DANVILLE COMMERCIAL NEWS
— Being legal doesn’t make it good – Sherri M. Askren, President, United Way of Danville Area (DIERSEN: If you are religious, conservative, and/or Republican, you should be speaking out against pot. The leaders of the Illinois Republican Party and the leaders of your Republican county, township, and/or ward party organizations should be submitting letters to the editor like this one. Republican candidates and elected officials in Illinois, your county, your township/ward, and your municipality should be submitting letters to the editor like this one. The leaders of charitable, religious, health, education, law enforcement, etc. organizations in Illinois, your county, your township/ward, and your municipality should be submitting letters to the editor like this one.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Good Sunday morning, everyone! How do you feel about the new Illinois law legalizing marijuana? There are pros and cons to it, as there are to any topic, and everyone has his or her own opinion. I hadn’t given a lot of thought on it until I went to Walmart shopping this week. The smell of pot was everywhere — walking by people in the grocery aisles and really strong at the self-checkout lanes on the east end of the store. As a joke I said I think I could have gotten high without even smoking it if I stayed in there much longer. But here is the reality of what I am saying. The strong aroma of marijuana means to me that they most likely smoked it shortly before they came into the store, possibly while driving to the store. It is against the law to smoke marijuana while driving, just as it is against the law to drink alcohol while driving. The possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, by the driver or passenger, is not permitted unless it is in a sealed, odor-proof, child-resistant cannabis container. What else is not permitted according to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services? Using cannabis knowingly in close physical proximity to anyone under the age of 21 years of age who is not a registered medical cannabis patient. Smoking cannabis in any place where smoking is prohibited under the Smoke Free Illinois Act. Facilitating the use of cannabis by any person who is not allowed to use cannabis. The only positive effect of smoking marijuana that I have found is the reduction of chronic pain and it cures a type of epilepsy known as Lennox-Gestaut Syndrome. To me the negative effects outweigh the good, though. Smoking marijuana causes the heart rate to increase by at least 20 beats per minute, and the risk of heart attacks is four times as high as for a person who doesn’t smoke it. Marijuana causes a sting in the mouth and throat and often triggers coughing. Scientist found that people who smoke it regularly had respiratory problems. It also has four times the amount of tar and twice as many carcinogens than tobacco, therefore giving a greater risk to developing lung cancer. As for mothers who smoked marijuana during pregnancy, their babies were born with a delayed neurological development. Causing them problems with memory and responding to visual stimuli. I will admit I was shocked to see the extremely long line of people waiting January one to purchase the product. Many of the dispensaries in Illinois ran out and they and the state made more money in that one day then originally predicted. But just because the state of Illinois decided it was a good idea to legalize marijuana doesn’t mean it’s legal to smoke where you want, when you want, just keep that in mind. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. Live United.)

Have the leaders of the Illinois Republican Party (IRP) and/or the leaders of your Republican county/township/ward party organizations asked you to post messages online? If so, what kinds of messages? I should write a book about IRP, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization leaders who do not want me include links in my GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails to articles that promote the traditional family, right to life, immigration, illegal drugs, Second Amendment, and/or equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving) planks in the IRP platform and/or in the Republican National Committee (RNC) platform. — ‘Throw a punch, for the children’: Pelosi explains to Bill Maher the importance of ‘cold-blooded’ tactics to save country – Anthony Leonardi (DIERSEN: I should write a book about those who have thrown punches at me to save TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, Milton Township Republican Organization, Illinois Center Right Coalition, American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter, etc.)
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/throw-a-punch-for-the-children-pelosi-explains-to-bill-maher-the-importance-of-cold-blooded-tactics-to-save-country
(FROM THE ARTICLE: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Democrats need to utilize “cold-blooded” tactics to win the 2020 election for the sake of the country’s future, during an interview with Bill Maher. Calling her the “Iron Lady,” Maher asked Pelosi on his Friday show for her thoughts on the current state of the Democratic Party. “I feel like the Democratic Party is very often the victim of their own purity tests,” Maher said. “I don’t worry about that,” Pelosi said. “You have to be ready to take a punch. And you have to be ready to throw a punch, for the children.” Pelosi, 79, said the Democratic Party needs to use “disciplined, focused, cold-blooded” tactics to win in 2020, just as they did in 2018. Maher concluded the interview by saying, “Good to have your cold-blooded self on our side.” Earlier in the interview, Maher, 63, insisted the Left must refrain from hating the president’s supporters, even if they hate the president himself. “You can hate Trump. You can’t hate the people who like him,” Maher said, warning, “That way lies, literally, civil war.” Pelosi agreed with Maher’s sentiment, adding that she respects constituents with whom she disagrees. Pelosi also mentioned Trump’s impeachment, saying, “And you’re impeached forever! No matter what the Senate does, it can never be erased.” Pelosi said Trump gave the Democrats no choice but to impeach him, claiming, “The president was self-impeaching almost every single day.”)

AMERICAN THINKER
— Deep Statism behind the GAO’s decision about Trump’s Ukraine funding – Andrea Widburg (DIERSEN: My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes support all the adverse actions that the Democrats who ran GAO 1980-1997 took against me including forcing me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, giving me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, always ranking me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, not promoting me beyond GS-13, getting rid of my mentor in 1987, keeping me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forcing me to take a $20,157 (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Yale is in the midst of a continued push for diversity of faculty including demographics of race, gender, and sexual orientation. Now, many professors at the school are calling on the institution to strive for a different type of diversity. “Yale talks a lot of diversity, but basically all that diversity means here is skin color…there’s definitely no diversity here when it comes to politics. (FROM THE ARTICLE: Robert Hyde, a GOP congressional candidate who has become embroiled in the impeachment investigation, on Saturday said he had been operating Facebook pages displaying posts in his defense while purporting to be run by groups of Trump supporters in different states. After The Wall Street Journal reported on the pages’ apparent connection to Mr. Hyde, Facebook Inc. late Friday took them down. A Facebook spokeswoman said when the company finds networks of pages misleading people by concealing who is behind them, it requires owners to show additional information. Mr. Hyde didn’t respond Friday to Journal requests for comment, but he tweeted a public response Saturday. “WTF Facebook?! Please make this right and return our pages. I and other editors put a lot of time and money into these pages. You didn’t give us a deadline for the disclaimer and you said it was only necessary for and if we wanted to boost,” Mr. Hyde tweeted on Saturday, and linked to the Journal’s article. Boosting is when a Facebook user pays to reach new audiences. “We haven’t boosted in two years. No warning, nothing,” Mr. Hyde continued. “Do you all work for Adam Schiff? #facebook #stoleourpages #theft”)
