— Far too many of those who want to keep the current in-house system for electing Illinois Republican Party (IRP) State Central Committee (SCC) members destroy those like me who promote direct election of IRP SCC members.

I have promoted direct election of IRP SCC members big time since I became a Republican Precinct Committeeman in 1999 and the GOPUSA Illinois Editor in 2000. I served on the teams that fought for direct election at the IRP State Conventions in 2008 and 2012.

I should write a book about those who oppose direct election the most and who because of that have taken the most/biggest adverse actions against me..

I would focus on those who reject the most planks in the IRP platform. I would focus on those who have lots of religious, government, political, and/or financial clout in Wheaton, Milton Township, DuPage County, and Illinois. I would focus on those who destroy those like me a) who they cannot manipulate or dominate, b) who refuse to glorify and praise them, c) who refuse to pander to them, d) who refuse to serve as one of their operatives or dupes, e) who refuse to cover up their wrong doing, and/or f) who refuse to give them money. I would focus on those who have their operatives and their dupes do their dirty work.

I would focus on past and present leaders of the IRP, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO).

I would focus on those a) who removed me from the 2024 IRP State Convention Party Platform and Resolutions Committee, b) who ended my service as the Republican fundraiser for Wheaton Independence Day parades and fireworks in 2021, c) who ended my bid to be selected to fill a Wheaton City Council vacancy in 2019, d) who gerrymandered my precinct in 2015, e) who ended my chairmanship of TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois in 2012, f) who ended my membership on the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee in 2011, g) who ended my service as the MTRO webmaster in 2010 and 2004, h) who ended my membership on the Illinois Center Right Coalition (ICRC) Steering Committee in 2007, i) who almost got ICRC to censure me for my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters in 2006, j) who ended my bid to serve as MTRO Treasurer in 2004, and k) who ended my membership on the American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board of directors in 2004. – Dave Diersen

(FROM THE LETTER: By becoming a Republican Committeeman for your local county or State Republican Party, you can vote on County bylaws and help elect better county and state party leadership of the republican party and local county GOP. Plus, get out the vote for better MAGA and America First candidates to get on the ballot and get more republican voters to your very own voting precinct and change the republican party from inside the party by recruiting more precinct committeeman to the republican party to outnumber the moderates in the republican party. No precinct committeeman? No republican party. It’s that simple. There are over 200,000 empty precinct committee seats in the Republican party that need to be filled. If you need more information on becoming a precinct committeeman, go to Dan Schultz’ website The Precinct Committeeman is the most powerful office in the country because we help get the candidates on to the primary ballot and endorse candidates and can even primary candidates off the ballot. Plus, we elect leadership all the way up to the RNC Chair.)

In my 1980 GAO Analyst application, I stressed a) that I had worked for IRS for almost 9 years as a Revenue Officer, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 Levels, currently $97,079-$110,020/year, b) that much of what IRS Revenue Officers do and what GAO Analysts do is very similar, c) that I had passed the CPA examination on my first attempt in 1979, d) that I had almost completed the requirements for a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul, and e) that I had earned an MBA from Loyola in 1976. The Democrats who ran GAO ignored/dismissed/belittled/badmouthed the aforesaid by forcing me to suffer a $22,996/year (21%) pay cut in today’s dollars to transfer.)
— What You Aren’t Hearing About Marijuana’s Health Effects. Bertha Madras, a leading expert on weed, outlines the science linking it to psychiatric disorders, permanent brain damage, and other serious harms. – Allysia Finley (COMMENT: Democrats ever-increasingly push more pot.)
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Young people who smoked marijuana in the 1960s were seen as part of the counterculture. Now the cannabis culture is mainstream. A 2022 survey sponsored by the National Institutes of Health found that 28.8% of Americans age 19 to 30 had used marijuana in the preceding 30 days—more than three times as many as smoked cigarettes. Among those 35 to 50, 17.3% had used weed in the previous month, versus 12.2% for cigarettes. While marijuana use remains a federal crime, 24 states have legalized it and another 14 permit it for medical purposes. Last week media outlets reported that the Biden administration is moving to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous Schedule III drug—on par with anabolic steroids and Tylenol with codeine—which would provide tax benefits and a financial boon to the pot industry. Bertha Madras thinks this would be a colossal mistake. Ms. Madras, 81, is a psychobiology professor at Harvard Medical School and one of the foremost experts on marijuana. “It’s a political decision, not a scientific one,” she says. “And it’s a tragic one.” In 2024, that is a countercultural view.)

In my defense, I have stressed a) that my parents never attended college, b) that my father was only the first of my ancestors to earn a high school diploma, c) that he never earned more than $50.000/year in today’s dollars, d) that he almost always worked second jobs to pay the family’s bills, e) that he died suddenly when he was 47 and I was 21, f) that my mother never attended high school, and g) that I had to work my way through college. I should write a book about mt critics/opponents. I would focus on those whose parents had lots of money, who bought them cars, who paid for their college expenses, and/or who got them jobs.)
