A South Side native who starred at Richards High School in Oak Lawn before attending Marquette University, Wade, 36, has played in the NBA for 16 years, most of the time for the Miami Heat. He played a year for the Bulls in 2016-2017. Public records show that Wade bought the house new in 2006 with his then-wife, Siohvaughn Funches, for $390,000. After the couple’s divorce, Wade was awarded the house in 2014. Now, Wade is trying to sell the house, which is in Matteson’s Newbury Estates neighborhood. The house has three baths, a large foyer with a vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors throughout, a family room with a gas fireplace and a wet bar, and a master suite with a private balcony, a large walk-in closet and a tray ceiling overlooking the family room. Wade first listed the house in May for $290,000 and last month cut his asking price to $269,900.)
