— Politicians battle over immigration policy after Loyola student’s death. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle acknowledge failures helped lead to the student’s death, but disagree on who is to blame for those failures. DD: What have you been blamed the most for? Since 2000, Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct have blamed me the most for their defeats. They stress a) my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters since 2000, b) my TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois leadership 2000-2012, and c) my Illinois Center Right Coalition (ICRC) leadership 2003-2007. I should list all the Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct since 2000 who have suffered defeats and write about those who have had their operatives and their dupes take the biggest adverse actions against me including their ending my leadership of ICRC and TAPROOT.

— Young Degree Holders Are Facing the Grimmest Prospects for Employment in Years. DD: When you graduated from college, what frustrated your job search? For me, when I graduated when I was 21 in 1978, it was potential employers viewing me as being draft bait. I was 1-A and they did not believe that my financial hardship draft deferment application would be approved. In addition, my GPA suffered because instead of studying, I worked far too many hours to work my way through college. In addition, potential employers were under ever-increasing pressure to hire those who did not share my demographics.

— The real reason behind the growing marriage gap: About 40 percent of women surveyed identify as liberal, compared with just 19 percent who said they’re conservative. Young men were more likely to identify as conservative than liberal. Why would anyone be inclined to want to marry someone who does not share their basic values?

WALL STREET JOURNAL
— What if Your Salary Is Too High for Today’s Job Market? DD: According to my critics/opponents, the federal government grossly overpaid me. Back when I was 49 in 1997, GAO paid me $154,682/year (GS-13 Step 10) in today’s dollars. But in my defense, that was not until after I had worked for the federal government for almost 30 years, earned a bachelor’s degree (management) when I was 21, earned master’s degrees in business, accounting, and finance when I was 27, 31, and 48, earned professional certifications in accounting, internal auditing, fraud examination, government financial management, financial services auditing, and forensic accounting when I was 30, 32, 41, 45, 47, and 48, and earned a job-related professional license (CPA) when I was 32. In today’s dollars, my IRS salary was $56,409/year (GS-7) when I was 22 in 1971, $68,999/year (GS-9) when I was 23, $83,482/year (GS-11) when I was 24, $100,059/year (GS-12) when I was 25, and $113,402/year (GS-12 Step 5) when I was 31. My GAO salary was $89,703/year (GS-9 Step 10) when I was 31 and $118,984/year (GS-13) when I was 32. Ever since then, pressure has increased to hire, retain, and promote those who do not share my demographics. All my coworkers who my Democrat superiors promoted over me were Democrats who had less work experience than I had, had less education, had no professional certifications or fewer than I had, and/or had no professional license like the one I had and/or did not share my demographics.

FORTUNE
— ICE agents can make twice the salary of TSA employees—and economists warn their pay is more ‘shutdown proof’ than other government jobs. DD: While I worked for IRS for almost 9 years, I was an IRS Revenue Officer in its Collection Division. Sadly, far too many Democrat IRS Revenue Agents in its Audit Division look down on Republican IRS Revenue Officers. Democrat IRS Revenue Agents were more than happy to follow orders from my Democrat IRS superiors to disallow my education deductions when I was 29 in 1978. I had deducted graduate evening business and accounting courses. They outrageously, disgustingly, falsely, and unethically argued in tax court a) that the courses I deducted did not relate to my job duties, b) that the courses did not maintain or improve my job skills, c) that I took the courses to get a job in the private sector, and d) that I took the courses to qualify myself for a new trade or business. They outrageously, disgustingly, falsely, and unethically ignored the fact that a) my IRS employee manual encouraged me to take the courses, b) the content of my position descriptions, and c) that I stated in my applications that I wanted to take the courses to maintain and improve my IRS job skills. They would not have done that a) if they did not look down on Republican IRS Revenue Officers, b) if I had been a Democrat, minority, female, younger, or veteran, and/or c) if I had not complained about IRS’s political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, and age discrimination.

FED SCOOP
— GAO has been ‘hard hit’ by departures. DD: During the 1980s and 1990s, the Democrats who ran GAO handled Gingrich-led budget cuts by getting rid of its employees who were Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran. They succeed in getting rid of me when I was 49 years old in 1997.
https://fedscoop.com/gao-it-workforce-congress-watchdog-retirements/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Appearing before the House Appropriations Legislative Branch Subcommittee, Orice Williams Brown was asked by Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., how the agency has handled the departures of “almost 200 employees” across the GAO’s workforce following funding fights on Capitol Hill last year. The GAO, which avoided a proposed 40% cut to essentially remain flat year over year, dealt with separations throughout the organization, Brown said, covering everyone from “analysts that directly do the work” to “operations and support across the agency.”)
BUSINESS
— Graduates Face 90% Rejection Rate in Job Hunt. DD: The Democrats who ran GAO in 1980, IRS in 1971, and the Post Office in 1966 hired me because they could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran who would take the job. I would not have gotten the Post Office job if I had not earned a high school diploma and passed the postal employment examination. I would not have gotten the IRS job if I had not earned a bachelor’s degree in business and passed the Federal Service Entrance Examination. I would not have gotten the GAO job if I had not earned an MBA and passed the CPA examination on my first attempt.

MONEY TALKS
— Half of Middle-Aged Americans Are Forced to Retire Early. An unplanned early retirement can have devastating financial consequences. DD: Based on my personal experience, if you retire one minute sooner than you want to, your critics/opponents will forever use that to hint/imply/argue/shout that you were forced to retire because you are a very bad person and even worse things. The more of the following that you are, anticipate/expect that you will be forced to retire early: conservative, Republican, American, White, male, older, non-poor, non-veteran, heterosexual, married, Protestant, German American, and/or have ancestors who have been in America for a long time. Were you forced to retire early? Will you be forced to retire early? My Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire when I was 49 in 1997. What if I had not succumbed to their threats? Their threats included making my next 6 years until I would be eligible for regular retirement a living hell for me. Their threats included constructively demoting me, giving me adverse transfers, giving me unfair performance expectations, giving me unfair performance appraisals, and continuing to rank me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance. GAO was not unionized. It did not unionize until 2007. In retrospect, with benefit of hindsight, I should not have retired. I should have fought to keep my job a) because my critics/opponents have used my being forced to retire early against me so viciously and b) because of the tremendous loss of income that I have suffered and will suffer for the rest of my life.

— Employers opting to eliminate job requirements. DD: While I worked for the Democrats who ran IRS for almost 9 years and GAO for almost 18 years, they ever-increasingly lowered promotion requirements to promote their Democrat employees who were minority and/or female. — Veterans’ Preference. DD: The Democrats who ran GAO in 1980, IRS in 1971, and the Post Office in 1966 hired me because they could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran who would take the job. All during the almost 30 years that I worked for the federal government, many, most, virtually all, and at times, all of my superiors and supervisors were Democrat veterans. They gave tremendous preference to their Democrat employees who were veterans. They blamed Republicans for America losing the Vietnam War, and they especially blamed Republicans like me who were 1-A for the Vietnam War draft but who avoided it with draft deferments. They were furious that because I avoided the Vietnam War draft, I was able to earn a bachelor’s degree in management when I was 21, earn an MBA when I was 27, pass the CPA examination on my first attempt when I was 30, earn a master’s degree in accounting when I was 31, and pass the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt and become a licensed CPA when I was 32. They took many big adverse actions against me.

— Pentagon will remove media offices after judge reinstates NYT’s press credentials. DD: I should write about my critics/opponents who have hinted/implied/argued/shouted the most that I falsely claim to be reporter. According to them, to be a reporter, you have to have a degree in journalism, you have to be paid for what you do, and you have to claim to be nonpartisan. They ignore/dismiss/belittle/badmouth the fact a) that I worked for GAO as an Analyst for almost 18 years, the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 Levels, currently $118,984-$154,682/year, b) that much of what GAO Analysts do is very similar to what reporters do, and c) that I have been the Illinois Reporter for GOPUSA since 2000. I would focus on my critics/opponents who are past and present a) leaders of the Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization, b) Republican elected officials in Illinois, DuPage County, Milton Township, and Wheaton, c) Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct, d) conservative leaders, and e) religious leaders.

ECONOMIC TIMES
— 8 ways job requirements have changed drastically in last 15 years. DD: While I worked for the Democrats who ran the federal government for almost 30 years, they ever-increasingly lowered hiring, retention, and promotion requirements to hire, retain, and promote more Democrats who were minority, female, and/or younger. That ever-increasingly rendered worthless my job related bachelor’s degree, my three job-related master’s degrees, my six job-related professional certifications, my job-related professional license, my almost 9 years of experience working for IRS, and my almost 18 years of experience working for GAO. My Democrat Black subordinate who my Democrat GAO superiors replaced me with when I was 49 in 1997 a) had less work experience than I had, b) had less education than I had, c) had one professional certification while I had six, and d) no professional license like the one I had.
