February 26 Morning Edition

— Before Oscars, Trump attacks New York Times Academy Awards ad – Lynn Sweet  (DIERSEN: What if the Illinois Republican Party State Central Committee passed a resolution by weighted vote calling for Rauner to work with Trump?)
(FROM THE ARTICLE: GOV. BRUCE RAUNER’S TRUMP ALLERGY  Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner, in Washington for Republican Governors Association meetings on Sunday – remains allergic to anything having to do with Trump and is skipping the Sunday Trump ball at the White House.  A spokesman for the Illinois Republican Party said Rauner was returning to Illinois on Sunday. For the record, as long as I am on Rauner: His political and government spokesmen declined to answer questions about why Rauner skipped the National Governors Association conference but did come to D.C. to huddle with the RGA – the political organization which exists to elect GOP governors.)

— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Ever-increasingly, the Democrat media attacks Trump.
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Ever-increasingly, the anti-Jewish Democrat Party tries to turn Jews against Trump.
— Politics at the Oscars and the Trump piñata – John Kass
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Ever-increasingly, Democrats a) encourage foreign countries to send their children to America illegally and b) use those children as cannon fodder.
— Know your candidates before voting – Michael H. Prueter, Naperville  (DIERSEN: How long has your Republican Precinct Committeeman/Captain held that position?  How well does he/she know the candidates?  I have been the DuPage County Milton Township Precinct 9 Republican Committeeman since 1999.  How active is your Republican Precinct Committeeman/Captain in your township/ward/county party organization?  Since 1999, I have the best record by far for attending Milton Township Republican Central Committee (MTRCC) meetings and events. Sadly, the DuPage County Republican Central Committee (DCRCC) does not allow DuPage County Republican Precinct Committeemen to attend its meetings.  However, since 1999, I have one of the best records for attending DCRCC events.  Further, since 1999, I have one of the best records among rank-and-file Republican Precinct Committeemen/Captains for attending Illinois Republican Party (IRP) State Central Committee meetings and events.  I attended the IRP State Party Conventions as a delegate in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016.  I served on the IRP Platform and Resolutions Committee in 2008. The aforesaid, plus my serving as a TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman for almost 7 years 2005-2012, as the MTRCC webmaster for 6 years 2008-2010 and 2000-2004, as an Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member for 4 years 2003-2007, and as the GOPUSA Illinois Editor since 2000, I have a very strong basis on which to form opinions on Republican activists, Republican candidates, Republican elected officials, Republican party leaders, Republican major donors, Republican political consultants, etc., especially in Wheaton, in Milton Township, and in DuPage County.)
(FROM THE LETTER: Local city and township elections are coming Tuesday. Do people really know who they are voting for? Many people are swayed by signs and advertising but don’t really know the quality and abilities of the candidates. The Naperville Township Low Tax Team has excellent incumbent and new candidates on the slate. Rachel Ossyra is the township supervisor and has done an excellent job of keeping taxes down and services at an optimal level. She has been an international business executive, and develops and maintains budgets, manages the township with professionalism, and has earned the support of the people of Naperville Township. She is an excellent public official and deserves to be re-elected. The team of trustees is also a good mix of incumbents and new people who will represent the township with solid backgrounds in business and public service. As a former GOP chairman, I have worked with many great elected officials and party committeemen and supported many of them. People really need to find out who their elected officials are at every level of government and learn about the candidates. It is their local government and their tax money being spent.)
— Political or politically correct? – Wayne Lela, Downers Grove
(FROM THE LETTER: Got a kick out of “Toby Keith decried as too ‘political’ for Naperville Ribfest.” I mean, really, we wouldn’t want too much diversity! One big reason Trump handily beat Clinton was that a lot of decent, moral people are getting really fed up with liberal hypocrisy, liberal judgmentalism, liberal self-righteousness, liberal name-calling, liberal violence and hate, liberal intolerance and liberal bullying. We need to encourage the “politically correct” mob to keep opening their mouths so they can make fools of themselves. We’ll keep winning elections, and they can look in the mirror to see the losers that they are.)
— FRONT PAGE TOP OF FOLD WITH BIG COLOR PICTURE IN NAPERVILLE SUN: Naperville anti-Trumps promote Islam big time.  How soon will these anti-Trumps succeed in getting Naperville to banish those individuals, organizations, companies, and governments that do not promote Islam?
— Mark Giangreco’s penalty for anti-Trump tweet a wake-up call for media members – Phil Rosenthal
— AOL could get a new crop of customers – Hayley Tsukayama  (DIERSEN HEADLINE: I have been an AOL customer since January of 1995.  Many of my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes have demonized me, denigrated me, and condemned me for that.)

— Our election duty to get informed – Editorial  (DIERSEN: What do you say to my critics/opponents, to their operatives, and to their dupes who focus on discouraging everyone from reading GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails?  My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes want everyone to know only what they tell them, no more and no less.)
— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Democrats crow over their success in getting evangelicals to promote LGBTQ activity, that is, Democrats crow over their success in getting evangelicals to promote the anti-evangelical Democrat Party.
— Endorsement: Chapa LaVia, Guzman for Aurora mayor in primary

— The Sunday Spin: Politics with Rick Pearson Full Show 2/26/17 – JASMINE COOPER
(FROM THE ARTICLE: After that, Brad Cole chimes in on the show. Brad is the executive director of the Illinois Municipal League–the state association of municipal governments. Brad will update us on the IML’s 2017 legislative agenda and how it ties into the so-called “grand bargain” that state senators are discussing in Springfield. And for our final guest, we’ll catch up with our good friend of the show,Christopher Mooney. Chris is the director of the Institute of Government and Policy at the University of Illinois and we’ll talk about the “grand bargain” talks, the 2018 race for governor and much, much more.)

— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Ever-increasingly, anti-Trumps promote LGBTQ activity. Democrats run Chicago, Cook County, and Illinois.  How soon will they first banish from Chicago, then banish from Cook County, and then banish from all of Illinois those individuals, organizations, companies, and governments that do not promote LGBTQ activity?

— Rauner’s office: Gov spends 55% of Illinois nights at Mansion – Brian Robbins

— Civility lacking at budget address – Jim Soeldner, Ellsworth

— Highest pay in nation not good enough for Illinois workers – Editorial
(FROM THE EDITORIAL: Someone apparently needs to check the state of Illinois’ email system, because the 38,000 members of the American Federation of State, Callous, Me-First Employees failed to get the three messages from Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner that this state is so broke that we are in a crisis and cannot afford another $3 billion a year in raises. The state’s largest employee union authorized a strike rather than take the same deal 20 other state unions already accepted. They were the nation’s highest-paid state workers at $63,660 in 2015, which is double your private sector average Illinois salary of $32,206. Not to mention, they only work 37.5 hours a week, pay about one-fourth of their platinum health care coverage while taxpayers put in $15,000 a year and their early retirements at age 50 and their premium pensions are the main reasons Illinois taxpayers face a $130 billion liability. It would be interesting to see them strike and watch what happens next. The folks manning the prisons and responsible for law enforcement can’t walk off, so public safety would be OK. Illinois can legally replace striking workers, and Rauner’s office said there are already 18,000 applicants, including 2,000 veterans. The unholy alliance between the state’s Democratic majority and the state employees financing their campaigns is what put us in the $130 billion pension hole and with $12.4 billion in unpaid state bills. We are fools if we make the tax burden even worse in Illinois, which already has the nation’s highest state and local taxes. Jobs and workers are already fleeing Illinois. Missouri gains 20 people a day from Illinois, so which area with the largest population concentration outside Chicagoland stands to suffer the most? Illinois property taxes last year averaged more than double Missouri’s. Missouri just became a right to work state. That rumble you hear is the sound of even more moving vans starting. The thud that follows would be state AFSCME workers refusing to get out of the way.)

Fires Back with a Lesson in Manners – MIKE MILLER (DIERSEN: I have been a reporter for GOPUSA since 2000.  What do you say to Democrats and Democrat plants, to Libertarians and Libertarian plants, to Greens and Green plants, and to RINOs who treat me in public like I am Glenn Thrush?  I should write a book about the times that they have done that, including at the January 19, 2017 Wheaton Chamber of Commence State of the City Address.)

— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Because for many decades, a) Mexico has sent many millions of its citizens into America illegally, b) Mexico has kept many millions of its citizens in America illegally, and c) Mexico has sent many mountains of illegal drugs into America illegally, constructively, for many decades, Mexico has been at war with America. Ever-increasingly, treasonously, Democrats and Democrat plants, Libertarians and Libertarian plants, Greens and Green plants, and RINOs side with Mexico against America.

— DIERSEN HEADLINE: Ever-increasingly, anti-Trumps call for Trump to be destroyed.
— Germany’s Intelligence Service Spied on Journalists – ALISON SMALE  (DIERSEN: It is real easy to spy on me. Just read my GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails.  I should write a book about those who read my emails solely to get information to use against me.  I would focus on activists, candidates, elected officials, party leaders, major donors, political consultants , etc. in Wheaton, in Glen Ellyn, in Milton Township, in DuPage County, and in Illinois who talk and act like they are Democrat plants, Libertarian plants, Green plants, or RINOs.)
