— More firms used Facebook to block older job seekers, lawsuit alleges – Josh Eidelson (DIERSEN: Facebook is a Democrat website. QUESTION: What percent of Facebook employees are anti-Trump, anti-Protestant, anti-conservative, anti-patriotic, anti-Republican, anti-American, anti-White, anti-male, anti-older people, anti-rich people, anti-gun owners, anti-German Americans, anti-draft avoiders, and/or anti-those whose ancestors have been in America for a long time? ANSWER: !00%)
http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-biz-facebook-job-seekers-age-discrimination-20180529-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A proposed class action lawsuit alleging Facebook’s ad placement tools facilitate discrimination against older job-seekers has been expanded to identify additional companies, further widening the latest front in claims that candidates are being filtered out by gender, geography, race and age. “When Facebook’s own algorithm disproportionately directs ads to younger workers at the exclusion of older workers, Facebook and the advertisers who are using Facebook as an agent to send their advertisements are engaging in disparate treatment,” a communications union alleged in the amended complaint- citing a legal test for employment discrimination-filed Tuesday in San Francisco federal court. The union added claims under California’s fair employment and unfair competition statutes to the lawsuit, which was initially filed in December.)
— How I would’ve made my 40s a happier decade of my life – Jonathan Rauch (DIERSEN: What do you regret? Should I regret not pretending to be Swedish national origin, not being a Democrat or a RINO, avoiding the draft, not even trying to earn a degree from an Ivy League university, accepting the Post Office’s job offer in 1966, accepting IRS’s job offer in 1971, accepting GAO’s job offer in 1980, complaining about patronage and political affiliation discrimination, complaining about reverse discrimination, complaining about age discrimination, complaining about retaliation, filing grievances and other complaints, filing lawsuits, not painting myself as being a yes-man, not being a yes-man, not glorifying and praising, pandering to, and giving money to those who have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout, not being a church member since the 1970s, not attending church services since the 1970s, not giving money to a church since the 1970s, giving up trying to have children, not adopting, not becoming a foster parent, not owning dogs, etc.?)
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-perspec-midlife-crisis-changing-slump-0601-story.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Today I know why: Recent research in economics, psychology and neuroscience shows that aging has an independent effect on life satisfaction, separate from factors such as health, wealth and other life circumstances. In other words, time is not an emotionally neutral backdrop. Instead, its effect on happiness is U-shaped: Other things being equal, people’s life satisfaction tends to decline from their early 20s until midlife, then turns around at about age 50. Armed with this knowledge, I often wish I could go back and warn the pre-40 me of what was coming. I first started to notice the onset of nagging dissatisfaction around my 40th birthday; I figured it would pass. But counting my blessings, as I often did, only deepened my funk. As my 40s went on, the perplexing feelings of restlessness and regret deepened. At 45, I attained the highest prize in my profession, yet not even that success hushed the inner critics saying I had wasted my life. By my late 40s, I painfully concluded that dissatisfaction and ingratitude were my new normal.)

— The wife of Chicago’s police superintendent has filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, claiming she’s a victim of discrimination. (DIERSEN: While I worked for GAO 1980-1997, all the many employees who my Democrat superiors assigned me to supervise were one or more of the following: Democrat, minority, female, older, disabled, veteran, and/or an employee who they wanted to get rid of. While I worked for the federal government for almost 30 years, no discrimination complaint was ever filed against me. No Democrat employee ever charged me with discriminating against Democrats. No minority employee ever charged me with discriminating against minorities. No female employee ever charged me with discriminating against females. No older employee ever charged me with discriminating against older employees. No disabled employee ever charged me with discriminating against disabled employees. — What’s Really in Those New Executive Orders? – Jeff Neal (DIERSEN: Of course, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes side with my Democrat superiors in the federal government who took the following adverse actions against me. My Democrat GAO superiors forced me to retire in 1997 when I was 49 years old, gave me unfair performance expectations and appraisals, always ranked me in the bottom half of my coworkers for pay-for-performance purposes, did not promote me beyond GS-13, got rid of my mentor in 1987, kept me off audits of IRS for all but 3 of the almost 18 years that I worked for GAO, and forced me to take an $19,203 pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer from IRS to GAO in 1980. My Democrat IRS superiors did not promote me beyond GS-12, disallowed my education deductions in 1978, got rid of my mentor in 1975, and disallowed my partial day per diem claims in 1974. My Democrat Post Office superiors forced me resign in 1969 and disallowed my sick leave requests in 1969 and 1968.)
