Political parties exist to help elect candidates who can and will defend and advance their platform. The Republican Party platform is conservative. Who do you want the next Illinois Republican Party (IRP) chairman to be and why? What education, work experience, and political, fundraising, professional, financial, etc. accomplishments do you want that person to have? What proof do you want that shows that person has defended and advanced and will defend and advance the Republican Party platform including its personal responsibility, traditional marriage and family, right to life, immigration, illegal drugs, Second Amendment, and equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks? I should write a book about what past IRP chairmen have done to defend and advance the aforesaid planks. It would be an extremely thin book. Obviously, the next IRP chairman cannot have any skeletons in his/her closets and has to be in a position to spend lots of their time and money to make the IRP successful, that is, to elect Republican candidates who can and will defend the Republican Party platform. The IRP has to dump its “Democrat Lite” policy of attracting independent voters by dumping conservative voters. All Republicans should promote the Republican Party platform.
