— Far too many of those who want to keep the current in-house system for electing Illinois Republican Party (IRP) State Central Committee (SCC) members destroy those like me who promote direct election of IRP SCC members.
I have promoted direct election of IRP SCC members big time since I became a Republican Precinct Committeeman in 1999 and the GOPUSA Illinois Editor in 2000. I served on the teams that fought for direct election at the IRP State Conventions in 2008 and 2012.
I should write a book about those who oppose direct election the most and who because of that have taken the most/biggest adverse actions against me..
I would focus on those who reject the most planks in the IRP platform. I would focus on those who have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois. I would focus on those who destroy those like me a) who they cannot manipulate or dominate, b) who refuse to glorify and praise them, c) who refuse to pander to them, d) who refuse to serve as one of their operatives or dupes, e) who refuse to cover up their wrong doing, and/or f) who refuse to give them money. I would focus on those who have their operatives and their dupes do their dirty work.
I would focus on past and present leaders of the IRP, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO).
I would focus on those a) who removed me from the 2024 IRP State Convention Party Platform and Resolutions Committee, b) who ended my service as the Republican fundraiser for Wheaton Independence Day parades and fireworks in 2021, c) who ended my bid to be selected to fill a Wheaton City Council vacancy in 2019, d) who gerrymandered my precinct in 2015, e) who ended my chairmanship of TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois in 2012, f) who ended my membership on the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee in 2011, g) who ended my service as the MTRO webmaster in 2010 and 2004, h) who ended my membership on the Illinois Center Right Coalition (ICRC) Steering Committee in 2007, i) who almost got ICRC to censure me for my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters in 2006, j) who ended my bid to serve as MTRO Treasurer in 2004, and k) who ended my membership on the American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board of directors in 2004. – Dave Diersen
