CHICAGO TRIBUNE
— New directive takes aim at immigrants fleeing gang violence – AP (DIERSEN: What do you say to Democrats who flee the crime and poverty in Democrat areas for the safety and prosperity in Republican areas, but who hypocritically continue to blame Republicans for crime and poverty?)
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-sessions-immigrants-asylum-gang-violence-20180616-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The MS-13 gang made Jose Osmin Aparicio’s life so miserable in his native El Salvador that he had no choice but to flee in the dead of night with his wife and four children, leaving behind all their belongings and paying a smuggler $8,000. Aparicio is undeterred by a new directive from Attorney General Jeff Sessions declaring that gang and domestic violence will generally cease to be grounds for asylum. To him, it’s better to take his chances with the American asylum system and stay in Mexico if his bid is denied.)
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Roskam should increase the $10,000 SALT cap to $20,000 for married filing jointly. Government should encourage marriage and homeownership.

— Google barely moves needle on gender, diversity in workforce – AP (DIERSEN: Google should bring in Charles Bowsher. Bowsher had great success at GAO during the 1980s and 1990s a) hiring, retaining, and promoting young Democrat minorities and young Democrat females and b) making way for them by getting rid of the agency’s non-veteran White male employees who had not made GS-13 (currently $96,403) by age 25, GS-14 (currently $113,920) by age 30, GS-15 (currently $134,000) by age 35, and Senior Executive Service (currently $164,200) by age 40.)

DAILY HERALD
— State must instill bipartisanship as routine for creating budgets – J.B. Pritzker (DIERSEN: To defend and advance the fiscal planks in the Illinois Republican Party (IRP) platform, RINOs are far too happy to dump the traditional family, right to life, immigration, Second Amendment, and other planks in the IRP platform.)
http://www.dailyherald.com/discuss/20180617/state-must-instill-bipartisanship-as-routine-for-creating-budgets
— Business Ledger honors 75 companies as “Best Places to Work in Illinois’ – Richard Klicki (DIERSEN: My Democrat GAO superiors could hint/imply/argue/shout that GAO is a “best place to work” for young Democrat minorities and for young Democrat females because GAO wastes the careers of and gets rid of its employees who are Republican, White, male, and/or non-veteran who do not make GS-13 (currently $96,403) by age 25, GS-14 (currently $113,920) by age 30, GS-15 (currently $134,000) by age 35, and Senior Executive Service (currently $164,200) by age 40. My Democrat GAO superiors could stress the facts presented in Diersen v. GAO. SEE: https://gopillinois.com/documents/)

— Juneteenth Celebration helps kids understand abolition of slavery – Tamara Browning (DIERSEN: How long have your ancestors been in America and where have they lived? What do you say to those who hint/imply/argue/shout that if you are Republican, White, and/or male, a) the longer that your ancestors have been in America and b) the longer that they lived where slavery was legal, a) the more that you have benefited from their discrimination against minorities and against females and b) the more that you should pay the price of Affirmative Action, Diversity, and Inclusion? My ancestors have been in America since 1844 and they have always lived in northeast Illinois.)

NEW YORK TIMES
— Sometimes You Have to Quit to Get Ahead – Stephanie Lee (DIERSEN: Of course, my Democrat superiors, Democrat supervisors, Democrat coworkers, and Democrat subordinates in the federal government always wanted me to quit. Of course, my critics/opponents in the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, Milton Township Republican Central Committee, Illinois Center Right Coalition, and American Association of Political Consultants always wanted me to quit. Of course, my critics/opponents want me to quit as the GOPUSA Illinois editor and as a Republican Precinct Committeeman. They want to replace me with someone who they can manipulate/dominate.)
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/05/smarter-living/knowing-when-to-quit.html
— Why Aren’t More Men Working? – N. Gregory Mankiw (DIERSEN: Democrat politicians want the federal government to hire, to retain, and to promote young Democrat women and young Democrat minorities. Of course, that means not hiring, not retaining, not promoting, wasting the careers of, and getting rid of those who are old, Republican, male, White, and/or non-veteran.)
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/15/business/men-unemployment-jobs.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: With unemployment at 3.8 percent, its lowest level in many years, the labor market seems healthy. But that number hides a perplexing anomaly: The percentage of men who are neither working nor looking for work has risen substantially over the past several decades. The issue, in economist’s jargon, is labor force participation. When the Bureau of Labor Statistics surveys households, every adult is put into one of three categories. Those who have a job are employed. Those who are not working but are searching for a job are unemployed. Those who are neither working nor looking for work are counted as out of the labor force. This last group is ignored when calculating the unemployment rate. The presumption is that if a person without a job isn’t looking for one, then he or she doesn’t want one, and the joblessness is not a problem. But is that really accurate? The data show some striking changes over time. Among women, the share out of the labor force has fallen from 66 percent in 1950 to 43 percent today. That is not surprising in light of changing social norms and the greater career opportunities now open to women. Men, however, exhibit the opposite long-term trend. In 1950, 14 percent of men were out of the labor force. Today, that figure stands at 31 percent. Some of this change is easy to explain. People now spend more years in school, delaying their start of work. In addition, as life expectancy rises, people have longer retirements. A man retiring at age 65 in 1950 could expect to live another 13 years. Today, a man retiring at that age has an average retirement of 18 years. Yet schooling and retirement explain only part of what has occurred. Consider prime-age men, those from the ages of 25 to 54. These men are generally well past their schooling and well before their retirement. Yet this group has also been exiting the labor force. In 1950, only 4 percent of prime-age men were not working or looking for work. Today, that figure is 11 percent.)

They’re passed over for promotions and raises. They’re fired when they complain. – NATALIE KITROEFF and JESSICA SILVER-GREENBERG (DIERSEN: During the early 1990s, to help GAO a) hire, retain, and promote young women and b) to get rid of its employees who smoked (overwhelmingly old White men), GAO gutted the smoking room in its Chicago office and turned it into a lactation room.)

ENTREPRENEUR
— Why Businesses Must Invest More in Human Capital – Dorothy Mitchell (DIERSEN: Both GAO and IRS invested a lot in me in terms of classroom and on-the-job training. But my Democrat GAO superiors wasted what I learned when they forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, did not promote me beyond GS-13, and kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO. My IRS superiors wasted what I had learned by not promoting me beyond GS-12. They would not have done that if I had been a Democrat, minority, female, or veteran.)
