— On Saturday, May 25, 2024, delegates to the Illinois Republican Party (IRP) State Convention in Collinsville will be asked to vote on a new IRP platform and a new set of resolutions. But so far, the IRP Platform and Resolutions Committee has not provided delegates with drafts of the aforesaid. If I had not been removed from the committee because of my calling for strengthening the platform, including calling for E-Verify, and because of my calling for direct election of IRP State Central Committee members, I would have called for the committee to provide delegates with drafts of the new draft platform and the new draft set of resolutions by now. Further, I would have called for the IRP to provide delegates with a detailed agenda for the convention’s May 25 general session by now. – Dave Diersen
