GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— Why do people want socialism? At its core, it is their belief that under socialism, all you need to do to advance is to be a good little socialist. Why do people vote for Democrats? At its core, it is their belief that under Democrats, all you need to do to advance is to be a good little Democrat. I ever-increasingly saw that as I worked for the Democrats who ran the Post Office 1966-1969, IRS 1971-1980, and GAO 1980-1997. To advance, I earned a job-related bachelor’s degree in 1970, job-related master’s degrees in 1976, 1980, and 1997, job-related professional certifications in 1979, 1981, 1990, 1994, 1996, and 1997, and a job-related professional license in 1981. Instead of doing what I did to advance, my Democrat coworkers ever-increasingly helped their Democrat superiors waste the careers of and get rid of their Republican employees, and especially their Republican employees those who were conservative, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran like me. All my coworkers who my Democrat superiors promoted over me were Democrats a) who were minority, female, younger than me, and/or veteran and/or b) who had less education than I had, had less work experience than I had, had no professional certification or fewer than I had, and/or had no professional license like the one I had. – Dave Diersen

— Democrat leaders ever-increasingly promote socialism and shout at voters who are the following that capitalism causes their problems: liberal/moderate, minority, female, younger, non-rich, unmarried, LGBTQ, veteran, non-Protestant, non-German American, and/or have ancestors who have not been in America for a long time. To vote for Democrats is to vote for socialism. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— What does your future hold for you politically? For me, it is ever-increasing efforts by anti-conservative Republican leaders in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois a) to stop me from sending out GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters and b) to defeat me as the DuPage County Milton Township Precinct 59 Republican Committeeman in Wheaton. They will ever-increasingly blame me, blame my newsletters, and blame what I do as a Republican Precinct  Committeeman for defeats suffered by Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct. Previously, they blamed what I did as the Republican fundraiser for Wheaton Independence Day parades and fireworks 2005-2019, as the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman 2005-2012, and an Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member 2003-2007. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— What is your position on Independent voters? I disagree with those Republican leaders who discouraged me from hand-delivering the following to the 170 Independent households in my DuPage County Milton Township Precinct 59 in Wheaton: DuPage County GOP-provided envelopes with 300 DuPage County Election-provided mailing labels for Independent voters that contained the outstanding Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) Voter Guide, the sample ballot, and Republican candidate literature from the 14 candidates who provided their literature to MTRO. To discourage me from seeking votes for Republican candidates from Independent voters in my precinct, they stressed that according to polls, 54% of independents say their vote will be mostly to express their opposition to Trump. I stress the 46% of Independent voters who do not say that. According to those who discouraged me, I am far too conservative, and because of that, the more that I do to help Republican candidates, the fewer votes that they will get. I am considering getting mailing labels only for the Independent voters in my precinct and focusing on those households that have only Independent voters. – Dave Diersen

— Anti-conservative Republican leaders ever-increasingly do everything that they can to stop me from sending out GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters. Failing that, they ever-increasingly do everything that they can to stop everyone from reading my newsletters. They are beyond furious that I included a copy of my GOPUSA Illinois Editor business card on the sample ballots that I recently hand-delivered to the 170 Independent households in my precinct. I should write about those anti-conservative Republican leaders who have had the most success in stopping voters from reading my newsletters. I would focus on those who have had the most success in stopping the following from reading my newsletters: a) Republican Precinct Committeemen in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois, b) Republican elected officials in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois, c) Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct, d) major Republican donors, e) conservative leaders, f) religious leaders, and g) registered Republican voters in my precinct. – Dave Diersen

— What discourages voters from casting Republican ballots in primary elections? In Illinois, your voting history is public record. Your casting a Republican primary ballot makes you a Republican. Ever-increasing, Democrats dominate Illinois, DuPage County, Milton Township, and Wheaton. Democrats ever-increasingly discriminate against Republicans, and especially against Republicans who are conservative, White, male, older, Protestant, German American, and/or have ancestors who have been in America for a long time. It is called political affiliation discrimination. Ever since I moved to Wheaton in 1978, I have ever-increasingly seen anti-conservative Republican leaders in Wheaton, Milton Township, and DuPage County welcome the Democrats who move in with “open arms.” – Dave Diersen

BOULDER DAILY CAMERA
— What would socialist policies mean for the middle class? A growing socialist movement promises to make life fairer by putting more of the economy under government control. DD: To vote for Democrats is to vote for socialism.
https://www.dailycamera.com/2026/10/10/what-would-socialist-policies-mean-for-the-middle-class-editorial/
(FROM THE EDITORIAL: With Election Day less than a month away, voters should look beyond campaign slogans and ask what the policies on the ballot would mean for families who built their lives around work, homeownership, savings and the hope that their children can do better. A growing socialist movement promises to make life fairer by putting more of the economy under government control. The Democratic Socialists of America’s 2026 program calls for publicly owned housing, universal rent control and public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries. Those proposals deserve serious scrutiny. They would shift decisions about housing, investment and production away from individuals and businesses and toward government. That shift in control carries real risks for the middle class. Rent control may protect some tenants from increases in the short term, but it cannot create the homes a growing community needs. Research on San Francisco found that rent control reduced displacement for covered tenants while also contributing to a loss of rental housing that pushed market rents higher over time. Policies that discourage construction can leave more families competing for fewer homes. Public ownership raises an equally basic question: Who decides what gets built, what it costs and who gets access? Government programs can serve essential needs, but concentrating control over major industries in government would give political leaders enormous influence over people’s jobs, choices and livelihoods. Calling that “democratic control” does not guarantee competent management or protect citizens from political favoritism. The middle class already feels squeezed by housing costs, healthcare bills, energy prices and taxes. The answer should be to make it easier to build homes, start businesses, find good jobs and keep more of what families earn. An agenda that expands government control while discouraging private investment could narrow opportunity and make everyday necessities more expensive. Warnings about socialism aren’t just coming from Republicans. Sen. John Fetterman has said in fundraising appeals in recent weeks: “I’m always going to reject Socialism and the Anti-American way of life.” Voters should consider why a senator willing to cross partisan lines draws such a clear distinction between socialism and the American principles of individual freedom and opportunity. Candidates’ words matter. Democratic Michigan congressional candidate William Lawrence once described his goal as “destroying the American way of life” while criticizing consumerism. The context matters, and voters should consider his full remarks. But a phrase that sweeping demands a clear explanation of what he would preserve and what he would replace. This is not a choice between accepting every failure in today’s economy and surrendering more power to government. Families need a stronger path to homeownership, better schools, reliable public safety and healthcare they can afford. Those goals require accountable institutions and practical reforms, not promises that government can manage every part of life better than people can. The American dream has never been guaranteed. It depends on individual freedom, hard work and an economy that rewards initiative while giving people room to recover from setbacks. Voters should sound the warning when candidates offer policies that put those foundations at risk. The middle class should not become the experiment on which ideological promises are tested.)
