— The cost of raising children is rising. DD: My Democrat IRS and GAO superiors and supervisors often decried the time and money they spent raising their children. As I worked for them between 1966 and 1997, I ever-increasingly had more job-related education, professional certifications, and a professional license than they had. According to them, if my wife and I had children, a) I would not have been able to pass the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, earn a master’s degree in accounting in 1980, pass the Certified Internal Auditor examination on my first attempt in 1981, become a licensed CPA in 1981, etc., b) we would not have able to have a new home built in Wheaton in 1984, etc., and c) my wife would not have been able to earn a bachelor’s degree in finance in 1986. They ever-increasingly demonized, denigrated, and condemned us as being disgusting filthy rich DINKs. They would not have done that if I had been a Democrat, minority, female, or veteran.
