CHICAGO TRIBUNE
— First round of ‘ancestors’ chosen for Evanston’s Restorative Housing Program reparations grants, but the selection draws more criticism of the historic offering – JOSHUA IRVINE
(COMMENT: Ever-increasingly, Democrats hint/imply/argue/shout that if you are a conservative old White male Republican, the longer that your ancestors have been in America, the more that you have benefited from their discrimination against minorities and against women. How soon, if not already, will Democrats demand that conservative old White male Republicans disclose when their ancestors immigrated to America, where they immigrated from, where they lived, what they did, etc.? All my ancestors immigrated during the 1840s and 1850s from what is now Germany. They always lived in northeast Illinois. On my father’s side, they worked in a brick factory in Chicago, homesteaded a farm in southeast Crete, and then operated Crete’s only hardware store. On my mother’s side, they were share-croppers and then bought and operated a farm in Grant Park along the Indiana border.)

(COMMENT: I took graduate accounting courses at DePaul 1976-1980, I took the Becker CPA Review 1978-1979, and I passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979. But I should have majored in accounting at UIC 1966-1968, NIU 1969-1970, and Loyola 1972-1976 and taken the examination much sooner. I worked for IRS 1971-1980 as a Revenue Officer, the last 5 1/2 year of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 Levels, currently $88,229-$99,994/year.
