— Illinois Family Institute advocacy group drops McCann – Rick Pearson
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/politics/ct-met-morning-spin-ken-griffin-jim-durkin-20181017-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The socially conservative Illinois Family Institute said it was rescinding its endorsement of Republican state Sen. Sam McCann’s Conservative Party bid for governor because of a McCann mailer attacking GOP state Rep. Tom Morrison of Palatine. McCann’s mail piece accuses Morrison of being a “Rauner RINO,” a reference to the acronym for “Republican in Name Only.” It reads: “Don’t vote for fake conservatives Bruce Rauner or Tom Morrison.” Rauner has come under fire from social conservatives for supporting legislation expanding abortion, immigration and transgender rights. On its website, the Family Institute accused McCann of an “11th-hour betrayal” of Morrison, who is facing a challenge from Democrat Maggie Trevor of Rolling Meadows. McCann’s candidacy is being funded almost entirely by labor union affiliates of the Operating Engineers. The institute accused McCann of being “bought and paid for” by unions.)
— What if Sen. Elizabeth Warren chose Greek ancestry instead of Cherokee? – John Kass (DIERSEN: How bad are your demographics? One of my worst demographics is that I am 100% German national origin. In my defense, I stress that my grandfather on my father’s side fought the Germans in WWI, that my uncles on my mother’s side fought the Germans in WWII, and my father would have fought the Germans in WWII if he had not been 4-F. According to http://dna.ancestry.com, my ancestry is 33% Europe West, 28% Scandinavia, 24% Great Britain, 11% Ireland, 2% Europe East, 1% Finland/Northwest Russia, and 1% Italy/Greece. What if I had pretended to be Swedish? My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes demonize, denigrate, and condemn people of German national origin. I should write a book about those of the aforesaid who are of German national origin themselves, but who demonize, denigrate, and condemn people of German national origin to curry favor with those who are anti-German American.)

— Preckwinkle receives a controversial campaign contribution – Bill Cameron (DIERSEN: To those who blast me for not giving money to Republican candidates, in my defense, I stress that I offer all Republican candidates GOPUSA ILLINOIS email subscriptions free of charge and without any advertising. GOPUSA ILLINOIS email subscriptions are worth at least $1,000 a year. I spend thousands of dollars each year for newspaper subscriptions, website expenses, and internet expenses. GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails have gone out each and every morning since 2004 and each and every evening since 2015. Those emails have included links to more than 315,200 articles and information on many upcoming events. It takes me about an hour for each 6 links. That means that since 2004, I have spent about 52,500 hours of what is left of my life putting GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails together and sending them out free of charge and without any advertising. The main reason why I have a) less money to give Republican candidates, b) more time to use GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails to help elect those candidates, and c) more motivation to help elect those candidates is the success that my Democrat superiors in the federal government had in wasting my career and forcing me to take their early retirement “offer” in 1997 when I was 49 years old.)

Those who dominate Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, Illinois, and America would give me extremely low scores a) because I promote the traditional family, right to life, immigration, Second Amendment, and the rest of the planks in the Illinois Republican Party platform, b) because I promote the illegal drugs, equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving), and the rest of the planks in the Republican Party platform, c) because I promote the Milton Township Republican Central Committee resolution against video gambling, and d) because I oppose promoting dependency on government, dependency on charity, LGBTQ activity, abortion, mass/illegal immigration, abolition of the First and Second Amendments, booze, gambling, pot, and other vices, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, age discrimination, retaliation, etc.)

— Pre-existing conditions: Does any GOP proposal match the ACA? – Jon Greenberg (DIERSEN: What pre-existing conditions do you have? I have type 2 diabetes. I am obese (BMI 30.7). My vision cannot be corrected to 20/30, let alone 20/20. I need cataract surgery on both eyes. I have partial red/green color blindness. I do not get enough exercise. Because I am a federal retiree, my wife and I pay only $6,000/year for $24,000/year worth of health, dental, and vision insurance. (FROM THE ARTICLE: Illinois’ 6th Congressional District Republican candidate: Pete Roskam (incumbent) Democratic candidate: Sean Casten
CBS News Battleground Tracker Rating: Edge Democrat Democrats are eager to capture Illinois’ 6th Congressional District, which Clinton won by 7 points in 2016. Rep. Pete Roskam is relatively conservative for his wealthy, well-educated suburban district outside of Chicago. He votes in line with the president nearly 95 percent of the time, according to FiveThirtyEight. He also opposes abortion and once called climate change “junk science” — even though he is currently a member of the House Climate Solutions caucus. Roskam voted for the tax overhaul and to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act in 2017. Democrat Sean Casten holds views diametrically opposed to Roskam’s on climate change, as a scientist and a founder of a clean-energy company. Casten is also one of the Democrats running for office who has been endorsed by Obama. Although there has been very little polling in the race, a September poll by the New York Times found Casten trailing Roskam by one point.)
