POLITICO ILLINOIS
— KINZINGER JOINS JAN. 6 PANEL – Shia Kapos
https://www.politico.com/newsletters/illinois-playbook/2021/07/26/kinzinger-joins-jan-6-panel-raouls-hamilton-story-pritzker-team-takes-shape-493730
(FROM THE ARTICLE: “I’m against [Kinzinger] being appointed by Speaker Pelosi,” said Republican state Sen. Darren Bailey, who is running for governor of Illinois and says Republicans should name Republicans to the committee, and Democrats, Democrats. “In Illinois, we know all too well what happens when you give a speaker this much power and it never ends well for the people. This behavior only leads more people to believe Pelosi is trying to manipulate this commission for political gain instead of having honest conversations to uncover the truth,” Bailey told Playbook in a statement. Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Illinois GOP did not respond to a request for comment. And an official with the party who would only speak on background, said he welcomed Kinzinger’s appointment because it will “drag the party back to being a law and order party.” That they wouldn’t speak on the record is an indication that the party is still grappling with how to juggle the far-right Trump supporters who tend to live downstate (like Bailey) with northern Republicans who, like Kinzinger, are appalled at the insurrectionists.)

I should write a book about RINO precinct committeemen, RINO candidates, RINO elected officials, RINO party leaders, RINO political consultants, RINO major donors, RINO fundraisers, RINO campaign managers, RINO campaign staff members, and RINO campaign volunteers who have done the most since 2000 to destroy the DuPage County Republican Central Committee and to destroy the Milton Township Republican Organization.)
https://cbs12.com/news/local/conservative-pac-formed-to-protest-people-moving-to-florida
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A conservative political action committee (CPAC) is painting a picture for Florida voters, warning that out-of-staters are moving to the Sunshine State in numbers that could potentially flip the state from leaning red to solid blue. The Save Our Sunshine State PAC (SOSS), formed in May, is making the pitch that COVID-19 is bringing unprecedented numbers of Americans to Florida from places like New York. “Massive migration to a state or city has ALWAYS resulted in increased violence and property crime rates, inflation, higher taxes, lower standards of living,” the PAC’s website says. The PAC was created by conservative political activist Rich Logis, who cites internal data that he claims projects that Florida will see thousands of liberal voters move into the state in the coming years. “It isn’t a question of us saying to them ‘you’re not welcome,’ what it’s a question of is us saying to them that ‘we are going to outnumber you in the political process,'” Logis told CBS12 News. “That’s totally inaccurate,” State Rep. Anna Eskamani, who recently founded the progressive voter registration organization People Power for Florida, told the Sun Sentinel. “The governor is doing everything he can to entice more conservatives to come to Florida.” Additionally, Eskamani told the Sun Sentinel that the SOSS website’s language was “very problematic and grounded in a white supremacy type of perspective of the future of our state.” State Rep. Omari Hardy, a progressive Democrat running for Congress in Florida’s 20th House District, told CBS12 News he believes the PAC seeks to further divide Americans. “Pitting Americans against Americans. That’s basically what this is about,” he added. “It’s the logical endpoint of Trumpism. I half expect these folks to propose building a wall around Florida and making New Yorkers pay for it.” Meanwhile, Logis believes Florida voters have to act quickly in order to counteract Democratic voters moving into the state. He says his PAC — which has not yet raised any money, according to filing records — will support voter registration. “That is the solution to make sure that Florida does not become another New York or another California,” he said.)

FOX MUSKEGON
