CHICAGO TRIBUNE
— FRONT PAGE WITH COLOR PICTURE: Are video games addictive like drugs, gambling? Some who’ve struggled say yes – John Keilman  (DIERSEN: The more that you oppose vices like I do, the harder that those who promote vices work against you.  Those who promote vices in Wheaton, in Glen Ellyn, in Milton Township, in DuPage County, and in Illinois work especially hard against me.  Republicans oppose the promotion of vices.  Democrats and Democrat plants, Libertarians and Libertarian plants, Greens and Green plants, and RINOs promote vices.)

— Joliet DCFS investigators competed for $100 gift cards given for closing most cases – David Jackson, Gary Marx and Duaa Eldeib  (DIERSEN: While I worked for the federal government for almost 30 years, my Democrat superiors and supervisors acted like Democrat politicians had promised them bonuses and promotions a) for hiring, retaining, and promoting young Democrat minorities and young Democrat females and b) for getting rid of their employees who were Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran.)

— At these prices an MBA is not all it should be – Kim Gittleson  (DIERSEN: When did you earn your MBA and from what university?  I earned my MBA from Loyola in 1976.  My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes who do not have an MBA degree have always demonized, denigrated, and condemned the value of MBA degrees.  My critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes who have an MBA degree from an Ivy League university have always demonized, denigrated, and condemned the value of MBA degrees from non-Ivy League universities.)

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES
— Portland mayor aims to cancel Trump free-speech rally, fears ‘hatred’ – AP  (DIERSEN: Ever-increasingly, Democrats make it clear that they want to abolish the First Amendment, that is, to abolish Trump supporters.  Will anti-Trumps succeed in a) banning Trump supporters from asking questions at Wheaton Chamber of Commerce (WCC) events, b) banning Trump supporters from attending WCC events, and/or c) banning Trump supporters from being a member of WCC?)

DAILY HERALD
— FRONT PAGE TOP OF FOLD WITH COLOR PHOTOS OF MCSWEENEY AND DRURY: What happens when two suburban lawmakers defy Rauner, Madigan – Kerry Lester (DIERSEN: Who do you defy?  I defy Milton Township Republican Central Committee (MTRCC), DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Illinois Republican Party (IRP) leaders who are Democrat plants, Libertarian plants, Green plants, and RINOs a) when I promote the traditional family, right to life, immigration, illegal drugs, equal opportunity (no race or gender based preference giving), and other planks in the IRP platform and in the Republican Party platform and b) when I promote the MTRCC resolution against video gambling.  What has happened to me?  I am no longer the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman, a Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee member, the MTRCC webmaster, an Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member, or an American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board member.)
http://www.dailyherald.com/news/20170530/what-happens-when-two-suburban-lawmakers-defy-rauner-madigan
(FROM THE ARTICLE: But going it alone is not without costs, big or small. When engraved clocks by Irish-American designer Simon-Pearce were handed out to the rest of the Democratic caucus earlier this year, Drury didn’t get one. . .Subsequently, Drury was removed from his spot on the judiciary committee. Most bills Drury has sponsored this session have landed in a sort of legislative purgatory — the rules committee — and would emerge only if Madigan and Democratic leaders allowed it, something Drury has pointed out in news releases. . .Drury says he gets praise back home in his North suburban district, but at the Capitol, he’s ostracized and spends much of his free time on his own. During Democratic caucus meetings, he appears sullen and withdrawn and often leaves the party sessions early when Democrats begin discussing upcoming votes on important bills. . .McSweeney rarely attends caucus meetings at all. “The governor doesn’t need to tell me what to do. And that’s what the Republican caucus is, getting marching orders from the governor’s office,” said McSweeney, an investment specialist. Instead, McSweeney spends his time trying to drum up votes for the bills he hopes to pass and dining with Democratic lawmakers and close confidants of Madigan. He’s made a habit of inviting members of the black caucus, including Democratic state Rep. Christian Mitchell of Chicago, to town hall meetings in his Northwest suburban district. Unlike Drury’s experience, where many of his bills have died in committee, McSweeney said he hasn’t been retaliated upon by the GOP, and his bills — which also depend on Democratic leaders calling them for a vote — have tended to pass by wide, bipartisan margins. . .Both Drury and McSweeney have the financial wherewithal and the help of wealthy friends to fund their campaigns without depending on party leaders for donations. Neither received more than $1,500 from party sources in the last election cycle, Illinois State Board of Elections records show.)
— FRONT PAGE: Bill to stop cop pension double dipping, based on Naperville case, passes – Chacour Koop  (DIERSEN: If I sought a government office or a political office, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes would shout that I get both a Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) pension ($50,856/year) and Social Security ($2,028/year). In my defense, my Social Security is dramatically reduced because I get a CSRS pension.)

FEDERAL TIMES
— GAO says federal employee salaries should be based on performance, not seniority – Tony Ware  (DIERSEN: Since the 1960s, the federal government’s top priority has been to hire, to retain, and to promote young Democrat minorities and young Democrat females.  In 1989, to help GAO hire, retain, and promote young Democrat minorities and young Democrat females, the Democrats who ran GAO implemented their pay-for-performance system. They used the massive subjectivity and flexibility in that system a) to hire, to retain, and to promote young Democrat minorities and young Democrat females and b) to get rid of GAO employees who were Republican, White, male, older, and/or non-veteran.)

FED WEEK
— Federal Career Transitions  (DIERSEN: GAO audits IRS.  Needless-to-say, in 1980, my taking an $18,847 (21%) pay cut (from GS-12 Step 5, currently $90,173, down to GS-9 Step 10, currently $71,326, to transfer from IRS to GAO was a big career transition. Of course, my critics/opponents, their operatives, and their dupes demonized, denigrated, and condemned my transfer. They viciously demonized, viciously denigrated, and viciously condemned the job skills and the knowledge of IRS that I had acquired by working for IRS for almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years at the GS-12 Step 1-5 levels, currently $79,563-$90,173.  They would not have done that if I had been a Democrat, a minority, a female, or a veteran.)
