Trump was trying to refer to the deadly 2017 violence in Charlottesville between white supremacists and anti-racist protesters. The annual honor for 2024 recognized 18 schools in Illinois, including a number of schools in the Chicago suburbs.  (COMMENT: How high are the schools in your school district ranked? Are the rankings moving up or down and why? I graduated from Crete-Monee High School (CMHS) in 1966. As more and more and more Democrats moved into the school district, CMHS’s ranking has moved down and down and down.)

CHICAGO TRIBUNE & CHICAGO SUN-TIMES
— Pedro Martinez refuses to resign as Chicago Public Schools CEO (COMMENT: In retrospect, with benefit of hindsight, I should not have succumbed to my Democrat GAO superiors’ threats to take their early retirement “offer” when I was 49 years old in 1997. Assuming that their efforts to downgrade me, if not fire me, had failed, I would have worked at least until 2003 when I would have been eligible for regular retirement. My Civil Service Retirement System pension and retirement savings would be much greater. I would not have had to suffer the tremendous sigma of being forced to retire early; that stigma is dramatically greater because I have three job-related master’s degrees, six job-related professional certifications, and a job-related professional license. I would not gotten involved in Republican politics, and therefore, my critics/opponents a) could not have blamed me for Jim Ryan’s defeat and for all the other defeats that Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct have suffered since 2000, b) could not have rudely ended my service as an American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board member, c) could not have rudely ended my service as the Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) webmaster not only once, but twice, d) could not have rudely ended my bid to serve as MTRO Treasurer, e) could not have rudely tried to get the Illinois Center Right Coalition (ICRC) to censure me for my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters, f) could not have rudely ended my service as an ICRC Steering Committee member, g) could not have rudely ended my service on the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee, h) could not have rudely ended my service as the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois chairman, i) etc.)

DAILY HERALD
— Early voting kicks off Thursday for most suburban counties, but not Cook (COMMENT: Have the leaders of your Republican township/county Republican party organization provided your Republican Precinct Committeeman with campaign literature to distribute in their precinct? So far, the leaders of the Milton Township Republican Organization have not provided me with any campaign literature from the Republican candidates on the ballot in my precinct: Trump/Vance, John Booras, Amy Grant, Bob Berlin, Jaye Wang, Bob Grogan, Richard Jorgensen, Nicole Prater, Annette Corrigan, Jeff Castle, Kenton Skarin, Jason Helland, and John Costello.)

— DuPage Forest preserve candidates to square off in Glen Ellyn forum
https://www.dailyherald.com/20240924/local-politics/forest-preserve-candidates-to-square-off-in-glen-ellyn-forum/
— A divisive moment averted: Plans to bring inflammatory speaker to suburbs would only have hurt Illinois GOP (COMMENT: Political parties need to vet candidates. At least since 2000, everything would have been different politically if the Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and/or Milton Township Republican Organization had vetted candidates, and especially if they had put me on their candidate vetting committees. I would have called for full background investigations of candidates. I would have used the investigative skills that I acquired a) working for GAO as an Analyst for almost 18 years, the last 11 years of which at the GS-13 Step 1-10 Levels, currently $115,439-$150,075/year, b) working for IRS for as a Revenue Officer almost 9 years, the last 5 1/2 years of which at the GS-12 Step 1-5 Levels, currently $97,079-$110,020/year, and c) becoming a Certified Fraud Examiner, Forensic Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and Licensed CPA. I should write a book about candidates a) who never should have run because of the big skeletons that they had in their closets and b) candidates who lost general elections because the big skeletons that they had in their closets came out after they won primary elections. In 2004, in Illinois, Jack Ryan ran in the Republican U.S. Senate primary. (SEE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_United_States_Senate_election_in_Illinois )  His primary campaign team, which did not include me, knew that he had an extremely big scandal that would come out if he won the primary and would force him to withdraw. Nevertheless, they went forward anyway and defeated his primary opponents including Jim Oberweis, Steve Rauschenberger, and Andrew McKenna. Ryan withdrew after that extremely big scandal came out and the Illinois Republican Party State Central Committee replaced Ryan with Alan Keyes. If Ryan’s extremely big scandal had come out before the primary election, Oberweis, Rauschenberger, or McKenna would have won and everything would have been different. Oberweis, Rauschenberger, or McKenna might have defeated Obama in the general election. By way of contrast, Blair Hull might very well have won the Democrat primary if Obama’s campaign had not disclosed a far less serious marital issue that Hull had. I was involved in the aforesaid because of my roles as the GOPUSA Illinois Editor, an Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee member, the TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois Vice Chairman, the Milton Township Republican Organization (MTRO) webmaster and a fundraising committee member, and an American Association of Political Consultants Midwest Chapter board member. In 2003, Ryan, Oberweis, McKenna, and other candidates a) attended a picnic that I organized in my precinct and b) Ryan Oberweis, Rauschenberger, McKenna, and other candidates participated in a major MTRO straw poll fundraiser that helped organize. Ryan won that straw poll. Most of my critics/opponents wanted McKenna to win that straw poll and the primary.)

FROM ILLINOIS CENTER-RIGHT SOURCES

GOPUSA ILLINOIS
— According to my critics/opponents, I cause Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct to lose elections because I paint them in my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters as being more conservative than they are. Ever-increasingly, my critics/opponents discourage Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct from asking me to help elect them. I should write a book about that. I would focus on those candidates who want/wanted to be painted as being Democrat Lite, RINO, anti-conservative, if not anti-Republican. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— My critics/opponents do not want anyone to read my GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters. I should write about my critics/opponents. I would focus on those who are past and present a) leaders of the Illinois Republican Party, DuPage County Republican Central Committee, and Milton Township Republican Organization, b) Republican leaders of Illinois, DuPage County, Milton Township, Wheaton, Wheaton Park District, and Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, c) Republican candidates on ballots in my precinct and their political consultants, major donors, fundraisers, pollsters, campaign managers, campaign staff members, and campaign volunteers, d) conservative leaders and activists, and e) religious leaders and activists. – Dave Diersen
http://www.gopillinois.com
— I am a nonprofit conservative political and government news and commentary aggregator. I promote the Republican Party platform. I am no one’s operative or dupe. No one tells me what to do. Newspaper (print & digital) subscriptions are expensive. To put GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters together, I pay the following yearly: Chicago Tribune – $363.48, Chicago Sun-Times – $286.00, Daily Herald – $481.00, Naperville Sun – $103.48, Crain’s Chicago Business – $225.00, New York Times – $1,040.00, Wall Street Journal – $845.00, and USA Today – $119.88 for a total of $3,463.84/year plus more for many more print and/or digital subscriptions. Many websites benefit from the traffic that I drive to them. I pay Constant Contact $680.40/year to send the newsletters out. My critics/opponents are beyond furious that I have the money, time, experience, ability, health, and motivation needed to put GOPUSA ILLINOIS newsletters together and send them out every morning free of charge and without any advertising or donation requests. They continue to do everything that they can to stop me from sending out the newsletters and to stop everyone from reading them. They do not take or return my phone calls. They read my newsletters or have their operatives and dupes read them for “opposition research.” They have their operatives and their dupes do their dirty work and destroy those like me a) who they cannot manipulate or dominate, b) who refuse to glorify and praise them, c) who refuse to pander to them, d) who refuse to serve as one of their operatives or dupes, e) who refuse to cover up their wrong doing, and/or f) who refuse to give them money. I should write about the aforesaid who have taken the most/biggest adverse actions against me. – Dave Diersen
