LAKE COUNTY GAZETTE
— “It was rigged;” Irvin wins Lake GOP straw poll after busing in “elderly Indian senior citizens” with pre-filled ballots
(COMMENT: I conducted many candidate straw polls for the Milton Township Republican Organization and for TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois, and I assured that those straw polls were conducted fairly. I should write a book about those straw polls.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: The campaign of GOP governor hopeful Richard Irvin bussed in “elderly Indian senior citizens” to vote for him in a Lake County Republican straw poll on the primary race Saturday, sources tell Lake County Gazette. They say Irvin campaign aides gave the bused-in attendees pre-filled ballots to vote for their candidate at the event, hosted at the Village of Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center. “They had no idea who was running, or who they were voting for,” a source present, who asked not to be named for fear of retribution, told the Gazette. “They were directed where to walk and when to leave.” “It was rigged,” they said. Irvin Deputy Campaign Manager Anthony Sarros and Political Director Derek Murphy, present at the event, initially “seemed frantic as they waited outside for what we later saw were these buses of voters,” the source said. “I expected that only registered voters who vote in Republican primaries could vote,” they said. “They were clearly from outside of Lake county and had no connection to our county Republican Party. But all were voting for Richard Irvin.” Sources confirmed straw poll voters were not validated as registered voters or Lake County residents by county Chairman Mark Shaw, or Lake County Republican Federation committee member Dawn Abernathy, who organized the event. Candidates were supposed to take questions from straw poll voters, but Shaw wouldn’t allow it, the source said. Shaw, who supports Irvin in the GOP gubernatorial primary, reported the straw poll results as 144 for Irvin, 76 each for both Darren Bailey and Jesse Sullivan, 63 for Gary Rabine and six for Paul Schimpf. “Although Richard Irvin came out on top today, no candidate received a majority of the vote or even cracked 40%, so it appears to still be a race that is wide open depending on who has the best message, who has the best campaign team, who gathers the most support and who raises the most funds to get their message across to the GOP base,” Shaw said on Facebook. Former GOP State Senate candidate Chris Kasperski of Lindenhurst responded to Shaw’s post that his straw poll was “an embarrassment.” Hours after the event, Irvin claimed victory in the Lake County straw poll on his twitter account. “We are honored to announce that we have won the Lake County GOP 2022 straw poll,” he wrote. “This is an enormous accomplishment.” Former GOP state representative candidate Marko Sukovic of Lincolnshire disagreed. “I think the poll’s significance is exaggerated, especially considering many people now know the ‘Lake County’ straw poll was determined by the busing in of unassuming people from outside of our county,” he wrote on Twitter. “Good thing we do not run our elections this way!” Lake Forest Scout writer Gabe F. Guidarini was first to publish reports of the bused-in voters on his Twitter account. The GOP primary is June 28.)

MIAMI STANDARD
— Illinois Republican Wins Straw Poll After Reportedly Busing ‘Paid Voters’ To Inflate Numbers
(COMMENT: I conducted many candidate straw polls for the Milton Township Republican Organization and for TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois, and I assured that those straw polls were conducted fairly. I should write a book about those straw polls.)
https://miamistandard.news/2022/04/23/illinois-republican-wins-straw-poll-after-reportedly-busing-paid-voters-to-inflate-numbers/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Richard Irvin, the mayor of Aurora, Illinois who is running to become the Republican candidate to face off against J.B. Pritzker, won the Lake County Republican Party straw poll today after his campaign reportedly bused in “paid voters” to inflate his numbers. Video captured by Jesse Sullivan campaign volunteer and American Populist Union Coalition Manager Gabe Guidarini and posted to Twitter shows volunteers wearing Irvin campaign gear helping a procession of mostly elderly Indian people participate in the straw poll. “At the GOP Lake County straw poll and Richard Irvin’s campaign just bussed [sic] in a bunch of Indian voters with pre marked ballots,” wrote Guidarini. “They don’t even know who they’re voting for!” Guidarini suggested that they were “paid voters” meant to artificially Irvin’s performance in the straw poll. Guidarini sent two more videos and several images to Valiant News that appear to show the same voters reentering the bus after casting their votes while a person with an Irvin campaign t-shirt stood with their back to the camera. According to the Lake County IL GOP Facebook page, the straw poll required a $25 buy in “sold at the door” or obtained by contacting the party. Area Republicans were invited to hear from candidates in person and vote. Guidarini told Valiant News that the Irvin campaign “bought all the ballots in advance” and “gave them to these people pre-marked with Irvin marked on the ballot” after they arrived. “The other campaigns were very angry about it,” said Guidarini. “Particularly [Jesse Sullivan] as well as the Bailey and Rabine campaigns,” he added. “I know Jesse Sullivan personally confronted a Irvin operative distributing the pre marked ballots, and a Rabine staffer got into a verbal fight with a Irvin staffer over it.” Guidarini told Valiant News that Irvin benefits from “corporate/billionaire money,” and suggested he “resorts” to antics like paid voters because “he has no grassroots support.” Irvin’s ties to Citadel founder Ken Griffin are no secret, with the real estate billionaire pledging $20 million to see Irvin elected. Because of the money, Irvin’s “strategy is based on mass TV use and rigging polls like these,” Guidarini charged. The allegation of paid voters did not stop Irvin from declaring victory from his campaign Twitter account. “We are honored to announce that we have won the Lake County GOP 2022 straw poll,” the account reported. “This is an enormous accomplishment.” At press time, the Tweet had 13 likes. Valiant News contacted the Irvin campaign for comment and did not hear back in time for publication.)

In stark contrast, the campaigns for Darren Bailey and Richard Irvin have guarded them from reporters at public events, limited engagement with the press to specific topics of their choosing, and refused to make them available for interviews on multiple occasions, even when the candidates were in town and available to meet with supporters.)

In Biden’s first year as president, a record 1.65 million Illegal migrants were intercepted crossing into the United States, doubling the encounters in 2020. . .Self-reliance over Government Dependence: America was formed to protect individual citizens from government overreach and oppression. From the beginning, the focus was on ensuring the pursuit of happiness, not hiring politicians to take from one’s neighbor to pay for what one should earn themselves. Fewer people are working; they are looking to Washington for their next government handout. . .Racial Equality: Shouts of “Black Lives Matter,” “Critical Race Theory,” “White Privilege,” and “Black Reparations,” are beginning to be shown for what they are—another form of racism. America is built on the God-based value that all lives matter. We will always need to work to further that ideal, but policies that attempt to put one race over another must never win the day. (DIERSEN: Between 1978 and 1992, while my wife worked for the U.S. League of Savings Institutions, we took four short vacations every year following her business trips, most commonly to luxury golf resorts across America. Most often, we rented a car and visited nearby national parks. Of course, her air fare and our hotel rooms were paid for. Needless-to-say, my Democrat IRS and GAO superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates were beyond furious about that, and especially those whose spouse had little or no income, those who had children, and those who were not married.)
