied/argued/shouted that the undergraduate and graduate courses that I took a) were not job-related, b) did not help me carry out my job duties, c) were taken by me to get a job in the private sector, and d) were a distraction.  To keep their jobs and to get promoted, my Democrat superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates in the federal government focused on getting rid of federal employees who were Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran.)

— Co-living startup plunges into Chicago – ALBY GALLUN  (DIERSEN: While I worked for IRS and for GAO, I never had to “find roommates.” IRS paid me enough that I could buy a new town home when I was 24, a studio condo when I was 25, and a one bedroom condo when I was 27. IRS paid me enough that my wife and I could buy 1017 East Harrison in Wheaton when I was 29. GAO paid me enough that my wife and I could have 915 Cove Court built in Wheaton when I was 35.)

NPR ILLINOIS
— Rauner Sending A Message With Staff Shakeup – SEAN CRAWFORD  (DIERSEN: Since the 1960s, the Democrats who run the federal government have used their hiring, retention, and promotion policies to send a message, namely, that if you are not a Democrat, a minority, a female, or young, do not seek a federal job or try to hold on to a federal job.  It is called patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, Affirmative Action, Diversity, and Inclusion. Because I have always been a Republican, were it not for federal civil service protections, a) the Post Office would NOT have hired me in 1966 or let me work there for almost 3 years, b) IRS would NOT have hired me in 1971 or let me work there for almost 9 years, c) IRS would NOT have promoted me in 1972, 1973, or 1974, d) GAO would NOT have hired me in 1980 or let me work there for almost 18 years, and e) GAO would NOT have promoted me in 1986.)

TMN
— DeSantis introduces bill to provide greater transparency over govt. pensions – Bryan Renbaum  (DIERSEN: Andrzejewski wants to know for federal retires like me: “Who is retired, where they worked, who they are, how much they got, how long they worked, how much they paid into the system.” Since 1966, when I was 18 years old, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have demonized me, denigrated me, and condemned me for earning credits toward a Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) pension. Since 1997, when I was 49 years old, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have demonized me, denigrated me, and condemned me for collecting a $50,856 CSRS pension in today’s dollars.  While I worked part-time for the Post Office 1966-1969, for IRS 1971-1980, and for GAO 1980-1997, I paid into the CSRS $70,932 in yesterday’s dollars (7% of my salary). In today’s dollars, my ending GAO salary was $122,991. So far, in today’s dollars, CSRS has paid me $1,008,644 (238 months X $4,238). Andrzejewski should acknowledge that if my Democrat GAO superiors had not been allowed/encouraged to force me to take their early retirement “offer” in 1997, I might still be working for GAO, still paying 7% of my salary into the CSRS, and CSRS would not have paid me anything. I should write a book about those who allowed/encouraged my Democrats GAO superiors to force me to take their early retirement “offer” in 1997.  They certainly did not side with me in Diersen v. GAO.)
http://www.talkmedianews.com/featured/2017/07/12/desantis-introduces-bill-provide-greater-transparency-govt-pensions/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) told TMN Wednesday that today he will formally introduce legislation aimed at providing greater transparency over government-funded pensions. “Let’s open the books on the federal pension data. Taxpayers have a right to know how their money is being spent and let’s just put that information out there for public consumption,” DeSantis said. “It’s very difficult, I think, to be opposed to that concept and so I think we’ll probably get pretty strong support,” he added. The Taxpayer-Funded Pension Disclosure Act of 2017 will be reviewed by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Adam Andrzejewski, founder and CEO of the Illinois-based nonprofit taxpayer watchdog group Open the Books, spoke alongside DeSantis and said his organization worked with the congressman’s office for three months to help craft the legislation. Andrzejewski said passage of the measure would constitute a landmark victory for transparency advocates. “For the first time it would make subject to the Freedom of Information Act the release of: Who is retired, where they worked, who they are, how much they got, how long they worked, how much they paid into the system – so we can finally bring hard data to the issues of pensions,” he explained. Andrzejewski said research by Moodys suggests that taxpayers on average foot the bill for about $150 billion per year in federal pension funds and that the number increases to about $3.5 trillion when unfunded liabilities are considered. “The amount of money that goes out in terms of retirement annuities each year dwarfs the budget of the state of Texas or dwarfs the budget in the state of Florida each year,” he explained.)

— Electric Cars Are the Future? Not So Fast  Though they’re no longer ugly, impossibly expensive and impractical, electric vehicles need to out-innovate fossil fuels if they are ever to displace the internal combustion engine –  Greg Ip   (DIERSEN: Those who hate “gas and diesel” cars promote “electric” cars. Overwhelmingly, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes a) hate cars, and especially cars made by General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler, b) hate those who own/owned cars made by General Motors, Ford, or Chrysler, and c) hate unions and past, present, and future union members.  I was a union member for almost 12 years.
