Starting in 2000, as a Republican Precinct Committeeman, I would circulate petitions in my precinct for all the Republican primary candidates. Typically, I would get 30 signatures for each candidate. But I am increasingly discouraged from doing that because too many candidates and their political consultants, major donors, fundraisers, pollsters, campaign managers, campaign staff members, and campaign volunteers have blamed me and have blamed my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters for their defeats. Most commonly, they demonize me, denigrate me, and condemn me as being far too conservative, and therefore, the more that I do to help elect a candidate in a primary, if that candidate wins that primary, the more votes that candidate will lose in the general election. They hint/imply/argue/shout that candidates who I help win Republican primary elections are too conservative to win general elections. Further, candidates routinely get copies of the petitions that their opponents filed and look for anything that they can use against their opponents. They especially look to see who circulated petitions for their opponents and what they can use about those circulators against their opponents. Beyond my being demonized, denigrated, and condemned as being far too conservative, my demographics are terrible: White, male, older, draft-avoider, gun-owner, Protestant, 100% German American, my ancestors have been in America for a long time, union member for almost 12 years, federal employee for almost 30 years, federal retiree for almost 26 years, and someone who fights against the promotion of dependency on government and charity, LGBTQ, abortion, mass/illegal immigration, diminishment of Second Amendment rights, booze, gambling, pot, and other vices, patronage, political affiliation discrimination, reverse discrimination, and age discrimination. The more that candidates are really Democrat plants, Libertarian plants, Green plants, Independent plants, or RINOs, the more that they do not want me to circulate their petitions. In my defense, political parties exist to help elect candidates who can and will defend and advance their platform, The Republican Party platform in conservative. If you are not going to defend and advance the Republican Party platform, you should not seek or hold any kind of government or political office as a Republican.

Over the last three years, their survey results have shown that approximately one-fourth of high school senior boys identify as “conservative” or “very conservative.” By contrast, 13 percent of boys surveyed identified as “liberal” or “very liberal.” In other words, nearly twice as many boys in their senior year are conservative than are liberal.
